  1. Could you expand upon this? This is why I'm voting to drop it. From Arthmoor's description, it will cause a lot of issues unless there are compatibility patches made and being the mod is in its infancy, patches are not going to come anytime soon. I think it best we wait to see how this mod develops.
  2. You don't need this. You can set up the autosave in the INIs and the game will save at those intervals.
  3. Does the added dialogue fit and sound okay? I heard that the author pieced it together from vanilla files so he/she didn't have to make new audio for it. If that is okay, I think you're probably right in your review, kryptopry. Marked for Testing.
  4. Moved a couple posts to the proper thread for discussion: https://forum.step-project.com/topic/7679-paarthurnax-bypass-by-gshinji/
  5. SSME is no longer needed as long as you have SKSE. Sheson's memory patch is built in. You just have to set up the skse.ini file. Did you try the argument "-forcesteamloader"? Add it to the arguments section for SKSE executable in MO (without the quotes).
  6. You can (if I remember) customize those little widgets in the Start Menu to be your most used apps for quick access.
  7. LOOT and MO wouldn't really complain about those things. Sometimes LOOT will tell you to ensure you install this or that, but it's not that often it does so. Use this section for ensuring ENBoost is set up: https://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:ENBlocal_INI/Memory SKSE some with it, but you must set it up in the INI: https://wiki.step-project.com/Skyrim_Script_Extender#Recommendations If you are using DynDOLOD on high, up the numbers to 1024 and 512.
  8. In light of Arthmoor's quote, I think we should probably not mess with this one for STEP and drop it from Testing. Thoughts?
  9. Okay, that's the one I downloaded. Just looking at the files, it looks like vanilla and HD Baskets only has one texture for all baskets (vanilla looks like rope to me). This mod gets around that limitation by using custom meshes pointing to the different textures.
  10. Well, first off I'd say you need to make a Batched Patch and then a custom compatibility patch for your custom set of mods. This is the only way you can be sure that a mod conflict isn't causing the issue. Second thing that comes to mind is to ensure you have all the compatibility patches for your mods (this will make a custom patch easier). Third is to make sure you're running the memory patch from SKSE and ENBoost is set up properly, if you're running an ENB Preset. If you're not and aren't using ENBoost, do so. Fourth thing that comes to mind is to take a look at mods that become script intensive during combat. Overloading the game's engine with scripts can cause freezes and crashes.
  11. Maybe it's just the lighting but they look way out of place. I'll install this and test it out in-game to see how they look in their natural placements and lighting. Which resolution did you use?
  12. I think so but I'm not positive. I don't use that mod. It stops the quest line after retrieving the Dragonstone.
  13. Here's the dev if anyone is interested: https://bitbucket.org/DienesToo/skyproc-library/pull-request/6/fix-for-large-records-with-more-than-2-16/diff
  14. STEP users Paarthurnax Dilemma which sounds like it's about the same thing. Time is Everything sounds interesting but it is also different than what this mod does. There's nothing to really set with this mod (you can adjust the number of days you're required to wait. 7 days is default. 5 would be just as good).
  15. Wrap it up in the STEP Patches. IMO, anything that can be accomplished in xEdit alone is not a "mod" that requires permissions for us to use or incorporate because ANYONE can come along, do the work manually themselves, and accomplish the exact same thing without "stealing" the mod. If it's just simple edits in xEdit, then it's free game. Just provide a credit for the "idea".
  16. They don't. You can disable the indoor rain sound for Splash of Rain in the MCM, if I remember correctly. This is what I have done and it's working great.
  17. Yeah, I have Splash of Rain installed and like the effect. It's subtle so you hardly notice it, plus the effect is customizable in the MCM menu. I say we add this one to the next release.
  18. You can continue on. The only reason for the backup is so that the vanilla files in the Data folder will remain vanilla. You'll be fine to continue.
  19. Increase your SKSE memory numbers in your SKSE.ini file.
  20. There is an untested fix for it but I'm at work and currently don't have the link to the dev site.
  21. I'll add these to my new play-through when I get home...If I remember.
  22. If it's anything like this mod, I'm all in! I feel like I'm immersed into the game more because this is forcing me to experience talking to the NPCs and taking odd jobs while I wait instead of just running through the main quest which you can do rather quickly.
  23. The pebble only version is the one I'm using. Love it! Makes the game more beautiful and immersive not seeing those pointless things EVERYWHERE!
  24. Someone will try to do it. They've been working on Skywind forever.
