Vivid >> Ethereal I only added a couple sky cloud compares here because Ethereal only replaces the cloud textures and does nothing else. Vivid does a lot more. Besides retexturing the clouds, it also includes: Adjusted cloud speedsFire (particle) smokeMountain Clouds (helps hide z-fighting while adding to the atmospherics in a nice way)Distant FogsMistsSteam (dwemer ruins)Volumetric FogIn my opinion, both mods are very nice. We can certainly use both, if the Ethereal clouds are preferred (they certainly are beautiful!). However, I would say we should include Vivid regardless. It provides a lot of atmospherics to the game that were missing by raising the effects already in the game up to a higher lever. A word of caution though, the volumetric fog can slow down lesser systems; however, its effect is amazing! You can actually see the fog all around you and if "feels" as though it has "substance". You "feel" like you're actually walking through it.

Ah, scars! Thank you! I have a mod in mind for those. Northborn Scars is a popular mod and those scars are actually very good. -

ACCEPTED FAR - Forgotten Argonian Roots (by redtox)
TechAngel85 replied to Dzurky's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Marked for Testing. This is a possible replacement for Better Beast Races. I've looked at several retextures for Argonians and this one seems to be the best. -
ACCEPTED WSCO - Windsong Skyrim Character Overhaul (by Windsong)
TechAngel85 replied to Crimson13's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Marked for Testing. This is a possible replacement for XCE. Install the female only option. This combined with Painterly only leaves 45 textures that haven't been replaced. Will need to do some research to figure out what those textures are. Check the OP for any specific information. -

I don't know about the parallax, but about the only difference between classic Skyrim and SSE is the distance you can go with modding atm. Since SKSE64 isn't released for SSE yet, you'll miss out on some of the amazing mods available on classic. However, it's only a matter of time before SSE catches up to classic in terms of modding. I personally use a small set for mods for SSE and am lightly playing it from time to time. It's still a good experience.- 425 replies

STEP v2.2.9.2 Official Bug Reports
TechAngel85 replied to TechAngel85's topic in Step Skyrim LE Guide
"Blacksmithforge water fix" for the troughs. No suggestions for the war print. You'll just have to do a search on the Nexus. -
STEP v2.2.9.2 Official Bug Reports
TechAngel85 replied to TechAngel85's topic in Step Skyrim LE Guide
There are other mods you can use for the war paint and trough water has always been like that. -
I'm pretty sure DynDOLOD still wanted this unactivated before running.

DROPPED Skyrim Flora Overhaul (by vurt)
TechAngel85 replied to JudgmentJay's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Adjusting the tree setting as I stated found on the visual tab. -
Turning down the effects is going to give you better results than just lowering the texture resolution. Lower texture quality is not an option that newer games typically have anymore because of the advancements in technology. My suggestion would be to run BethINI. It has presets included which are better rounded out than the vanilla presets. The newer effects like godrays are going to kill performance so you'll likely have to turn them off.

Never said it would be, but happy to see you could figure out a few things. I think most of us are using the Ultra preset. Even if can't run it on Ultra, you can tweak what you need to get it to where you'd like. You'll have to tweak AF setting to whatever you are using as it only auto detects full ENB Presets. If you're using the driver or ENB AF, then turn it off. Else you can leave it on and use the game's AF. Overall they're all pretty much identical. I personally use the driver AF. You should also tick the "Recommended Tweaks" box, if you haven't already. Most of the settings have a helper in the status bar as to what the settings doe, but DY should really create a manual for this tool. -
Did you make sure you're antivirus wasn't blocking anything?

Choose a preset and then if you're not happy with it after testing you can either go up the next preset or look on the 'visuals' tab and adjust the Trees section. -
NPCs Not Executing Scripts (Suspected)
TechAngel85 replied to Shadriss's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Script lag is just that...lag. If it was lag, then the script would eventually run; just delayed. I opened up the CK to take a look at the quest and Stage 90 simply enables the guard's camp in Riverwood. This puts into play three packages: MQ103SoldiersToRiverwoodMQ103RiverwoodGuard1HoldPositionMQ103RiverwoodGuard2HoldPositionThese packages simply tell the guards to hold position and then run to Riverwood. Well, it tells them to walk, but ICAIO changes the speed to run. These packages are found under the Package heading in xEdit, if you want to look at them in your setup. My guess is that 'MQ103SoldiersToRiverwood' is not firing off which tells the guards to run to Riverwood as long as Stage 90 is complete but Stage 100 is not. Stage 90 is set when Irileth completes her speech and this is when "MQ103SoldiersToRiverwood" should fire off and the guards run to Riverwood. Stage 100 seems to trigger a function in the CWScript which is the global script of the Civil War. Particularly Stage 100 is calling the "AddGarrisonBackToWar" function of the script. What this function does, I'm not entirely sure, but the only thing that seems to set this Stage is starting the civil war on the Imperial side. Therefore, Stage 100 should probably not have been set manually. However, looking into this, quest MQ103 also relies on parts of MQ102 being complete (which is you reporting to the Jarl about the dragon attack). As you can see, messing with quests in the game can run very deep... You should look to see if anything is altering those packages listed above. Finding the cause of this issue, is quite literally looking for a needle in a hay stack. -

TechAngel85 replied to JudgmentJay's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Yep. It's in the INI settings. You should just run BethINI, if you have not already. BethINI will be replacing the entire INI section in the next Guide release so you can get a head start by using it now.
