  1. Hmm no that's not supposed to happen, but you'd be more likely to get help for that issue on FNVLodGen nexus page. I don't know about Project Mukoto either I'm afraid, it would probably have some issue with FCO's changes to eyes, but you'd probably get more help for that on the nexus page as well.
  2. Virtual Super Resolution is CCC controlled downsampling. It allows you to select higher resolutions in game setting just like other downsampling settings. I run it with little to no impact in FNV (with ENB), but I haven't tried it in newer titles. Don't think you can set DoF in CCC.
  3. Good to hear, glad I could be of (some small) assistance! :)
  4. I love DoF, but then again I always found reality a bit unsatisfying (#MidnightInParis), so the realism selling point didn't always stick with me. Damnit, if I wanna roleplay as living camera, I'll roleplay as living camera!
  5. Glad to be of assistance. I haven't touched that part of the guide so I'm not too familiar with the impacts of different .ini settings. Let me know if you encounter any other problems (though make a new post so that it's easier to find if someone else encounters the same issue).
  6. You're right about Temporal AA not being included in FNV ENBs, Audley, which is sad because it's the only AA that helps with the shimmering I get (especially from using AO) when using ENB shaders in both Skyrim and FNV. Had no idea he'd been able to reduce the ghosting in the newer versions though, this made Skyrim all the more tempting for me again. Would you mind going a bit more into detail about how you use that film grain effect. I downsample too, but it hasn't really rid me of the fairly bad aliasing.
  7. Hi, Audley! :pirate: All over the place. Don't have much on my desktop though so the lock screen is more important to me (gets shared to my Surface Pro via the Microsoft Account). WA looked like a cool place though. ^^ Monitor, but I do have a console which is connected to my TV I guess. TN, but mostly just because I've had it for a long time. or .-. (FNV's not a Bethesda game ) "Wonderful! Time for a celebration... Cheese for everyone! Wait, scratch that. Cheese for no one. That can be just as much of a celebration, if you don't like cheese, true? You've run a maze like a good little rat. But no cheese for you yet. Well, maybe a little." Brus, haha. Windows Defender
  8. From the first comment page of NVSR: From looking over your mods I couldn't spot anything that seemed potentially unnerving, and I'm not entirely sure how either NVSR or NVAC works, but I'd guess NVAC is only supressing a problem with some other mod, making it appear (crash) later than it would without it.
  9. I've been using If It Wasn't For Betsy Remastered for a while now without any trouble. I didn't merge it with the other mods though.
  10. What do you mean by "it won't show up"? Does it display an error of some kind? Cause there isn't actually a Brahmin retexture used in the guide. I was thinking of adding something like Brahmin Variant Redux (link), but I haven't really got around to testing it, and there aren't really any other retextures that I know of covering them.
  11. I'm confused as to why you saw it as necessary to reinstall the game? With MO this should be pretty easy to avoid by simply establishing that you can run the game in vanilla after installing it, then doing all other mod installing through MO after which everything would remain in its original state and you could revert to that simply by disabling any given mods in MO's left pane.
  12. The optimized files mentioned in SR:LE comes from doing it manually (or well, partially with scripts I suppose) with ddsOpt, but from looking at the Bethesda Hi-Res Optimized - Universal on the Nexus page you linked it contains several vanilla textures so if you want to use that mod all you have to do is sort it after the unmanaged vanilla (base game and DLC) textures and the optimized textures (base game and DLC, inluding the Hi-Res DLC).
  13. Great! If it launches with the STEP mods it shouldn't be hard at all to determine what is causing you problems.
  14. It's extremely difficult to deteremine what causes something to fail to launch if you've installed a lot of mods at once. I assume you have Mod Organizer (given the tag that seems logical)? The simplest thing to do would be create a default vanilla profile and test what works from there to isolate the problem. In my experience it could be everything from a faulty .ini setting to missing masters. Keep in mind that the reason STEP doesn't include stuff as rapidly as private guides such as the one you followed is because they make an attempt at making it work across a wide variety of setups and also help provide support for it. (mind you I haven't been that involved in following STEP's development for a while, so if I'm wrong or left something out, feel free to correct me).
  15. Try deleting the inis in your documents folder (My Games/FalloutNV) relaunching it from steam to regenerate them (not MO) and then copying their contents over to the inis in new "vanilla" profile you made in MO (using MO's .ini editor). MO has separate INIs for its profiles, so that could be the culprit. This also means that if you run the launcher from MO in a separate profile it can't touch your default inis or other profile's inis. Also make sure the archiveinvalidation.bsa is sorted first in your bsa list in MO's right pane.
  16. You'd need to install the game again with Steam first, then paste over the backup to make sure steam doesn't remove a lot of the files from your backed up content when "rediscovering" the game. With MO it might be a good idea to copy the profile and mod folders + whatever you have in the overwrite folder, then reinstall MO to get the registry entries right.
  17. And you shouldn't be. Just for the record, do you have any way of verifying this doesn't happen if you copy your MO profile, disable all mods and launch the game through the 4GB loader (could isolate it to being the ini files, 4GB loader or NVSE). A few other pointers that might have impacted stability: Have you rememberd to set DefaultHeapInitialAllocMB=400 in the NVSE.ini? Might also be worth attempting to tweak that a bit, but I'd postpone that until we've verified whether it's stable when using the method I described above.Have you got NVAC installed? That's the mod to help with stability in the guide, and it also generates an NVAC.log that might be worth checking out in the main install folder.
  18. Looks interesting. I feel bad about not having been able to add much to the guide in the past couple of weeks, but I've simply been drained of energy when not expending what little I had on my pistol. I did however try my hand at fixing something that's been bothering me with ADAM for the longest time, namely the wanted poster with the color-printed image of the outcast ranger's head. It wasn't as easy as I'd hoped but I managed to rid it of the harsh outlines and give it a bit less color (the photo he'd slapped down the middle, which I found rather strange considering how well done the rest of the worn paper is). Here's a comparison picture (new one on the right):
  19. It's not by any means supposed to freeze that often. It does in part rely on hardware, but not to the extent of causing the problems you describe. Would you mind sharing your hardware specs anyways? Sounds to me like your game might be having issue with CASM (the autosave manager). Have you tried disabling it to see if it makes any difference? Also, did you install the mods onto a new game or an existing save?
  20. I can't provide support for merging mods outside of the ones included in the guide as I'm not all that familiar with how the script works, but the small ones like "Rebuild Ed-E" (well pretty much all of them except "fire arms 4 sale") should be fairly simple to merge. With MO it's not that hard to revert if they turn out not to work correctly anyhow.
  21. Yes, the mod itself comes in the shape of a plugin, but it's just a single record changing a game setting, so it can easily be added to the F&L Game Tweaks plugin you make at the end of the guide. The instructions Ess added in his additional weapons pack for the M24E1 is just to add it onto the corpse of the outcast ranger from the mini-quest in ADAM for balancing reasons (as it's much more balanced to find the weapon in the middle of a Deathclaw Nest instead of a chest at the very first town in game). It's completly safe to ignore that, but I highly recommend you install ADAM anyways as it's by far the most extensive overhaul of one of the game's most iconic armors. It's also made to be very easy to install and completly up to date, as I rewrote the installer back in December.
  22. If you can verify it works as intended with the animations recommended from the animations replacer (unable to check that myself currently) we can consider adding it to the instructions for the custom esp (at the end of the guide) as it wouldn't cost a plugin slot and seems a reasonable thing to include.
  23. The Inheritance has some interior issues (misaligned walls and flooring leaving rather obvious holes) I had a look at but never finished fixing up (mostly because I haven't finished the mod yet), but I'll probably end up adding it to the guide at some point with those problems fixed. If you come across any other problems let me know. @Ess: I actually had no idea Geck PoweUp was a thing, it fixes soooo many things I've been super annoyed with!
  24. I saw that, but I might not be able to write down any instructions for it until Sunday. Now if only I could get the LOD texture generator to work with MO hmm...
