  1. No need to apologise, we all make mistakes :) If it was also a learning experience, it's only in plus. Glad you got it sorted! Marking as solved and moving the thread.
  2. I used to use it before and I'm considering using it again, but mods that add A LOT of items to crafting menus are known to cause CTD's when crafting menus are opened. Another reason is that this mod is not in STEP, so I wanted to exclude as many conflict-prone non-STEP mods as possible in this particular case. I don't think it caused me any issues last time I was using it, but it was quite a long time ago and I learned great deal since then, so I will be reassesing this mod at some point in future :) Let's not get this thread off-track though.
  3. Can't remember now, but I can provide screenshots when I'm back home.
  4. I use it and I like it, it saves me quite a lot of time ;) The reason it's not in STEP is that it's neither a fix, nor a vanilla improvement.
  5. Not sure what to suggest now to be honest. If you want to, you can try wiping your install and redoing everything from scratch, but stick to STEP only this time and then test. When you've got it working, you can start adding mods one by one and keep testing. The other possibility is that you have something wrong in your INI files, but I can't really think of any specific entries... It's a strange one.
  6. Discussion thread: Animated Clutter by JackMorris Wiki Link Self explanatory. Falmer and Tribal Falmer chests mesh replacer that adds insides of the chests and animates them when they are activated. Accepted for STEP:Core 2.2.9 (no boats)
  7. The author stated they will provide both 1K and a 512 versions soon :)
  8. I also use Aiyen's Skylight ENB (the new, not released - yet- version). I'm lucky enough to be a tester for it :) so it's pretty much suited to my needs, as he implements most of my suggestions, based on constructive criticism and both positive and negative feedback, haha! On a more serious note though, Aiyen created this ENB for ELFX/CoT combo, which I use, he also provides specific ESP file and some texture corrections to fit with the ENB. It's very performance friendly, and yet it looks amazing. It makes the exteriors environments look harsh and cold, as northern land should be. It also provides cozy interiors for houses, inns etc., and at the same time caves, forts and this kind of interiors are unforgiving, dark and mysterious. It's absolutely brilliant piece of work, and I prefer it much more to Unreal Cinema and RealVision - the two most popular ENBs amongst STEP community.
  9. Which mod manager are you using? Did you follow STEP to the letter? Quite a few mods have VERY specific installation instructions. Uninstall one mod at a time in reversed order and keep testing. At some point you will find your culprit. I suspect Trees HD, as this mod has specific installation instructions.
  10. Thanks for your reply, Krypto. I've noticed similar changes to vampire specific records on other mods that had no reason to modify tint layers so I guess it must be a common problem with CK Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk
  11. Safety Load is the cause of CTD's when opening menus - that was the reason I asked :) So unless you're experiencing game freezes and ILS's (see here for more info) I wouldn't install it. Read the mod's description carefully.
  12. You use quite a few mods that are not in STEP. The texture, weather and RLO mods should be fine, all the other ones are most likely culprits. First of - SkyRe is a very conflicting overhaul, especially if you use all the modules. I would start off with a smaller modlist (you can include SkyRe if you want) and got rid of the following: Midas Magic Spells for Skyirim FIXED Training Dummies and Targets V 3DNPC - Inetersting NPCs Bandolier - Bags and pouches Sprint and Jump with Boost Amazing Follower tweaks Start up Skyrim, and from main menu type "coc bleakfallsbarrow01" in console. This will make a default character and place you inside Bleak Falls Barrow. Make a test run and report back. Oh, do you use Safety Load?
  13. Did you install any additional mods not included in STEP? What is your load order? Did you run FNIS? Did you do any ini tweaks tha are not part of STEP? What are your sytem specs? And last but not least: did you read THIS THREAD?
  14. I moved the thread to a more appropriate forum. Mods forum is for specific mod suggestions. This sounds like a Realism Pack discussion thread :) If it evolves in this way, we can move it to Packs forums. For now let it sit here. I must say I am a fan of moderate realism. Whilst I enjoy a more realistic game experience, I do not want the FUN to be spoiled by too many tedious mods. I used to use ones where your movement speed depends on the weight you carry, but stuff like that only gets annoying after a while.
  15. This has not even been considered for testing yet. As the author only provides 2K and 4K textures at this moment, I doubt we would include it in STEP.
  16. Glad you got it working. Marking as solved.
  17. Hahaha, great minds think alike. I'll lock this thread, so we only have one discussion about this mod, and since you've already tested it, you'll have better knowledge of it.
  18. https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/48227 Fresh upload. Yet another distant terrain mod. Only 2K and 4K textures at the moment, which is an obvious overkill. I asked the author in comments if he could provide 1K version.
  19. No problem :)
  20. This is a manual and sometimes tedious process, especially with mods that alter a lot of in-game cells, like ELFX and SoS. For an example of how to do it, see notes for the first mod in Animations & Effects section of STEP 2.2.7. In a nutshell, the process is to open conflicting mods in TES5EDIT, establish which entries create conflict and merge the conflicting entries into a new ESP plugin (the patch), so that entries from both mods are present in the last plugin to be loaded (the patch) and therefore both are in effect in-game.
  21. Kryptopyr, can I ask what are the Tint Layer changes for all the NPC's in Clothing And Clutter Fixes please? I know the mod was separated from WAF, but since it used to be part of it, I'll ask here... Thanks.
  22. Coincidentally, Steam Autumn Sale has started just few minutes ago and Skyrim: LE is on sale... :D
  23. Couldn't agree more... It's been a long time!
  24. LAL was updated recently a few times, so Arthmoor might have fixed that in one of the new versions.
