  1. The problem with New Content on IPB is that if you close the forums without checking some messages and then come back, the messages won't be displayed on the new content list even though they've not been marked as read :|

Thanks for the feedback on that, I'll start looking at what can be done to improve Morthal tomorrow. :) I'm afraid I can't do much to fix that, my photoshop skills are rusty to say the least :p Well, some of the villages from ETaC do fit perfectly though, Riverwood being a prime example of that. Yeah, you should use the normal version indeed.Concerning the merging, not everything's going to be merged, just the mods that don't interfere much, like Skyrim Sewers (since some of the sewer grates are already in the vanilla game and can simply be ignored anyway)Stuff like Daggercross Alley or Apple Garden for example won't be merged in the main file.

  4. Good news guys, we've actually got permissions from a couple of modders who currently have their mods featured in the guide to actually merge their mods in the main file. Which means that the next update (no ETA) will have even less esp files. :dance:Huge thanks to MannyGT and Viltuska for agreeing to this :) On a totally unrelated note: Concerning Expanded Towns and Cities, which buildings would you guys consider out of place at the moment? We could get rid of them as well as fix some issues with a replacer esp. Yeah, but his mods have been abandoned, and he requests asking for permission before allowing people to fix his mods, which means they're stuck in an eternal state of being this huge source of incompatibility/ctd fest.For example, The Cyrodiil Frontier one is unplayable with Helgen Reborn, and the South Dragon Bridge can make TC crash whenever you pass the bridge. And to use only part 1 and 3 of the mods would be kind of weird, considering their story is linked.
  5. Well it's not like the brawl bugs patch isn't included twice in your basic STEP install :p Also, I'm almost tempted to install this mod just to put a Final Fantasy fanfare at the end of each fight.

  7. Not sure what you mean exactly by that, I just opened this list ( https://wiki.step-project.com/Category:Mods ) and started updating all the entries starting from the last page.
  8. Well you can click on the X icon of that section to be rid of it and expand the main section (the forum remembers whether or not you have hidden the sidebar iirc) Also, That's weird. It used to be a default feature on IPB 2.x...
  9. There's already a module for Recent Topics on the bar on the right when you're at the forum index, adding another one for Recent Posts would be useful tho. I haven't administrated an IPB forum in years, but I'm pretty sure it's still just a simple option to check.

  19. The method that was linked used the MO overwrite folder, but the one you described would work just as well.
  20. Getting Skyre to work would require writing a separate guide just for it because of how much stuff that changes (well, depending on the Skyre modules you use anyway) SPERG however is simple to use, just let BOSS sort it, seeing as how it doesn't really conflict with much and relies heavily on an esm that's loaded early anyway. Just make sure to grab the SPERG unofficial patches. PerMa hasn't been released yet so you'd better ask an oracle about whether or not it'll conflict.

Thanks, will check that out and see how we could integrate it, although I'd have to contact the author and work with him if it really is missing navmeshes and follower support before even considering adding it to the mod list. Yeah, the move to IPB broke all the forum links, and I'm unable to find what thread that was on... Will probably have to make a guide. Nearox pls gibe guide. Huh? What is this Whiterun Outskirts Market you're talking about? :P Good catch, it wasn't really causing any problems since the esp has to be disabled, but one less download is always better.

  23. Creation Kit is needed for almost everything. So is TES5Edit. NifTools used alone is useful for changing an existing model's texture. Blender (or GMax, which I don't recommend btw) + NifTools + Photoshop (or The Gimp) are used to create new models and textures. Some tutorials can be found on the creation kit site, Bethesda's YT channel, or BestinSlot's YT channel. You can find more tutorials by using google.
