  1. I was unable to check for conflicts with the latest STEP version to be honest (no gaming rig available since summer started). What I'd suggest is installing MFG Console and using the ingame console to see which mods are causing this behavior. (MFG console indicates which mod esp/esm adds the item you've clicked on with the console on)
  2. Errr, REGS does include both Darkwater Crossing and Kynesgrove from ETaC. They're part of the complete installation of the mod after all.
  3. Even if it's not possible, there'll certainly be an app to fix it, like classic start and start+ did to windows 8. EDIT: Anyway from what I've seen it's totally possible to remove the metro widgets.
  4. Even if it's loaded early, it still can cause problems, for instance it will cause texture mismatches and height inconsistences in the cell border if a quest/player home/location mod affects the terrain in one of the areas modified by this mod.
  5. Please disregard everything concerning BOSS, it's a remnant of the old guide. You're supposed to use LOOT only these days. I'll get around to fixing the guide right now, sorry.
  6. That's what I get for using the view new content button, I thought this was about STEP
  7. https://wiki.step-project.com/Changelog/2.2.9.1
  8. I've had my fill of Paris, I'm looking to get settled in the region of Bretagne or Normandy The reason why I went for JK's skyrim is simply because I prefer how it looks over DoS, I might apply your suggestion however, when I've got the time (and when I figure out how to format the guide nicely to display a choice like that :P)
  9. There's been a possible leak one year ago that already mentioned the voiced protagonist thing as well as a male only option. Here's the reddit thread for those who are interested. Of course nothing proves that this is true, there's just the info about the trailer being published this month that's correct so far.
  10. Actually, I've signed up for uni in France, so I'll be hopefully traveling there, which means no more possibility of updates to the guide as I won't be able to haul my gaming rig over there easily
  11. I suppose you're right, done. I'm afraid that would require getting permissions first, and I'm not in a situation to do any more CK work as I don't have access to my gaming rig anymore for a long time.
  12. Yeah, don't grab the SDO patch if you're not using SDO. Both are there for people using STEP Core, or people who are not using STEP at all.
  13. Wyrmstooth and Falskaar are compatible with STEP out of the box, dunno about Vilja though, I don't recall seeing any patches for it. EDIT: I forgot to mention that you might want to use the Falskaar and Wyrmstooth patches for Realistic Water Two and SkyFalls if you want the effect of those two mods to extend to the new territories though.
  14. It's done in the Creation Kit, by using the landscape tool to change the texture assigned to terrain (by painting it with said tool) What it changes is the Landscape record of each cell.
  15. There's not much point in playing Dragon Age Origins before Inquistion if you ask me... Knowing what the chantry is as well as the fade could be useful though, especially if you're planning on playing a mage. As for Dragon Age 2, it's a crappy game so I didn't bother with it, and I didn't feel like I was missing out on much in Inquisition.
  16. The guide is technically not using the city part of Winterhold Expanded. It's using ETaC's version instead, which is already compatible with 3DNPC out of the box. So I'd imagine the patch is not needed, but I'm unable to test it atm.
  17. I can already tell you it's not compatible with Immersive College of Winterhold, that's for sure.
  18. It won't be corrupted or anything, it's just that if you play wyrmstooth without the patch, it won't be leveled and might end up being too hard (or too easy)
  19. If you use the ORIGIN25 coupon on Origin, you can get Dragon Age Inquisition for 25$ and Battlefield 4 Premium Edition for less than 20$. Not that cheap, but noteworthy imo.
  20. The next update of Frostfall is actually scheduled for Q3 2015 though. On a side note, whatever happened to your plans to improve the lunar forge and weapons?
  21. I'd recommend TESAlliance as well. Their community is very friendly and open minded, plus they're always trying to help modders and have a shitton of resources/tutorials available for free for modders.
  22. Well the petition has literally not been posted anywhere, so people are unlikely to hear about it... It seems SkyUI 5 will also be coming to the nexus, for those who are interested. schlangster said the update was already done either way and that he wasn't a sore loser so he'd upload it soon.
  23. Laptops aren't exactly suited to heavy modding, still, you should be able to run STEP extended if you go for the lower quality versions of the mods whenever possible. (Look for the LQ flag on the guide to know which mods have a lower res version) Two mods in particular come to mind: - Static Mesh Improvement Mod (SMIM) where you should disregard the options in the guide and instead avoid all the heavy hitting stuff such as the detailed ropes/fences/chains, as well as use the half size textures. - Footprints, which you should try disabling in case your CPU can't handle it.
  24. I'm afraid the old patch was only for the standalone versions of the Dawn of Skyrim mods, not with the all-in-one version. So you'll have to either use the standalone versions of DoS, or to change the master name in wrye bash (but that's not guaranteed to work) I'd recommend using the standalone versions anyway, so you can pick your favorite option for each city. Also, the DoS mods cause similar FPS drops anyway.
