...balls. I've only just figured the free version of Mediafire doesn't let you direct link images in their original sizes. Normal links with all those interface icons still work, though. I guess that makes the site useless for most potential users. $5 a month for that is a bit too much. And I thought I found the hosting I was looking for. F...

New wave of Nexus Endorsements
Octopuss replied to DanielCoffey's topic in General Skyrim LE Discussion & Support
What, the fake accounts? I don't even... Really? It's worth less than 10 (I can't imagine how you'd realistically manage to have more than that and not get lost) lousy endoresments to risk their main accounts? Jesus. -
Oh, ok. I get it. I've also downloaded BDS and while the place in the above screenshot still looks like mess (those lines, I don't even...), it looks significantly better with BDS. I think I will try BDS for a few days instead :)

I am sorry, I am stupid, but I still don't understand what are you saying :( This mod just redirects the game to use different mesh present ingame. What does Brumbek have to do with this mod? I am also not using BDS at all.
-
So what are you saying then? Don't use this mod? What did Brumbek do? Either way, what I've seen so far looks good. Some things don't look so good, though :( before after

I've installed the mod again (the first time I tried it gave me weird results, probably a problem with other files on my side), and like it. I actually like it a lot. I think I'll keep using it for a while. The only downside is that it doesn't work too well with NSutR. Not that they are incompatible, but NSutR (surprise) uses its own meshes, and basically makes the effect of this mod invisible save for a few very minor spots here and there.

Hardware (new Mobo/CPU) - need suggestions/help

lol can I have a picture of the fan? I have never heard of non-industrial fan of such size :D P.S. If there is no cat thread here, go ahead and start one. Apparently there are at least a few people who have one (or five, like me) around! -

dafuq? That's technically impossible :D I am serious. My CPU is delidded, the contact is perfect, and like I said, the heatpipes are directly touching the CPU. It's not even too hot right now, and the CPU is idling at roughly 37°C. That's with rather expensive (ok that's not a measure of quality) and really well performing Noctua fan instead of the default that came with the cooler. Just out of curiosity, could you download HWiNFO and tell me what kind of temperature does it show you? (just download the portable version, and select "sensors only") -

I've seen enough Intel stock coolers in my life not to want one in my PC, ever. I'd rather piss on the CPU to cool it, lol. Of course it will work! But it's noisy as hell, and hot as well. That <40°C, that's when idle, right? That's pretty normal for any cooler :P What CPU do you have? Newest stock cooler I tried came with my i7 3770K and it was just yuck. -

Hmmm. Try CoolerMaster Hyper 212 EVO. It has unbeatable bang for the buck ratio. Later on you might spend a bit extra if you feel like the fan is lacking a little (be it loudness or performance), but it will cool unclocked CPU perfectly fine. Those heatpipes sitting directly on the CPU do wonders to heat transfer. -
Did Bethesda ever release any meaningful documentation for the inis? I guess not. Would be pretty helpful.

People often download and endorse the weirdest stuff... :P You can achieve the same thing by editing skyrim.ini, btw.

No need for conspiration theories, it's just useless nonsense mod. The archive contains empty textures.bsa. That's all. Just another case of waste of Nexus server storage.

I'd take it with grain of salt. I used memory rated faster than what the CPU allegedly supported on numerous occasions and it always worked. Of course, AMD might be a lot more pickier than Intel... I can't tell. Haven't touched AMD stuff (except for graphic cards) since 2003 :P -

If you want to go really quiet, buy a Kraken! :) In fact... see how much it cost in the U.K., these things are seriously awesome. -
When I tried to test this some weeks ago, it was happening even if SSR was the only active mod, so...

Honestly, everything runs hot as hell with stock cooler :P -
For me it was caused by Stealth Skills Rebalanced. Temporarily disabling the mod during character creation fixed it.

But... it was instant jellyfish!

Oh, speaking of soundcards, the integrated chips on modern boards are quite nice (most people say) indeed, and unless you have dog ears, you won't tell a difference from discrete cards anyway. It's usually much better to invest in good speakers.
