  1. So. Tried this out. I'm finding the DOF (I think it is anyways from playing with one of the DOF settings) is making everything really blurry. https://s451.photobucket.com/user/animer/library/Vividian%20Blur
  2. Just out of curiosity anyone know what setting affect Whiterun the most FPS wise?
  3. I think it's the earth option for Enhanced Distant Terrain 1 that's the culprit. How far out are you rendering grass?
  4. This is SkyTEST Link The others you linked are compatibility patches.
  5. I did test it out and it is an error with Neovalen's instructions as they do not specify to not optimize the skin textures in HRDLC3. Extract your HRDLC3 and copy over the folder below on top of the ones you've optimized and you should be good. Honestly surprised it took me this long to figure it out. Burning too much midnight oil I guess; been about the only time I've had here between hardware failures and preparing to go back to classes (thankfully it's only two this time so I shouldn't have to spend as much time on class work this semester). textures/actors/character
  6. Get us the model number of your computer and how much VRAM it has (on the video card) I imagine it's 2GB. You are running the SKSE.ini edits and the ENBoost (at least if not an ENB) as per the guide I assume?
  7. It seems to be all females. That was just some random preset I picked out in character creation. I also noticed it on the female captain during the Helgen Intro. I'm currently looking at which files it could be and then trying to copy the originals back over to see if they got optimized for some reason.
  8. No, what it means is that they are large texture packs that overwrite a lot of other textures especially from the vanilla game but they also have overwrite between other mods in that particular section. You install all of them for STEP: Extended and only the ones with Green next to their names for STEP: Core
  9. Bump. Tech, Kelmych have you any more thoughts on this? This is using the latest .ini file.
  10. I'm not having any problems downloading manually. I'm using 64-bit Firefox too so I would expect to have more problems not less than others.
  11. You should be fine. So long as you rerun FNIS, Dual Sheath Redux (if you use it) and remake your bashed patch. You'll also want to use the search feature to find the .tri files race menu generates; if you can find those you should be able to locate the others you moved to the wrong folder in the same place (one would hope).
  12. The link in your guide is broken btw Kelmych (I was just checking to make sure it was easy to find) for some reason it doesn't like to link from the STEP wiki I guess if you google the link it works but just thought I'd mention it.
  13. I wouldn't be adverse to it. Though a lot of the stuff would still probably be talked about in the packs pages. It would be nice if authors shared more of their tricks and such and helped update the merge guides and such.
  14. You know there's something similar to this (though the other user doesn't have Better Males installed) in this thread. Tech maybe you could look at it and figure out what textures are causing the problem it seems to be with the optimized vanilla assest (at least in the other thread). Link
  15. Hey Gopher. Nice to see you around. Hope this kind of thing doesn't discourage you, honestly I like your style (most of the time) we'd like to see you around here more I think it'd help us out a lot idea wise. Edit: weird I know I hit post like 3 hours ago lol just now finished.
  16. I haven't investigated it very thoroughly yet my eyes are bugging out on me. It's possible I forgot something. The image system bugging out on anyone else?
  17. Interesting... I'm not noticing it on the guys but on the women I see what you're talking about. I'm assuming this is because I don't have a female texture replacer installed.
  18. Firstly are you sure you're using the latest version? There was a bugfix yesterday. Also have you tried just downloading it with the browser and then saying install archive in Mod Organizer and then pointing it at the file? After you get it installed you can manually right click the mod say information, move to the Nexus tab and input the Nexus ID (if the archive doesn't make MO input it for you) and then input the version number
  19. By "dark arms" I assume you mean they're purple or such? Also have you double checked that you updated your ddsopt .ini file as per DDSOpt guide? Neovalen links to the DDSOpt guide which has the .ini file.
  20. All of the staff feels your pain mate. Honestly about all you can do is make the recommendations and if people choose not to listen well, at least you tried.
  21. ENBoost does not have the performance hit. It is merely a portion of the full ENB package that allows you to get more out of your 64-Bit system. It helps get rid of some mirroring that the game engine does with textures and such. That's likely why you haven't had issues so far with it installed.
  22. I good way to test if your GPU is actually dying is Valley Benchmark or Firestrike Benchmark if they crash or freeze your system up then more than likely it is GPU related.
  23. Well... I picked the motherboards and power supplies I did out for a reason. First off they are the two most critical components in the entire PC. If your power supply isn't of sufficient quality then it could take your PC out causing a lot of headaches. The ones I picked out were also gold or platinum efficiency rating so they won't waste as much power. The motherboard is next on the list. The one you picked out is not a good board if you have a K series processor. In order to make proper use of a K series processor you need either a P97 or Z97 motherboard I recommend Z97. I don't trust any of the boards that are under $100, however almost anything in the $150-220 range are in general the best range of quality and features. If you're dead set about only getting 8GB of RAM... fine. Here is a build that has the better parts (the graphics card being debatable depending on which company you like), I threw in the SSD and two options of HDD. I recommend the Toshiba 3TB HDD since it's triple the size of storage as the one you picked out (plus it's faster and better in every way) for twice the cost it's pretty much the most cost efficient drive out there right now. 24. I went over to the mod page and asked osmodius if he would do aMidianborn Farmhouse and/or Real Wood textures parallax maps (if he was able to).
  25. Then you should have asked for further clarification. In believe you add in the bit DoubleYou is talking about here...
