Do the priests work? I thought priests/priestesses and altars no longer did anything (haven't updated iNeed yet) -
Pre PaMa CCF Patch bashed patch issue
phazer11 replied to hardtroll's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Interesting. I do not recall merging traps make noise into my bashed patch. So far from what I've seen so far it's safe to merge the records from the pre PaMa patches into the bashed patch (I'm still testing to be sure which is why it's taking a while to get the bashed patch and SkyProccer sections done) -
Most definitely a bad idea. The power supply alone should be at least the much (or close to it) since it's not that means the psu is probably a junk psu which is one of the reasons I hate prebuilt machines since they hardly ever tell you what parts your getting for each piece, other than the cpu gpu, and a few others (sometimes).

PerMa Compatibility and PaMa Patches (PCaPP) needed or not ?
phazer11 replied to hardtroll's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Yes you should use the compatibility patches. I'll eventually add a sections for a STEP Extended install to my PerMa pack. Go through the FOMOD of the patches and select the mods you have. The patches fix things the patcher usually misses and such, add mods to the blocklist so PerMa doesn't add their records etc. You can look at my pack in my signature to give you a rough idea of what to do. -
These are the cheapest parts I can recommend for you to get. I advise you to not spend less than $120 on a motherboard and I really advise you to spend more time looking through that power supply in one of my posts above so you can find a good PSU as well as a good cooler like the Hyper 212 Evo. That;s all I can advise you on. I just think you should wait to upgrade if you only have $800 do it right or don't do it at all IMO https://pcpartpicker.com/user/phazer11/saved/tBhdnQ

Any specific reason Amazon? Not all of these are Prime if that's why. Try setting all of the parts to Newegg. The 960 came out this week I believe so... 1. It's super new 2. Low VRAM 2GB as opposed to 4GB 3. Lower memory bandwidth Can you by any chance get Windows from Microsoft with a student discount? If Nothing else you can buy it from Microsoft so you can download it burn your own disc and then not have to pay shipping.
-
Skimping on the motherboard is a bad idea. The problem with the 960 is that there is not a 4GB variant available yet and it does not have as high of a memory bandwidth. That's the reason I selected the 290 since they've been lowered in price since the GTX 970 is stomping AMD's bottom line. The PSU you picked may be cheaper but there's a reason. It has issues. You should look through that list I posted earlier and try and find a PSU on that list in an acceptable price and wattage ratio for you. As for motherboards, pretty much anything below $120 is not worth considering IMO if they're less than that they probably used inferior parts. The RAM you picked is actually more expensive than what I picked out. I noticed you picked Directron for most of those parts... is there a reason like local pickup? Because they certainly aren't the least expensive.

problem with Animated Dwemer Lift Load Doors dl
phazer11 replied to danielleonyett's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports (retired)
IIRC I think you unzip the one he gives you and then click install archive for both the ones that come out of the archive. -
The problem I'm having is getting you good parts in that budget. Parts I'd be comfortable with add up to more than $1k. You need a good PSU so that bumped the cost up a little. You wanted Intel so I got you a overclockable version plus the motherboard I myself use. I would personally just get a 970 but that's another $100 so... The case is a little more but it's bigger to give you more room as well as making install and cable management easier. I could probably help more but I've spent a couple hour already and am starting to feel unwell again. https://www.overclock.net/t/183810/faq-recommended-power-supplies Hope this gives you an idea. https://pcpartpicker.com/user/phazer11/saved/7vqV3C

SKYRIMLE SkyUI by SkyUI Team: Compatibility patch for MO?
phazer11 replied to HunterBravo1's question in Mod Organizer Support
It does work with MO. You followed the directions to the letter for installing SKSE? So long as you install the SKSE folders in MO and the skse binaries in the Skyrim folder. https://wiki.step-project.com/Skyrim_Script_Extender Man looks like it lost some of my post after I moved the thread. -
pack Perkus Maximus (PerMa - PaMa) Pack
phazer11 replied to phazer11's topic in Step Skyrim LE Packs (retired)
Oh huh... yeah forgot about ASIS. I don't use it. I'll add a note when I'm feeling better. Just got out of bed to get something to eat figured I'd check the forums, before going back to sleep. I'll also make note of Spectraverse (which really shouldn't be used with PerMa anyways IMO) I've heard reports of incompatibility and it says " Warning:The mods listed in this section will affect some of the game's mechanics and might not always be compatible with some of the popular overhauls." in the REGS guide. -

Skyrim Using 50%+ of CPU With STEP Core + One Tweak
phazer11 replied to Lohengramm's question in General Skyrim LE Support
I don't know about STEP Core, haven't loaded that profile up in a bit. However, in my custom profile SR:LE + REGS + PerMa and some other goodies + Vividian I get about 35-50% on my i7 though granted Skyrim Performance Monitor might be picking up other processes. -
Dual Sheath Redux has missing masters -Skyrim.esm -Update.esm
phazer11 replied to Blayde98's question in Mod Organizer Support
Check your right pane and make sure Skyrim.esm and Update.esm are checked. If they are go into your overwrite folder (or wherever you keep it) and delete your Dual Sheath Redux.esp -
STEP Extended (graphics and sound only) + SkyRe?
phazer11 replied to Kayzorkross's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Yes. -
Screenshots are nice. Definitely worth taking a look in game. You forgot the Nexus link. I assume it's this one? https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/61995/?
-
The way I have mine setup is listed in my PerMa pack linked in my signature all of the mods are setup in the left pane with my pack being after all the SR:LE + REGS mods.
-
Not muh. The only thing that might help some is making sure your vsync settings are setup as stated in the announcement subforum. Link

Volume of DSAMG in headphones is very high. [Closed]
phazer11 replied to DanielCoffey's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports (retired)
Can't say I do... Of course I play skyrim through my surround sound. I'd have to check. Which one of the female files are you using? There are two or three I think. -
Well... 4GB will let you use more textures and such as well as get more out of ENBoost. If you have enough money the single card performance of a new card ought to let you outpace even a crossfire 270 I think if you go for something like a GTX 980. Dual 270's will perform better than a single 290 or GTX 970 from what I've read but the downside is not having the extra VRAM.
-
The reason it saves fine when run outside of MO is it doesn't have mods loaded. You've tried this I assume? Link If so could you post your enblocal.ini and skse.ini in spoilers please
text
pack A Real Explorer's Guide to Skyrim
phazer11 replied to CJ2311's topic in Step Skyrim LE Packs (retired)
There are ETaC, Frostfall and JK's Skyrim patches for Real Shelter the ETaC patches are a version or so behind but they're better than nothing.
