  1. You know what I hate? Making a small little mistake in xEdit and then having to start from scratch because I don't know how to undo it. I've looked around but can't immediately see one. There has to be such a function but for the life of me, I'm not sure where it is. Can someone help me?
  2. @Gernash So like 1.9....ish
  3. Just checking in to see how things are going as I've been away working on replacing my car (in fact, gonna be another week before I can get back into the swing of things here). With that out of the way, I notice that there's been a lot done since I was last here. Which got me to wondering how far the wiki is being upgraded to version 2.0? I notice on the updates you reference this so I'm just curious.
  4. I'm curious what the status of this after B&W's release?
  5. More options mostly. Though I'll say as someone who has and will work on a lot of settlements, I'd rather have the means to build exactly what I want than a bunch of options that I probably won't use. The OCD one interests me more than Homemaker because it makes the settlement feel "real". Like a normal home with all the clutter around on tables and shelves just feels natural. Not that I don't like Homemaker mind you, and as you say it is very popular.
  6. @Gernash Me and @BoSoxBry were referencing the two core mods for the settlement setup you were working on.
  7. I don't know what @Gernash has but the two core ones I'd have are a scrapping mod and place everywhere. To me, the stuff in the base game isn't horrible and I can work with it but the fact that I can't put my walls up without gaping holes or have to deal with a dirty settlement, is something I can't handle. Everything else is negotiable. (Note: these two most certainly won't be what @Gernash will consider core, but just stating what it would be for me).
  8. So no concerns with conflicts about it being in a different area? It's just that when you talk about items relate each other I was wondering if texture mods would be lumped together. As long as they don't I suppose it doesn't really matter where they are. As to the Settlement mods, what about that setup that GSD had?
  9. I actually agree with that sentiment. I think with the Minutemen Overhaul he does too much in the outfit department. I suppose if you wanted that you could just put it below Minutemen Overhaul. I've seen several people state they do use both but I haven't personally.
  10. I'm going with Minutemen Overhaul just because I see more compatibility patches for it. Granted that might be due to the fact that it conflicts with so many mods, but since they both do much the same I can't imagine We are the Minutemen not having the same issue. I know Sharlikan has been using it too and I trust his word when he says he doesn't have an issue with it. It's also been updated the most recently. With that said, We are the Minutemen seems a simpler mod and there's something to be said for that sort of thing.
  11. How come the texture mods like Fallout Texture Overhaul PipBoy (Pip-Boy) UHD 4K or Enhanced Blood Textures or Eyes of Beauty are not in the Misc Textures section?
  12. @remlnx You say the game is hanging on start up after your hit the new game option? For whatever reason, didn't want to show me anyone responded. But yeah, what @Gernash said.
  13. Though I'm not really the person to cause drama as it does no one good, I assure you that if I was going to complain somewhere, I wouldn't be referencing you.
  14. Do you know what was the cause of the crash? I ask because there's no mention on the page of people complaining about it causing a crash.
  15. That's why I check the posts or bug reports. If there are red flags then I move on. That and it's not like the mod was just uploaded. It has nearly 2500 endorsements so I think it's safe to say it's okay in general. Now there may be unknown conflicts but that's the whole point of wiki is to deal with them. Side note: the infinite settlement budget mod you said was causing the CT, what was it? Was it this one?
  16. Ah! That works too, yeah I didn't know if you wanted it to be a separate selection or included as additional instructions so I thought I'd make a post here to make you aware of it.
  17. I found a patch for "Lowered Weapons" that covers the DLC weapons and put it as additional instructions.
  18. With DEF_UI you have three choices when it comes to customizing your user interface: 1) Using those executable programs edit it your own to your liking 2) Use a preset that was made by someone (like this one: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/9441/? ) 3) Or just use it as is works too. I was asking which one you use/recommend.
  19. @Gernash Do you use custom settings or a preset? Or just vanilla?
  20. So with DEF_UI, what are we suppose to use those .exe files for? I don't see reference on what to do with them.
  21. Oh man! I saw the date on the first post and thought there were 26 pages worth generated just today and I was like... how? why? Love the tool by the way. So happy 1 year anniversary (having the page up on here I mean).
  22. Tell me something, what level of experience do you have with modding? Have you modded Skyrim or another game before? The reason I ask is because when dealing with a guide as extensive as STEP for beginners it can definitely be overwhelming. You might want to start by watching one of the many video series about modding Skyrim. I find that Gopher's videos are the most beginner friendly so you can start here: https://www.gophersvids.com/?gopher_storyboard=mod-organizer While it was made in 2014, the lart majority of the content is still very relevant as it walks you through how to go about modding and using the various tools. Once you are comfortable, you can then come back to STEP with a firmer footing of what people are talking about when they reference different things.
  23. Ah! Cool! Thanks for that. I'm not used to work with the wiki myself, just helping a friend update the wiki as I move through and installing. I must say that as I've never used the wiki template, I was baffled where that 5 was coming from.
