  1. The regs step patch is mostly for boyd - etac so it depends on whether you use those mods, though there are also a few other conflict fixes in it... Check for masters and see if theyre in your mod lidt.
  2. @DYEMB: In that specific case, no indeed you don't need the REGS files. You will however be missing uskp forwards and other small fixes for other mods which you will have to patch in tes5edit yourself to make it work. Small announcement: CJ is doing fantastic work in the CK at the moment regarding cleaning up ETaC. The content added by ETaC is going to look more like vanilla and more consistent on a per village/town basis overall. You can also expect performance improvements in places like Dawnstar, Falkreath and Morthal due to some ETaC stuff being removed there.
  3. Aye it does, and it also interferes with other mods in the list. Riverwood is great, my 2 etac favorites are darkwater crossing and kynesgrove.
  4. If there is a possibility to switch to 24hour time format, I'd welcome that as well.
  5. I storngly agree that Recent Posts is much more practical than a recent topics section.
  6. Each pack should have their own instructions. Every finished pack must be compatible with STEP:Core (keep in mind not all packs are finished). You can usually assume that you can add the pack at the end of the install order (the left pane) in MO. However some packs, such as Weather and Lighting, have instructions to add mods inbetween the categories used by STEP. It all depends on whether the mod overwrites any textures/meshes or even scripts and whether you would like that mod to be the conflict winner or not. Sometimes a mod must win a oncflict otherwise you can run into issues. The way STEP mods are organized is 1) for maximum compatibility and optimal overwriting 2) for convenience. Enable any new mod you might have and check in Mo if it overwrtiers anything. If it doesn't, then install order doesn't matter.
  7. I didn't yet, because AMD's version of Temporal AA, "morphological AA", is generally terrible. I did try forcing transparency AA via drivers, which gave some improvement but it didn't solve the shimmering issue when moving. After a while I can live with the shimmering that is observable in most games, so I guess I'll get used to this one as well. Then again I play at 1680x1050 so there's generally more aliasing there anyways. I'm sure with your cards you can easily force 4x SSAA and get rid of everything. ESO is surprisingly lightweight on GPUs (or well on my GPU at least). Putting everything at Ultra, I get more FPS with ESO than I used to with WoW at Ultra...
  8. Realvision has a great performance option which keeps my game with SRLE and a HD6950 stable above 34fps in virtually all areas (except the Rift). Option B (for ELFX) works best with SRLE.
  9. Yeah, the only thing that bothered me was the shimmering of the foilage... The architecture suffers little aliasing but the grass and trees... I hope they do something about that, or have transparency and/or temporal AA support in the future.
  10. I just fixed the links for the Steam Installation Guide :)
  11. Been playing for the last hour. After all the opinions I read before on sites like metacritic... My first impression is that I am suprsisingly impressed by ESO. Graphics seem decent for an MMO. Don't forget to turn on Ambien Occlusion in the options (default is off) otherwise it'll look much worse!
  12. I was editing the wiki of REGS and I pressed some key combination which opened a source code window. I must've hit a key or something afterwards because now a messages pops up when loading the edit page tool saying: Warning: This page contains curly or square brackets that are not closed, so the page will not be handled correctly by the form. Please fix the error in the source text before proceeding. Can someone have a look and fix it or show me how to fix it? I hope I didn't break anything!
  13. REGS is currently being updated. Please don't use it for the moment being, the patch pack link doesn't match the new mod contents of REGS so it will cause issues!
  14. I guess a good example would be how Soltitude looks with REGS installed. The buldings added (the cobbler, baker etc) looks like they could've been a part of Soltitude in the original game. Same bulding materials, and design is especially important. I guess what I mean to say is that missjennabee has done a great job with her added buildings and npcs and everything, but small details (like the new brews in Falkreath) that doesn't fit with the feel of the game just bugs me too much. Anyways, I'll be waiting for the update. :-) Yes I partially agree with you there. I too wish that missjennabee would release a version where some buildings are more identicial to vanilla. Do keep in mind that some of her buildings are very similar to vanilla (such as the ones you can find in Morthal or Dragon Bridge). On the other hand, vanilla village buildings all basically use the same textures and form... Something which would be rather strange for a territory and diversity as large as Skyrim but that's just imo. One way to somewhat circumvent this is to use the mod Better Town Textures although I am not sure if it still works with recent versions of ETaC. Taken as a whole, ETaC adds just too much good and simply gorgeous environments to the Skyrim world for it not to be included because a few buildings don't match the vanilla style.
  15. Looking forward to this! Thanks again for the key you sent me a while ago Fcqt!
  16. The guide will need to see quite a few changes as well for which I don't have the time this afternoon. Somewhere in the evening (CET) it will be finished... I'd indeed wait until the wiki reflects all of the (huge) changes in the new version.
  17. 1. What is not clear about it? The instructions are under the heading "BOSS Userlist Sorting"  at the end of the guide and they tell you how to configure the load order with BUM. If you could point out where your problem is then I can help. 2. If you don't use STEP extended, then you don't need to use the REGS STEP Patch. You must use the other REGS patches that came with the FOMOD installer otherwise you will 1) miss mods and 2) have high chance for CTDs/bugs/weird NPC behaviour.
  18. Stop contradicting me and go work on the bath house! :D
  19. Thx keith! I think all the explanations you have done over time regarding the working of both ENBoost and Mempatch deserve to be compiled into a wiki page or something :)
  20. Unfortunately, deleted navmeshes can only be repaired by using the CK. Sometimes in combination with TES5edit (this method is explained by Arthmoor) depending on the kind of fix needed. Just a note: We have tested Oakwood during the development of the initial release. In my own experience, I was crashing continueously in that area and also had the same issues that CJ described earlier. The crashing might be related to the deleted navmeshes (which we didn't fix as we opted for the imho much higher quality mod Aurora Village).Â
  21. So no more support for up to 128GB enbhost file either? :S
  22. What do you mean it doesn't apply to textures? It gives all the info needed about them, as far as I am aware.
  23. @MonoAccipiter Thank you for all the feedback and suggestions. Greatly appreciated. I see CJ already mentioned that WOM is currently being reviewed and will go through further changes in the future so that it is slightly more befitting to that part of whiterun exterior. I'll add a note to nernie's city about not having to downlaod the 1.26 version. With regards to the mods you preferred not to include, usually as long as it doesn't have a master esp then it is safe. However the REGS esps contain many navmesh edits and other fixes on which there is dependency by 1 or more mods. Fixing a navmesh is difficult (if not, impossible) with an additional esp so in some cases you must use a mod (as CJ mentioned with regards to WOM) for which the navmesh got edited, (un)disabled or removed if that particular mod is part of the REGS esps. In almost all cases, you have to use the REGS files because they not only contain fixes for individual REGS mod, but also with vanilla/USKPs and for cross-mod compatibility. Quite a few of the REGS mods were individually broken and they were fixed by CJ and combined in the REGS files to reduces the amount of esps. Smaller mods like Drinking of Fountains, you can safely remove them from your modlist. In the future we'll probably make some more notes about whether a mod is a core component or not but at the moment the focus is on further development and ensuring compatiblity with STEP & SRLE.
  24. Works for anything in the game that you can point at :) mfg console gives a lot of extra info without having to use other console commands and/or tes5edit.
