Nice, I'd like to see that! I haven't played with requiem before mainly because I couldn't be motivated to make it all compatible :)

pack A Real Explorer's Guide to Skyrim
Nearox replied to CJ2311's topic in Step Skyrim LE Packs (retired)
@Ghostwise: I just checked the Riverwood Inn. Everything appears normal in my install. Are you sure there's no other mod intefering? In any case, check the objects in the room (also the bed) with MFG Console as CJ already said, then it's easy to determine what is the cause :) -
pack A Real Explorer's Guide to Skyrim

In the beginning of the pack development we decided to indeed leave out quests and to potentially include them as a 2nd part. I would personally still like to include a few. It appears CJ has already been working on FATT even though he's officialy on a break :P Also don't forget there are already some quest mods in REGS (like Sea of Ghosts) which were easy to make compatible. With regards to FATT, you cannot use it together with ETaC - DB South. I'm not sure what exactly CJ has patched in FATT though. If it were up to me, we'd also include Helgen Reborn eventually. At the moment though the focus is to iron out the last bugs, to sort out some new permissions, to potentially include a new mod for Sky Haven Temple, to further reduce the REGS custom esps, and to really finalize the pack in its current form. Already multiple user testing has proved very useful as we've received quite a few bug reports via PM (all of which have been solved in recent versions except for the Riverwood Inn one reported above). Personally from a stylistic perspective, I think all the areas which required REGS patches are now finished. Really happy with Whiterun, Windhelm and solitude exterior mod combinations in particular. Anyways, when that is all working 100% (we are currently at like 98% I'd say) I am sure we can have a look at FATT, Helgen Reborn and maybe a few others. -

Lol where does that chair and the candle come from :O. Must be RRR enhanced since nothing else changes the inn. Unless the ETaC - Inless version didnt delete that stuff. I'll check it later on when I get back to my gaming PC. In the meantime, in case you didn't know, you can click on the chair, open the console and type 'disable'. Thx for reporting Ghostwise! -
If you haven't figured it out yet, post a screenshot and we can see where it's going wrong.

Yesterday I tried all the Holidays (you can force them ingame via the W&C menu) in Whiterun & Windhelm. Didn't have any problem with the Dawn of series or any other mods we use with regs. Haven't checked Riften but I'm sure that shouldn't be a problem either.

STEP: Core installed! Now: packs & other mods
Nearox replied to macabre's question in General Skyrim LE Support
You sould generally install any pack at the end of the same profile in MO as STEP. Packs are supposed to be isntalled on top of STEP. If a certain pack must be installed somewehere inbetween your other mods it'll usually give that direction. Our pack REGS, for example, you can basically install it anywhere in the install order because it doesn't overwrite anything else. Although for overview's sake I'd install it at the end. Modding can be confusing in the beginning and so congratulations for installing STEP Core :). Anything you install on top of STEP, you should first put it at the end of the install order (not load order, which is determined by BOSS) and see if it overwrites anything using the information given to you by MO. Then you should probably check in TES5edit to see if there are any conflicts, though I judging from your questino that might be too much of a step up for now. Conflict resolution isn't always necessary. I'd stick to STEP and one or two of the more renowened packs for now and just play your game, then you gradually get a bigger understanding over time how things work :) It is also very worthwhile to check out some of the Mod Organizer Guide on the Wiki. -

Wonderful, thx for the good work! -
Always nice to see a USKP dev around here.SilentSpike if you find some free time, would you be willing to have a look at the thread Which record types DON'T need conflict patches? and maybe put in your own knowledge and/or thoughts? Thanks in advance!

Most Performance Intensive ENBseries.ini functions
Nearox replied to Nearox's question in Post-Processing Support
Thank you MangaClub for the explanation (and again for the assistance @ nexus). -
That's really weird because a lot of navmesh fixing was done by CJ2311 to make TC compatible, and both CJ and I have tested TC extensively with REGS...I think you said you only had 1 ILS. If it is reproducable with TC enabled then it is a problem, otherwise perhaps just bad luck.As for TC & BFT, I'll add a ntoe in the guide that using both mods together can potentially cause issues. Compared to Fast Travelling, it's a clear winner :D Using an SSD instead of your HDD might also help alleviate issue #4, so you'd best check that before messing with enboost (which can get ugly fast).

As for point 1) Seeing an increase in loading times is to be expected. There's a lot more information to render for the engine. However on a system like yours it really shouldn't take long. I have an i5 2500k with HD6950 and the loading times are about 10 - 20 sec max. Are you using an SSD? With STEP Extended, with REGS and also espeically with Interestign NPCs (which is 2gb alone) there is probably about 20gb worth of data to load via the virtual directory of MO. My Mods dir with SRLE is 30GB. 2) Since the Memory Patch (which you seem to have in skse.ini are you using skse 1.7 alpha?) I have only heard of very rare occasions sine the me patch about ILS. For most people I think they have generally disappeared. Personally I never had an ILS since the patch, and I'm using SRLE + REGS atm. 3) I never actually used BFT. That's a CJ thing :) I find TC to be much more immersive, especially when you disable fast travel (via e.g. Frostfall). 4) Micro-freezing is qutie often a result of using ENBoost. Your GPU has the horsepower to brute force over most of it so that's why you probably only notice it rearely. On my system? I micro-freeze (for like 0.3 seconds) quite frequently when turning the camera in congested areas. If you're not VRAM capped at your 3gb, you could try to set enablecompression=false and/or put reservedvideomemorysizemb higher than 64 (128,256 or 512). Hope this helps.

pack A Real Explorer's Guide to Skyrim
Nearox replied to CJ2311's topic in Step Skyrim LE Packs (retired)
If you are using the regular version of boss (2) it'll sort those mods automatically in the correct order. Moreover, both mods have overriding fixes from REGS Patch - Cities.esp so in the end it doesn't matter that much I guess. But yeah, whether you use boss 2, like me, or boss 3, like CJ, the end result is the same. -

Yeah you have to use the .esp from the Improved Closeface Helmets folder instead of the .esp that is in the root folder of the archive. -

Nope, ELE-DB Interior Lighting.esp is different from RavenRockExpanded.esp :) Just look at the LMTP and XCIM records. They are the ones that refer to imagespaces which in turn determine how lighting works in that interior. Copy the ELE-DB Interior Lighting column as an override to REGS-SRLE Patch.esp (that's what is meant all the time with "use record from...") and then follow the directions of the 2nd bullet point. -

Most Performance Intensive ENBseries.ini functions
Nearox replied to Nearox's question in Post-Processing Support
Thx Aiyen. Vividian ENB just put the performance version back online about 2 hours ago. Gave it a quick try. It still has almost all the effects but I gained about 8-10fps, so I guess that solves it for me. I also disabled volumetric rays which apprently gives me even 5 more fps... I never thought that'd be a heavy performance function. In any case, I'm going to try to mess with some water settings though its gonna be 100% trial and error since I have no clue what all the settings do :P Do you know if EnableUnderwater=true in theory also affects performance when not underwater? -
DDsopt question involving Skyrim Revisited: Legendary Edition
Nearox replied to FamousDeadGuy's question in DDSopt Support
On my comp (i5 2500k) everything related to compression (zip, rar, video encoding) is a lot faster when using the 64bit version of a program than with the 32bit. I suspect this also be the case for DDSopt, though I've only used the 64bit version of that prog. -
Are you using the Memory Patch?

Most Performance Intensive ENBseries.ini functions
Nearox posted a question in Post-Processing Support
As the title says, what are currently the most performance intensive functions listed in ENBseries.ini? The last few months a lot of extra effects have been added and I've not updated myself with them. Simply disabling DoF or SSAO doesnt seem to have nearly as big as a performance boost as it used to have (I'm using Vividan ENB). Hoping Aiyen or someone else well versed with ENBs (Torminator, rootsrat?) can maybe chime in, if you read this :) ENB 0.251 has the following options [EFFECT] UseOriginalPostProcessing UseOriginalObjectsProcessing EnableBloom EnableLens EnableAdaptation EnableDepthOfField EnableAmbientOcclusion EnableDetailedShadow EnableSunRays EnableSunGlare EnableSkyLighting EnableImageBasedLighting EnableReflection EnableSoftParticles EnableParticleLights EnableSubSurfaceScattering EnableWater EnableUnderwater EnableCloudShadows EnableVolumetricRays EnableProceduralSun EnableMist -
pack A Real Explorer's Guide to Skyrim

if you would take the effort to actually check them in TES5edit, then you will see why they don't need fixing in STEP or SRLE, but do need fixing with REGS involved.
