DROPPED More Dynamic Shadows and Striping Fixed (by puuloo)
blacksol replied to skwareballz's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
What has STEP got to do with this whole argument (and Sydney's accusations), apart from RCRN being a recommended mod in last version of STEP? -
I have the same issue, most noticeable around the plains of whiterun but also around riften when going through the trees. Although I have not optimised my textures so that could be due to mipmaps etc. I experience all 4 types of popping MW listed in exteriors. Ugrids 7 helped but I went back to ugrids 5 a while back. Although I haven't actually played for the past month!

Yes I have them stuck in flight sometimes even if walk up to them. But also other animals sometimes have delayed reactions, as in frozen until I get closer.

Slow fade to black and hang when loading interiors
blacksol replied to Farlo's question in General Skyrim LE Support
f5 is your friend :) or at least a normally reliable safety net -
Tannin may need to add a function to intercept calls for those types of programs, but agree need Tannin to comment

Slow fade to black and hang when loading interiors

Also turn off autosaves - that solved those hang ups for me and removed the drop to 2-3 fps on transition to interiors (still get them occasionally on transition to exteriors) -

Issue With Skyrim Realistic Overhaul
blacksol replied to Business's question in General Skyrim LE Support
iirc Skyrim HD and one other -
imho the wood looks too new. Yes it looks better but i think I prefer the vanilla one from a style perspective

Check this post and the next one on WB thread on Beth forum and see if that helps.

and a more helpful answer... alt+tab out of skyrim once playing and bring up the task manager to see what applications / processes are running.
-
beats me, just put a shortcut on your desktop to skse_loader and use that

I had seen that and it looked interesting. Could it cause conflicts by editing a large range of cells to handplace the items?
-
what is your field of view and ugrids as both impact significantly on vram usage EDIT - oh and AA uses fair bit of vram in my setup (hence using 2x)

You could try Mod Organiser to track mods (which is what i use, and download) as you can manually enter the version number if for example you do not want the latest version. Only workaround is that the mods need to be 'installed' to be tracked - which I do by doing a manual install of one single file.

No fans of Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines?? Played it soon after it came out when it was a buggy mess then again a couiple of years ago once the community had fixed it.

Black Circles, z-fighting and texture shimmering
blacksol replied to torminater's question in General Skyrim LE Support
I thought the quote below came from this forum but perhaps it was another one (couldn't find it when searched for "LOD"), or it was on a webpage about LOD Bias that was linked from a post on here: Anyway I changed negative LOD Bias from -0.250 in nvidia inspector to 0.000 and had the following benefits:- Spinning logo main menu screen no longer had texture shimmer on logo and no longer stuttered when eg choosing which save to load (before it would momentarily freeze when mouse moved from one save game to another) - texture shimmer in game reduced in short testing no more shimmer inside breezehome - but still had texture shimmer (or z fighting?) with snow dusting on mountain rocks near Falkreath, first time there so not sure if better or worse. So I will not use LOD tweak - any others have these type of issues? -
There is also Better Horses mod as an alternative although this one seems to have more. I have not used either one so make no comments on how they play in game
-
The first one reminds of years ago when I was working in a ski resort for 2 seasons. So very nice and realistic - although while the blinding brightness is realistic I am not sure what it would be like in game for a long play session in a dark room, so I take your point.
-
Yes it is a bug and is being (or has already been) fixed by Wyre Bash team per thread on official beth forums

I saw a comment on bethsoft forums that due to this editing the image space that it could conflict with other mods that also edit the imagesapce like Claraux?
-
How about performance hit wise, how do nvidia v enb compare?

You cannot verify integrity of local cache with SU on - I tried this to get the strings file back after uninstalling Better Sorting and couldn't work out why it wouldn't work - see another post on here somewhere - led to uninstalling skyrim and then working out it was SU - I had completely forgotten about it!

If using firefox then use ctrl+pg up or ctrl+pg dn to change tabs - No mouse needed :) To my knowledge no equivalent in IE and I have not used chrome.
