  1. As a new user to WB, python etc (although generally capable on PCs) I found the svn version fine following the instructions in a forum post about a month ago (likely WB thread) and the WB wiki guide. Is it really that much different? I haven't tried standalone but iirc I just downloaded and installed the python version off of the same nexus page rather than standalone (which then installed python), pasted in mopy directory from the SVN and did a couple of other tweaks (eg changing directories in the bash.ini file). Especially given current standalone version is pre-load order changes etc. I presume when next release build is posted, I can update by downloading python version and pasting in Mopy directory. If I updated to normal standalone would I need to do anything to get current install (uninstalled & installed mods, bashed patch, ini tweaks and load order) for it to pick up from current SVN version setup? Also, using WB makes applying ini tweaks much easier as can name them appropriately and then easily turn off if needed or reapply if need to refresh ini files. Should the ini tweak process be added to the guide? TC or the team could then package the ini tweak files as part of STEP
  2. what order are the esp's in? Another thread said BOSS did not sort in the correct order as of yesterday although BOSS may have been updated since then
  3. Just looked on MO nexus thread and doveman has been active there and is using MO for STEP 2-1-x so perhaps he can look into it? If doveman can't then I will ressurrect my MO in one way or another and see if I can help @dAzza - if you post in the MO nexus thread, Tannin42 should respond fairly quickly as he is pretty active. Or perhaps another MO user on the thread can assist.
  4. I have a i7-920 and running Win 7 64bit Professional - I had no issues so may not be a CPU issue
  5. I was! but i have been using WB for past month or so and just using MO to track mods as does it better than NMM as I can install mods without any files and change versions manually. Also, I am still on an older version of MO, ie pre new BOSS version. Last night I deletd all the mod data from my MO mods (and the meta.ini file in each mod with the nexus info so then had to copy that back :( ) so now my MO is literally just a shell with nothing inside! I haven't even looked at the MO forum for a few weeks. So long story short, not me anymore
  6. Can you post what was different to the original cmd file as when I ran it night before last Eiwyn hadn't yet posted his file (although it was mentioned on the nexus page he hadn't uploaded it yet so wasnt downloadable). I would prefer to fix it manually if possible so I dont have to go through optimizing the textures all over again. Thanks
  7. If one follows the steps on the wiki and zips up the optimized textures and installs via Wyre then I understand all vanilla textures are loaded as loose files. If that is right, what is the concern?
  8. Not a comment directed at the sb4n or others, more at the creators of the video/mod!
  9. leather weight isn't too important, most of allinone spell fixes is in USKP. They haven't been available for a long time
  10. hmm, yes but I cannot fly (well unless tcl) and more useful would be a comparison to previous version rather than vanilla (which I presume is what each part starts with).
  11. Good point on HRDLC, but Skyrim-textures.bsa would still be ini file and can be removed
  12. Yes "Unselect inappropriate" was ticked under Settings - DDSopt ran overnight and so still open on my PC (now morning here) and so still same settings. Also, didn't know I was a wiki editor until I checked by emails after posting in the forum
  13. I would suggest not deleting as steam may try to update them. Or if you need to verify local files in future when skyrim misbehaving then steam will likely redownload them. However, you can remove the 3 bsas from your ini file - should this be added to step 7a?
  14. Also DLC section of Skyrim Installation guide: - Step 4 - that mod has been discontinued but still works. Should also add a note that it if you have drives m, n or o already mapped then you need to unmap them while running the cmd file. - Also I dont think the cmd file it likes spaces in the filepaths on lines 1 to 3 so replace with underscores and likely move to say c:\temp to shorten the path (I could be wrong about this). - Step 5 - this fix is more than just the blades armor fix but it is still just copy over HRDLC1. DDSopt Guide - DDSOpt config - wiki says "...should be configured optimally..." Having just installed it I found 2 settings that were different: - Settings - skip broken files was unchecked - Constraints - Model/space normal maps had a different setting EDIT: if it matters using 64 bit version of DDSopt
  15. Finally getting around to DDSopting by vanilla textures in preparation for next step. On extracting HRDLC1 I get an error that failed to copy 'placeholder.txt". Does that matter? EDIT: on HRDLC2 got same message for "\textures\architecture\placeholder.txt", "\textures\clutter\placeholder.txt" and in "\textures\dungeon\placeholder.txt" I assume it doesn't so may be good to add this to the guide to future users are concerned (unless I am doing something wrong!)
  16. isnt 14 nirnroot glow issue fixed by USKP?
  17. Also, are you using a mod manager (Wyre Bash or Mod Oragniser) or installing manually / NMM? If manually/NMM then I suggest you use Wyre Bash (or MO) as otherwise you will have a very painful process to install updates, in particular step 2.1.0 due out this friday
  18. oh and cannot recall whether I did this but I had this saved in a txt file at around the date I reinstalled in case it helps... For a quick better sorting fix, open skyrim\Data\SKSE\Plugins\auto_favorites.cfg in notepad, delete what's in there and put in: [config] hotkey = -2 [keywords] restore health - restore magicka - restore stamina - regenerate health - regenerate magicka - regenerate stamina - invisibility - fortify escape - restore health * restore magicka * restore stamina * regenerate health * regenerate magicka * regenerate stamina * invisibility * fortify escape * For the current stuff favmenumodder has. Obviously it can be customized to taste. Delete the ones with asterisks after if you don't want player created potions in the list.EDIT: as I dont have that file in that location I guess I didn't do it, but posting in case it helps someone else. I think it came off nexus somewhere :)
  19. looks pretty interesting. It also seems balanced (perhaps underpowered?) as it needs 8 perk points to get to full smithing capability and has an ongoing magicka penalty for each robot. Personally summoning seems a much better option as the robots are likely to get destroyed in a fight and then cannot be healed so you would need to keep healing them during a fight. Versus summoning where magicka cost recharges in a few seconds and they can keep being summoned. Although this is so much cooler than summoning :)
  20. and version 1.5.26 of skyrim
  21. I used it previously for a while and didn't notice any issues. Haven't installed it in current set up as I am trying to track down CTD that I get in the wilderness, managed to decrease frequency but still get em
  22. Oh and parts of "Weapons And Armor Fixes (NOTE: Use both “Main†And “Hacks†esps)" are included but other parts are not as it goes beyond fixes and makes changes. So iirc the fix parts are meant to be included but the change parts are not. As I am a mage and WAF "corrects" Archmage Robes such that it cannot be worn with Morokei mask (well unless craft into unhooded version) I have now turned WAF off. In RL I could wear a hooded mask and a hooded robe! Just look at snowskiers/boarders or in bad weather I personally sometimes wear a fleece with a hood plus a goretex jacket with a hood!
  23. Currently running 0.1.14 of CFM and 1.2.0 of CFM config - mods supported All seems to work properly for me
  24. AA, V sync, view distance etc wont help with stutter, they affect FPS not stutter. The stutter is caused by VRAM maxing out. I have 1280MB VRAM and use 1024 textures generally as all 2048 caused stuttering for me
  25. As a starting point I offer the below from early April when I reinstalled STEP via WB and when current version of USKP came out: In USKP? N All in 1 Spell Fixes (NOTE: Includes “Conjuration and Summoning Fixes†mod, will include more fixes) N Ancient Nord Armor 1st Person Fix N Armor And Other Rigfixes N Bed Time Fix (NOTE: Put the Script folder in Data) N Better Turn Animation Only One Pose N Bookshelf Patch N Bowlegged Jump Animation Fix N Clothing Fixes by Request (NOTE: Same link as “Static Mesh Improvement Modâ€) N Death Cam Duration Options (NOTE: Pick the “60 sec†version) N Esbern Quest Fix Tutorial (NOTE: This is just a guide, since uploading vanilla Beth files is illegal) N Eyebrows Match Hair N Headsmans Axe Fixed N Increased Charater Height N Keening Enchantment Fix (NOTE: Pick Only “100†version) N Leathers Weight Fix (NOTE: Pick the “Half Pound†version) N Linwe Armor First Person Fix N Matching Set Fixes N No NPC Greetings (NOTE: I recommend picking the “Slightly Reduced Distance†version) Y Possessive Corpses (NOTE: Install also the CK update) N Projectile Soul Trap with Visible Impact Effect N Shadow Striping Fix Y Shrine of Azura LOD Fix Y Talos Shrine Fix N Trainer Gold Exploit Fix (NOTE: Put the Script folder in Data) N Weapons And Armor Fixes (NOTE: Use both “Main†And “Hacks†esps)
