Besidilo Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 I like the mod, but the transition from Yuril's Rings to Jewels of the Nord is a matter of preference. I'd be inclined to switch over since keeping both mods on the list is simply a waste of space, and they both look good in their own ways (with the improved meshes, of course).
kryptopyr Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 Thanks. I didn't realize that High-Poly did not include them all. From your comparison, I also prefer the meshes from JotN.

z929669 Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 Worst case scenario you could instruct users to just install the meshes.Jewels of the Nord includes meshes for all (8) ring types, both ground objects (go) and regular object (as seen on the player character I presume).Higher-Poly Skyrim includes meshes for 4 ring types (plus one generic 'ring' I can't identify) but only the ground object. Comparison:JotN >Â Higher-Poly Skyrim JotN's meshes appear rounder. Higher Poly meshes are more symetrical (i.e., rounder; compare without HighSlide). They have more facets (i.e., polys), so that is why there is more opportunity to see angles on the outer edge. The inner of HP also seems smoother.
DoubleYou Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 Moved to Section F so new SMIM meshes/textures (textures based on this mod) properly overwrite this mod.
