EssArrBee Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 True Textures - Bird Nests by (JimtownIrish) I like these nests. Especially the one from the wild birds. I didn't know they needed a retex until I installed this mod. I'd recommend using the optional file that removes the egg textures or just hide them with MO. I kinda like the vanilla eggs myself. You can really see the clipping on the hey piles through the bottom of the chicken nests. Someone should fix that. I took a few screens, the chicken ones don't show that well, but they look great in game. STEP->True Textures Chicken->Wild Birds
DoubleYou Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 Would have to check out in-game. From the pics the wild one looks rather sharpened.
TechAngel85 Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 Agree and there is way too much specular going on there. It should not be shining like that.
EssArrBee Posted February 12, 2015 Author Posted February 12, 2015 I hadn't started up Skyrim in a few months before I started testing some stuff again and have had a bunch of issues. The lighting for stuff is super bright for reason, like everything is shiny. I turned the Brightness down to about 30% and it's still shiny in the daytime. I may have to nuke my install and start over. There's only two nests, one is outside Whiterun at the farm and the other by the carriage out front of Markarth so easy to look at. They look pretty good in game.
DoubleYou Posted January 28, 2016 Posted January 28, 2016 Well, they look overly sharp in-game to me as well. Just a tad too much sharpening for me. STEP - This Mod First set was taken at midnight.
Shadriss Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 Agree. Too sharpened and too bright. Also, agree someone (not me) should fix the clipping hay. :) Don't want our chickens (who are protected by guards more vigorously than some humans) to get hay up their... rear ends.
TechAngel85 Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 Sticking to what I said before...too sharp and too bright of a specular map in the alpha. If the author didn't include a specular map, it disparately needs one. Removing the testing tag from this one.
