Question

Posted (edited)

Hello,

I can't get my enb sun to work as intended with all it's special effects. Here's what it looks like:

https://cloud-4.steamusercontent.com/ugc ... 66A131FF5/

I'm using MO and launching Skyrim through SKSE. I'm using Vividian Enb Vanilla. I have COT installed along with SS and ESS. Everything else appears to be working fine. My driver's AA and AF are set to application controlled. I've tried downgrading NVidia drivers in an attempt to fix the problem, but it didn't work.

Thanks for any suggestions in advance :)

Greetings,

Are you using the Vividian Vanilla 6.50b from the beta dircory ? If now please do so ;)

https://www.dropbox.com/s/octj2af6nsqdtqq/Vividian%206%20-%20Vanilla.7z?dl=0

and please also update to the latest extended weathers here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/jn9u7e0o9d804n2/Vividian%20-%20Extended%20Weathers.7z?dl=0

I strongy unifyd sun in that version cus it was to unstable in its intensity.

and yes, please get rid of RCRN there and check your enblocal.ini that there is no rcrn dll loaded.

If you fall back to vanilla weathers please also install the vividian Vanilla weather patch during the installation.

The strongest effect will arise at sunrise and sunset because the humidity in the air will rise there. At a clear day the effect will be less visible than on cloudy days though.

I can't remember what Vividian's sun looks like, but that looks like the Procedural Sun to me. What are you trying to do specifically?

I don't know the technical terms for it, but I wanted the light rays that can come from an enb sun (not that ugly 2d graphic, but the blooming rays) .

I grabbed this shot from STEP's ENB guide; Vividian ENB:

https://static-3.nexusmods.com/15/mods/110/images/36067-1-1406533089.jpg

It would be nice to get it looking like that picture.

Those are Volumetric Rays and are mainly seen during sunrises and sunsets. Try looking at the sunset from outside Whiterun and see what it looks like.

EDIT:

You can speed up the time by opening the console and typing in:

set timescale to 1000

Be sure when you're done to return it to its default:

set timescale to 20

Here's one of my shots using Vividian Vanilla:

1PUzOka.jpg

It will be dependent on both weather and time of day whether or not you see the rays.

I've never seen anything like that in Vividian, but I have seen it in Realvision, Sharpshooters, and Pure ENB

Here's the sunset I just SS'd:

https://cloud-4.steamusercontent.com/ugc/37488607873985600/0FDB285817EB8B61811F63B9A6A3B6AC145DC918/

I really think it's gimped, even though Vividian's might be more subtle.

edit* i just noticed I missed your directions of taking it in Whiterun. Let me know if this SS isn't good.

I'm not familiar with you're combination of mods so I'm PM Mangaclub and see if he has any thoughts.

I sent him a PM and linked this thread. I'll go ahead and posts my plugins.

I guess I'll tell you a few things about your LO...

These are not needed due to other mods in the list.

ClimatesOfTamriel-Dawnguard-Patch.esp
Lanterns Of Skyrim - All In One - Climates of Tamriel - lvl-4.esp
Lanterns Of Skyrim - All In One - Climates of Tamriel - lvl-3.esp
Lanterns Of Skyrim - All In One - Climates of Tamriel - lvl-2.esp
Lanterns Of Skyrim - All In One - Climates of Tamriel - lvl-1.esp
Lanterns Of Skyrim - All In One - Climates of Tamriel - default.esp
ClimatesOfTamriel-Dragonborn-Patch.esp
AOS2_SupremeStorms_CoT Patch.esp
AOS2_CoT3_1_patch.esp

ELE-Interior Lighting Merged.esp is kind of a tricky one. I would say move it down your LO and patch it but if you dont know how to patch then maybe its best in its current location.

There are some other mods that may have small conflicts or redundancies between RCRN, COT, vividian weather patch but leave it like how you have it if you dont know what you are doing. I dont know what a setup with that weather combination would be though.

Hey thanks man,

I don't know anything about patching so I'll just leave ELE alone.

I need to get rid of those RCRN plugins. I tried swapping from COT to RCRN, and had several problems with it so I removed RCRN in MO and swapped back to COT, but I never checked my plug-ins afterwards. Pretty terrible...

if you are not using RCRN then I would remove the esps so that the vividian WP can take over the weather edits

The sun texture is black on purpose so that the enb sun can take over.

Why it isnt working? Maybe something the the RCRN esps

Wait 24 hours in game and see if the ENB sun works correctly
