Ganda 35 Report post Posted September 24, 2014 I have a really old Logitech Rumblepad 2 that is constantly annoying me for needing a 360 emulator (x360ce) to even work with anything nowadays (and it has started to break). So I'm looking to buy a new controller but I'm indecisive between the xbox 360 and xbox one (now that it can be used on pc). The difference is only 10€, so which one you guys think is better? Or is there another cheaper one that has the same compatibility? Thank you! :D
Gekko64 5 Report post Posted September 24, 2014 (edited) xbox 360 is better imo. the side buttons of the xbox one controller are too hard to press. I'd avoid off brand ones, a friend of mine has a Gamespot one which was cheaper but he has some input issues ingame with skyrim. gpthree 5 Report post Posted September 24, 2014 I like both of them. You have to use the One controller wired to a usb port while its possible to use a 360 one wireless if you get the PC dongle for it.
redirishlord 39 Report post Posted September 24, 2014 I've been using a Razer Nostromo and a trackball mouse, the gamepad's keybinds get read as a keyboard so no compatibility issue. Since this gives you a thumbstick for each hand it's got that whole console controller ergonomic thing going on. The current equivalent is the Razer Tartarus which retailsfor about 70 pounds or $80 usd.
EssArrBee 8 Report post Posted September 24, 2014 I use the 360 controller with a chatpad. The drivers are incomplete for the chatpads but they emulate the keyboard so I get tons of extra keys. All that stuff is cheap on eBay now that the xbox one has been out for a while.

I never actually bought anything on eBay, how cheap are they? I can get a wired (don't really care) 360 controller for 36€ in a store.
TechAngel85 14 Report post Posted September 25, 2014 I too use a Xbox 360 controller, but only for the games that are nearly impossible to play without one. Like Witcher 2....you need a third hand to play that game with a keyboard and mouse.

gpthree 5 Report post Posted September 25, 2014 Does Xbox controller work well with Skyrim? It plays fine with a keyboard. I think there are a few mods out there that issues with controllers, but for the most part its rare.
EssArrBee 8 Report post Posted September 25, 2014 Convenient horses works with controller using a multi tap mode. That pretty much makes it work just fine with a modded setup.
SparrowPrince 169 Report post Posted September 28, 2014 I have a 360 controller for PC, but yesterday I downloaded DS4Tool, plugged the DUALSHOCK 4 in, and it's safe to say I won't be going back to the 360 controller. You can turn the stupid lightbar off as well by the way.
phazer11 1 Report post Posted September 29, 2014 I use a PS3 controller when I use one. That DS4Tool is great.
