EssArrBee Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 Equipment Degradation by isoku Isuko is at it again. Looks like a degradation mod. Probably works better than the other mods that attempt to add this to the game. It's a port of the iNeed system for equipment so it should be lots of fun. Pack material if I ever saw it.
CiXwOw Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 Just found this on the Nexus and jumped right over here to see what you guys had to say. I guess I got here early.
rootsrat Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 Sounds interesting! Coming from Isoku, this must be well executed mod as well, I'd guess.
Livnthedream Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 Its got too many engine related drawbacks I feel. Like the issue of getting disarmed and having the weapon be set to a random condition for the dungeon. Also, it doesn't effect followers (not much does) which is the sort of thing that I personally would like to see in it.
torminater Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 Oooooh, too bad. Apparently each time a item leaves your inventory it gets reset and each of your 5 iron daggers will degrade at the same time, making carrying a spare weapon around little useful...
Neovalen Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 Yeah, saw this and while interesting the engine drawbacks are killer.

There is now a delay of 15 seconds after dropping before the mod forgets the item.
EssArrBee Posted June 16, 2014 Author Posted June 16, 2014 I think a bigger problem is that my weapon falls through the floor half the time I get disarmed. But really how often does being disarmed happen that it matters?
Livnthedream Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 The disarmed part has been addressed kinda. There is now a delay of 15 seconds after dropping before the mod forgets the item. As EssArrBee points out below, half the time you need to go fishing around for it. I know if I am fighting something and get disarmed its going to take me longer than 15sec to kill what I am fighting and stumble around to find my weapon. I think a bigger problem is that my weapon falls through the floor half the time I get disarmed. But really how often does being disarmed happen that it matters? It happens enough that I no longer play "tank" characters (the only REAL melee!). 1
EssArrBee Posted June 17, 2014 Author Posted June 17, 2014 I guess I forgot how many dragr have disarm with Requiem installed. Seems that isuko is doing some quick updates to this mod. I'm going to wait a couple days and see what happens.
