Requiem Pack (WIP)

Realistic Room Rental is not compatible with Requiem. Install the ETaC complete with Inns to get new looking Inns, Requiem handles the price changes. BFT and ETaC are compatible with Requiem and have patches I believe.

You likely could get away with just the Requiem patches but you would need to check in TES5Edit to be sure. I would suggest loading those patches in the order shown and merging them into one thereby covering everything.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the quick reply Smiley :D

Yessir, took out RRR and Installed ETac w/Inns.

The game seems to be running well aside from two very strange things:

1. I have soggy feet All the time... Rain or shine, inside or out. Have All the effects turned off in both Wet And Cold and Frostfall to try and remedy,,, no dice.

2. B-Smithing.... I cannot improve any weapons or armor. I can create certain armor according to the basic perk I have unlocked. I started the crafting quest at warmaidens, made the dagger, once attempting to improve it at a grindstone (I have materials needed) dagger is greyed out and I get a message saying I have no idea how to do this.

Do I need to unlock another perk to improve a lowly Iron dagger? The first perk unlocks the basics. Thought that would cover iron improvement.

I hate to ask man... Can you point me to a specific guide on using tes5edit to determine if several patches are needed? Errr, what does one look for when determining what needs to be patched between 2-3 mods with Xedit?

Ive gone as far as installing 3rd parties to MO, Xedit is a scary realm for me. Kinda like going into my first Oblivion Realm. When I look at tes5edit its kinda like reading a book in a mirror upsidedown in a foreign language.

I tried reading the readme that came with tes5edit, but not knowing wht the terms mean makes the readme hard to understand.

As for merging... you mean I can merge all those patches into 1 big patch???? gawd thats scarey as the nether!

**** man... one more thing.... do I need a bashed patch for that load order I posted?

!. Something up there, do not know what.

2. Need to find / buy and read smithing books to improve and gain smithing perks.

Can find guides easily try here SR:LE tis another guide but is well explained and links to all other guides. There is also one from STEP but is basically the same information.

Your load order is small so I wouldn't worry too much about merging mods but I would suggest getting rid of RND and all it's patches and use iNeed instead, this works fine with everything and does not need patching.

Might solve soggy feet problem, I don't know why but clearly there is a conflict, TES5Edit would help there but you will need to learn the basics of it first.

Hope this helps.

Some plans, I have been working with other mods working together instead of Requiem for now, but will try and get Requiem set up with SR:LE as soon as I get time. Assuming it all works I will let you know.

Awesome, we have similar tastes in mods.

Remember the days of DDSopting ALL textures to 1024x512 in order to run mass difficulty mods and keep a stable game? :]

I am curious of the gameplay mod combinations you are using now, do they make for a more challenging game or is it more of an enhanced vanilla experience?

Here is my modlist, it does make the game harder especially the Sinister Seven mod, currently just dies at the first Dragon fight because of being attacked by hired killers 2 - 4x my level. Really tough. High lighted added mods otherwise is exactly SR:LE plus REGS, the plus designation is for mods that have a different install than called for due to added mods.

As always the mod list is upside down. Seems quite stable with no extra patching.

With Requiem 1.9 being released, I wanted to jump back in Skyrim. With that in mind, does anybody know what changes would need to be done to this pack to update it for the current version? Reading up on it, it appears that 1.9 was actually built around compatibility with other mods.

You can take it to the bank there wont be 100% compatibility, though. Would be close to impossible.

Maybe try a test run and see what you might be able to break?

I'm pretty new to all this but....

I was reading through the Requiem 1.9 documentation in my first attempts to start comprehending how I can apply Requiem to the STEP Core build I just completed. If I understand this correctly:

...It sounds like there shouldn't be very many conflicts between STEP Core and Requiem, as a lot of the mods that do things I think would conflict (looking at my MO plugin list) with Requiem are included in 1.9 or have patches at Another Requiem Patch Central:

When I look at my bashed patch in Wrye Bash, it only has CRF, CCF, aMidianBorn Content addon, CCOR, and ICFH as it masters (other than Vanilla .esm's). All those are patched by the 1.9 Reqtificator now right? This means the only thing left to determine compatibility wise would be if any of the remaining plugins in my load order that DON'T mess with leveled lists would be conflicting with Requiem in any way. Some ones I'm doubtful on or not sure on are:

Then of course all these potential changes or incompatibilities might mean one would be unable to use the custom STEP patches in which case there might be quite a bit of instability? I totally lack the skill or experience to be able to identify or resolve all these issues, but it would be awesome if some of you could shed some insight on this new version of Requiem, and what might be definitely incompatible. It seems the STEP pack guide hasn't been updated since 1.7 (2013?).  I found the game a bit too easy when I played through most of it on console a few years back. I really wanted to do my modded playthrough with Requiem.

Smile, have you updated recently to 1.9? Before I dive back into Skyrim, I wanted to hear from people much more knowledgeable than I on what difficulties the newest version has with STEP with all the recent changes.
