DoubleYou Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 Semitransparent Stalhrim Deposits by chadsketch https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/50043 Makes the deposits of stalhrim ore just slightly transparent by modifying the meshes and adding a basic retexture. You can see a draugr body beneath the one deposit when you get close. From the screens, this looks like a promising improvement, and I don't think this texture has been touched before.
DoYouEvenModBro Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 This looks sweet. I'm definitely downloading it. Great find!
Neovalen Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 I like this look as well though I cannot say the same for the mod it links to in the description... lol. :)
Aiyen Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 Very interesting indeed. I guess you could say it is a small gem of sorts! :o
Skadi Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 Oh wow, it was a surprise to find a post about the mod up here. I've added a version that creates refractions in the ice. So, from a distance you can't see the corpse that well, but up close you have a distorted body. It's creepy as hell. Overall, I think it's pretty lore friendly. As for the mod I link to, I think the stalhrim armor is amazing and lore friendly as well. It's not skimpy or too crystalline, but you have to see it in-game for a real idea of how it looks with refraction. The weapons and glass set are all too transparent, and the author admits he just wanted to see his follower's butt with a shield on her back. Also, the guy is incredibly receptive to requests if anyone is interested in variations of any kind. I have a decent pic of the armor and weapons on nexus: https://static1.nexusmods.com/15/images/110/6642712-1385841515.jpg

Noobsayer Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 I like the transparent weapons >.>; lol And have installed the deposits texture to try it out. :) Looks good in screenies!

DoYouEvenModBro Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 I just wanna say that I'm using the newest semitransparent version and it looks really nice. Should definitely be considered for STEP. I haven't tested all versions.
