Well, I can't help with the graphics card, but if you're interested at some point in testing textures for items the easiest way to do this is to open the console and type "coc qasmoke".  This will take you to a test cell where you can easily grab all of the various robes (or armors or weapons or jewelry...).  The lighting in qasmoke is awful, though, so I recommend "coc riverwood" to jump back to the skyrim worldspace and get better lighting for your shots.

Thanks for the heads up about the CCF patch. Had a lot going on in RL lately and I'm a bit out of the loop again. EDIT: Glad to see these officially made it into Skyrim Revisited too. :) They're really very nice imo. I used to download armor mods to play a mage because the original robes were bleh, but I actually enjoy using the original ones now.
