Long time! Nice to see ya around!

I haven't actually installed a single mod besides the textures I've worked on.

Ditto!

... and same (besides SFSE). I'm not even running MO beta with SF support yet, but it's good to have reliable suggestions (hopefully updated and the mod-i-verse for SF evolves).

PS: I've only played through the first encounter with the pirates on Kreet. Too busy with RL and SSE stuff to devote much time into SF at this point (oh, and I'm still finishing my first Elden Ring playthrough at 200+ hours now).

I'm currently using:

  • Starfield Upscaler
    • I prefer the look of DLSS over FSR, though it does not impact framerate much one way or the other.
  • ReShade
    • Using this to apply a little extra sharpening, since DLSS does not include it by default any longer, and some gamma adjustments.
  • Starfield Performance Optimizations (Ultra)
    • Some .ini tweaks. Reduces shadow count and detail as well as reflection detail, boosts GTAO, culls grass more aggressively, reduces crowds. Worth a few FPS, and not terribly noticeable.
  • SGS's LUTs (50%)
    • The best LUT replacement I've found so far. Doesn't dramatically alter the default coloring, but removes some of the hazy green tint.
  • 60 FPS - Smooth UI (Trim)
    • Adjusts the default UI .swfs to run at 60 FPS instead of 30.
  • Compact Mission UI
    • Allows more visibility in the mission menu, and displays completed quests with less opacity.
    • Overwrites 60 FPS - Smooth UI.
  • StarUI Inventory
    • Goes without saying!
    • Overwrites 60 FPS - Smooth UI.
  • SFSE
    • Goes without saying as well!
  • Baka Achievement Enabler
    • Allows for the use of console commands and other mods without disabling achievements.

Gotcha. I'm using Vortex actually. It works quite well, aside from the textures/meshes stuff. I'm only correcting the UI and HUD for now, you know the QOL stuff that make the experience smoother and better. Not gonna interfere with mechanics, balance etc. for my first playthrough, but I already dislike the bullet-sponge :D

Nice list, thanks!

Slowly working on a full list that doesn't alter gameplay mechanics (much) and just enhances the game as-is. I'll try to keep it updated.

Mods that do alter mechanics are marked with **.

My comments are in green.
