I'm getting the following error, I was getting in on DynDOLOD 2x as well so I updated to 3x in hopes to fix the error but that didn't happen.

Can not copy resource textures\dungeons\imperial\impextwall01_n.dds to D:\Skyrim VR (Modded)\tools\DynDOLOD\TexGen_Output\DynDOLOD-temp\textures\dungeons\imperial\impextwall01ice_n.dds The system cannot find the path specified.

Side note: I'm using this with a modpack from Wabbajack which copied my skyrim installation to a new path (D:\Skyrim VR (Modded)\Stock Game). The reason they did this was because the modpack comes with DLL loaders, skse vr, enb, etc pre installed. I already added the following to arguments in MO2:

-TES5VR -d:"D:\Skyrim VR (Modded)\Stock Game\Data"

Edit: I saw the post above had similar issues however I'm not sure I understand how to resolve it.

For me this happened after the latest Windows 10 update. So i had to add exceptions for MO2 folder, DynDOLOD folder, texgen64.exe and DybDOLOD64.exe in Windows Defender (dont know if all exceptions was needed but that is what i did).

You seem to not have Skyrim in the usual game Steam folder. Use the legal version at its typical Steam location and mod properly with a mod manager to avoid issues, more complicated modding and troubleshooting. I would avoid such guides that do such unnecessary steps that only complicate the setup further.

The "Can not copy resource" error with the message that the system cannot find the path is caused by the OS, UAC, anti vir or other crap ware blocking access. Refer to the manual/doc/google search for your OS, UAC, anti vir how to let programs read/write to the files system/specific folders.

You gotta be crapping me... sigh alright I got it working now. I have no idea why it didn't work before.... but it works now.

I'm using windows 10 so this should be relevent to a few peeps having problems

Go to settings, Click update security, on the left panel click Windows Security, Click open windows security, Select Virus and threat protection, under virus and threat protection settings select Manage settings, Scroll down to exclusions and select add and remove exclusions, click Add an exclusion, select folder, find your dyndolod folder and select folder.

you may need to do the same for Mod Organiser 2.

I had already done this btw, Mod Organiser 2, Dyndolod and Texgen were all selected as files and that seemed to work in the past, I guess we just gotta select it as folders now.

Instead of posting a screenshot  it would be better to use the Copy message to clipboard and paste that instead. The copy also should not have abbreviated paths for example.

The error message explains what the problem is.

Click the "Help for this message" to open https://dyndolod.info/Messages/Can-Not-Copy-Resource. On the help page it says:

"The system cannot find the path specified typically means the OS, UAC, antivir or some other 3rd party crap ware is blocking write access to the mentioned destination path. Add an execption to whatever it is that is blocking access."

Do not install DynDOLOD into mod manager folders. Read the installation instructions.

Unchecking required LOD assets that have absolutely nothing to do with the error message of not being able to write a file to the empty and dedicated output folder is only going to cause visual issues.

How could those assets that do not contain either texture filename be related to TexGen copying a full texture from the data folder to a new filename in the TexGen output folder?

It is very likely whatever was blocking file access before simply stopped blocking in the last run, regardless of the LOD resources.

Read https://dyndolod.info/Official-DynDOLOD-Support-Forum#Post-Logs what entire log files of the last meaningful LOD generation process to post/upload when making reports.

Click the "help for this message" link as explained to open https://dyndolod.info/Messages/Can-Not-Copy-Resource:
"The system cannot find the path specified typically means the OS, UAC, antivir or some other 3rd party crap ware is blocking write access to the mentioned destination path. Add an exception to whatever it is that is blocking access."

Clean/delete the output folder before running TexGen so there are no old files, which might be still accessed by other programs.

Do not install DynDOLOD into mod manager folders as explained in the installation instructions.

Thanks for this. I was really suprised when TexGen has suddenly started giving me that error when literally a few days ago it worked just fine. No changes was made to my system whatsoever, no updates, nothing. At least not with my approval.

Windows, are you all right?

If DynDOLOD and other LODGen apps and MO2 are installed per recommendations, then there should not be any issues with AV or UAC. Sounds like these apps may be installed under Program Files or in MO2 location as mods

No. Nothing has been changed since last week when I successfully rebuilt LOD once again just like many times before that, but today I decided to rebuild xLODGen and DynDOLOD and that exact error occured. MO2 is installed outside Program FIles, inside Skyrim's folder as well as xLODGen and DynDOLOD. I've been using these tools for a long time.

If you installed Mod Organizer within the Skyrim folder, that may be your problem. The virtual file system does not always work correctly when it's installed in the game folder.

TexGen does not suddenly start giving errors. TexGen was prevented from file access and reports that fact.

Windows or the "anti virus"  update constantly.

I have no other ideas other than Windows screwing things up with one of its silent AV updates or whatever. It's been all right for years and my file structure of Skyrim tools and utilities installed hasn't changed. Anyway, problem solved. Cheers.

Good day Sheson! I'm a bit new to your mods and I'm currently using your DynDOLOD 3.0 version. From my understanding If I want to use the 3.0 version I only need to download the file from the miscellaneous section and then the DynDOLOD Resource 3.0, right? I did the aforementioned but when I try to generate my TextGen, I keep getting errors where it says that it "Can not copy resource" as it can't find the path specified, but the file it mentiones is different everytime. Here's an example

Forgive me if I missed something here. But can you please help me with this? Thank you.

EDIT: I don't know if this helps but, the resource pack I'm having problems with is Alpha 11, I used Alpha 9 before and I didn't had any issues with it.
