eberkain Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 I wonder, could the mod be setup to that it could keep playing the audio till the end of the book, even after you close the book. Kind of like the old log player in system shock 2. Less immersive, but more functional.
EssArrBee Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 This mod was just released. It has the ability to let anyone upload files of voices over too the world. There is an MCM menu for customization and you can even set it to keep reading a book after you close it, so that it is like a audio book for adventuring. I'll edit the OP with the link, plus it is here too.
deathneko11 Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 so if I read the mod description right, once you have everything set up properly there are only a limited number of books that have support for the audio? and the rest of the books are yet to come, and need voice actors correct? definitely following this one as an immersion mod.
torminater Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 wow, I was waiting very long for this one! :-)
EssArrBee Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 Well, there is a file that is 900+ MB, so there is pretty good audio book support already. I say go have fun.
Neovalen Posted November 2, 2013 Posted November 2, 2013 Sadly... I must say I am disappointed. Originally there were going to be actual voice actors doing the readings, this turned out to be a text-to-speech interpreter version. Very sad indeed. Perhaps one day if voice packs are uploaded it may be usable.
EisDrache Posted November 2, 2013 Posted November 2, 2013 Yep like alot of good mods out there people got lazy or just stopped playing/modding skyrim and or forgot about this mod.
mothergoose729 Posted November 2, 2013 Posted November 2, 2013 Its a community resource mod. If you think you can do better, record yourself reading some books. I will probably contribute a few nyself if i get the chance.
DoubleYou Posted November 2, 2013 Posted November 2, 2013 What would be awesome would be to take the unfinished work that this is and make another unfinished work. Gopher has been doing some videos reading some of the books he finds. We could, with his permission of course, take the audio from those reading and apply it to all the books he has read so far.
torminater Posted November 2, 2013 Posted November 2, 2013 Well, Gopher had said he planned on uploading his recordings of reading the books himself at some point, but I don't know how he stands on this matter nowadays.
rootsrat Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 I don't like the idea. Not immersive or realistic at all, I prefer to read books on my own in Skyrim.
