Hey Sheson & community,

FIrst time using DynDOLOD 3.0 on latest AE with NG DLLs I ran into an issue with range check errors.

First off, all plugins identified by LOOT as dirty were cleaned, Treemod is Ulvenvald 3.1 with 3D Hybrid LoDs installed. TexGen ran normally and was installed normally, overwrite all. Among others I have USEEP, Lux, Lux Orbis, Lux Via, Water for ENB, and all their patches installed. Game was stable so far.

Whenever I run DynDOLOD, it stops after a few minutes with an Error: Range check error while processing [some plugin]. Sometimes it's Skyrim.esm, sometimes JK's Skyirm.esp, seemingly everytime it's a different object, marker, navpoint placed in a different cell causing the crash, like this:

Tried a couple of times by now, everytime it's a range check error, every time a different reason. Strange thing is, I checked all plugins for errors with SSEEdit, and these references are not errors.

I've attached my regular log file to this message. The DynDOLOD_SSE_Debug_log.txt is 37MB big so it's uploaded with the bugreport.txt here: https://ufile.io/rb3c2efh

Any idea or help is appreciated.

DynDOLOD_SSE_log.txt 909.8 kB · 1 download

The archive does not contains the bugreport.txt.

As explained at https://dyndolod.info/Official-DynDOLOD-Support-Forum#Copy-and-Paste-Text, do not post screenshots of messages or the tools.

Make sure the system is stable, overclocking, cooling, memory settings etc.

Thanks for the quick reply, apologies for the screenshots. Update link to all logfiles is here, I must have misclicked: https://ufile.io/ipuovo1h

My system is overclocked, I'll try to disable the OC to run dyndolod

Some objects have black textures.
Different textures appear within the same bto file. Some are normal, some are black.
I know the reason for this is Seasons of Skyrim, but I don't know the exact cause.
Someone can help me?
I've always run DynDOLOD in the same way and this has never happened before.
The criterion is DynDOLOD 152.
Everything, including Resources, is up to date as of now.

Hey, I recently switched out some smaller mods in my load order (mostly lighting, EFLX -> Lux), and needed to regenerate my LODs due to some issue I was running into in Riften. I updated to the newest version, I had been using a build from a few months back, not sure which one though. I also updated Resources and the DLL, but the LOD generation has taken significantly longer than expected. When I used to run it, it would take around 2 hours to complete, however now, I'm currently 20 hours into generation, and it seems to be crawling through the Tamriel Object Lod generation. Yesterday morning I thought I had maybe done something wrong, so I reset the process, but the issue is persisting. I've noticed the main holdups are the Tamriel and Solstheim. Where there any changes made in recent builds that would cause this to happen? I might have missed a setting or something, but I'm not sure what to look for.

Edit: forgot to add this, but Tamriel has specifically been working on LOD lvl 4 for 16 hours out of the 20.

I tried to find out how to make a dyndolod crash log, but couldn't find it.  i consider myself having average experience when it comes to installing and using mods, so any help with this crash issue would be much appreciated.  so these are the 3 log files i found on my computer.  these are all from the same and my most recent crash.   the first log is from the SKSE folder, the 2nd log is from a papyrus log, and the 3rd is from mod organizer i think.  i'm using LOOT, used darkladylexy's guide to create all the outputs, and i'm in riften now.  i have about 30 hours in skyrim with over 180 different mods and haven't had a problem.   my game is pretty fast, but when i enable the dyndolod output, the framerate bogs down and eventually crashes after walking around a couple minutes, especially  when outdoors.  i researched some of the dyndolod documents, but couldn't figure out to create a dyndolod crash log.  thank you for your time.

Hi Sheson,

Dyndolod used to work fantastic for me until I updated it (no change to modlist). I've tried troubleshooting such as disabling antivirus, overclocking etc.

Would appreciate some assistance in figuring out what's going wrong. Thanks!

Sorry, but I don't have a problem. I can understand that many here report problems without providing logs, etc.. I just wanted to get into the conversation.

Are the customizations to Texconv publicly viewable?

Here is a diff of the customized texconv.cpp.

texconv.cpp.7z

The papyrus log is not a crash log. The log from MO2 helps if there are problems with MO2.
DynDOLOD does/can not create a crash log in the game, that is what CrashLoggerSSE is for.
