The 2K version is likely the right candidate, however, if the current textures are 4K, then test against both 4K and 2K. STEP > Better Dirt Cliffs
Mercury71 Posted August 15, 2020 Posted August 15, 2020 I think i prefer the Better Dirtcliffs Mod. The thing is that in the first picture it looks like old dead roots and therfore less dirt, in Better Dirt Mod it looks more like living roots and therefore more dirt. But i really think it is best down by the water under the overhang, looks natural and realistic to have some dirt there so close to the water. But it is really up to taste. (How long would roots look healthy in the air llike in the Better Dirtcliffs Mod before turning into dry and grey roots? :)
z929669 Posted August 17, 2020 Posted August 17, 2020 I like where this mod is going and in many cases seems like an improvement ... but I think the dirt is too dark in some cases and contrasts too much with the bedrock. The third compare set really shows this. Looks like there was an oil spill. I would love it if the author lightened the dirt up just a bit. LOD would look really stark. Vanilla doesn't look good either, but blends better, especially in the distance.
TechAngel85 Posted January 11, 2021 Author Posted January 11, 2021 I have to agree with Z. I look far better but fails with the dirt texture for our Guide. It's just far too dark and is made to blend with a specific dirt texture from a specific mod...which is obvious in our case. It's a good mod, just not made for our mod list. I'm tracking it in hopes that an option for lighter dirt textures will be made available in the future.
Greg Posted January 11, 2021 Posted January 11, 2021 I thought I had already commented on this one, but I agree that the dark surface dirt seems out of place to me.
