This screenshot shows that the Season checkbox is enabled (it is not greyed out anymore) and can be checked to enable the Seasons dropdown.

Use the [x] Seasons checkbox to enable the feature and to select the desired and available seasons. A season only becomes available if swaps for it have been found and loaded successfully.

We do not really need users to tell us about game updates or changes.

 ElminsterAU just pushed the upate to the xEdit github like 5 minutes ago.

Sorry for being an idiot, but I just can't get the lod generation to work after the latest FO4 update by Bethesda.

I've downloaded the latest version of xLodgen (the one linked here in the first post), but the generation always aborts with "extraction not supported for this archive".

Upload the FO4LODGen_log.txt and bugreport.txt if it exists.

Make sure that you are actually starting the xLODGenx64.exe from the xLODGen terrain LOD beta 110 archive and not an older version.

I made sure that I'm using the latest version of xLodgen by deleting the older version and extracting the new one.

Thanks for looking into it.

 

I forgot to mention: This is when using Vivid Fallout landscape, when using the vanilla landscape it aborts immediately.

Add logfiles as attachment or paste them to pastebin or upload them to a file service as explained in my signature. That is just too much text for the form to handle properly.

If the same error message shows, get latest xEdit 5.15f from the xEdit discord #xedit-builds channel. Load the load order in it and in case it loads without error, start the Asset Browser with CTRL+F3 and try to unpack / copy a one of the mentioned textures with it. If there is also an error report it on the discord. If it works with it let me know.

Always set a dedicated output folder outside of game and  mod manager manager folders with -o and then install output as a mod.
The game should not be installed to special Windows folder like Program Files x86 to avoid issues with UAC or antvir etc.

Sorry, I wasn't logged in on my tablet when I first read your reply and didn't see that you have a signature.

Anyway, the terrain lod generation worked without a hitch with the new executable, but I'm having problems with the object lod generation now. It seems somehow the materials files cannot be found.

Great about terrain LOD.

Get xLODGen terrain LOD beta 111. It should fix the the issue with the materials.

Let me know if it works, also test in the game that object LOD has the expected materials/textures.

Terrain lod and oject lod generation went through without any errors with the new version.

Did a quick tcl flyover over the downtown area and surroundings, and so far so good, everything looks in place. I had one object lod not unloading when approaching it, but I vaguely remember that this could even happen in the vanilla game, so I don't think it is a problem.

All I can say is thank you, not only is xLodgen one of the most important modding tools for any Bethesda game imo, but your maintenance is also outstanding.

I spent two weeks building my load order for Skyrim GOG, i'm at the final step, using Dyndolod and XlodGen.

Except that it is not going smoothly at all from the get go.

I used the correct command line arguments and XlodGen thinks i want to generate lod for Fallout 4, the paths it uses are a combination of Skyrim Special Edition and Fallout 4 and are mess, it predictably can't find the ini so i have to close it.

This is the command line, i changed my real name to Admin.

 

-m:"c:\Users\Admin\OneDrive\Documents\My Games\Skyrim Special Edition GOG\"
-p:"c:\Users\Admin\AppData\Local\Skyrim Special Edition GOG\plugins.txt"
-d:"G:\GOG Galaxy\Games\Skyrim Anniversary Edition\Data\"

 

If i rename xLodGen to SSELODGen, the program works but it loads Skyrim Special Edition Steam instead of Skyrim GOG.

Can someone help me with this mess please?  It's 6:00 AM by now and i've spent three hours on basically nothing.

Upload the SSELODGen_log.txt.
Copy and paste the actual command line being used and report into what program or whatever it is being entered and how xLODGen is actually started.

From the first post or the Readme.txt included in the download archive.
Rename xLODGen.exe to [game mode]LODGen.exe (TES5LODGen.exe for example) or start with command line parameter -fnv, -fo3, -fo4, -fo4vr, -tes5, tes5vr, -sse, -enderal, -enderalse

If a tool does not seem to use the command line arguments, it's is either because they are not passed to the tool or they are set incorrectly.

OneDrive maybe interfering.

How did you set up xEdit? Same thing.
