Issues installing STEP patch

I am using MO to install STEP, I have installed every mod from the list and finally got to the patches at the bottom, I downloaded the STEP patch and tried to run it in MO, and it asks if I have installed realistic Force and I say yes but then when it asks to install the patch it is greyed out. I know this means the mod is not installed correctly but I am not sure what to do differently. I installed the file, I do still have a plugin because I do not know how to remove it, it says to remove it in the instructions but doesn't say how, I tried disabling it and I also tried reinstalling the mod. Still with no luck installing the patch. I am not sure if the plugin is the issue or if something else is wrong.

 

Thank you in advance for the help. This is a very long process I would hate to no be able to complete it.

Zarok, I ran into a similar issue.

 

Assuming you're doing an EXTENDED installation, and that you've installed SMIM and RFF, below is the list of plugins that the STEP Compilation installer is checking for in order to mark the patch as eligible:

I think I had disabled the "Invisibility Eyes Fix" on my installation, which was causing the installer not to flag the patch as eligible.  Once I re-enabled that mod and re-ran the installer, it worked as expected.

 

 

To uninstall a mod in MO, just find it in the left-pane list, then right-click it and select "Remove Mod."

 

 

EDIT - Saw you tagged the post as STEP:Extended, so I changed the plugin list accordingly.

Thank you for your response! I appreciate it. I checked all of these ESP's and each one is installed and the plugin is enabled and the ESP is there. I installed every mod on the main STEP page. I wasn't sure the difference between extended and standard so I just did everything it told me to do. Like I said the one it isn't seeing is RRF but it is there but I see a note about removing the plugin. But no instructions. I am not sure what special thing needs to be done to RRF to get it to run with STEP in MO. I have tried reinstalling it.

Can you post your plugin list? It's located here: ..\Mod Organizer\profiles\*Profile Name*\plugins.txt

 

Be sure in the installer you are answering "Yes" to both the SMIM and RRF questions.

Okay, you have all the required plugins for the Extended Patch. You can remove the following as they are not needed with the Extended Patch:

• BetterQuestObjectives-CRFPatch.esp
• BetterQuestObjectives-DBForevertoMisc.esp
• BetterQuestObjectives-NECPatch.esp
• BetterQuestObjectives-PaarDilemmaPatch.esp

 

Are you using MO and not MO2? MO2 is not supported for the Guide as it's still in a beta state.

 

Next lets make sure you are using the internal installer.

1. Open MO
2. Click on the wrench and screw driver icon.
3. Go to the Plugins tab
4. Click on "Fomod Installer"
5. In the pane on the right, make sure both setting are set to "true".

I am using Mod orginizer 1.3.11, I unticked those ESP's and verified both of those were set to true already. What next?

Download the compilation again and try to install it. It was just update anyway.

So I did that and it turns out that it installed just fine, the issue was that on the second screen something was grayed out and so I thought something was wrong but I was actually able to install it anyway even though that was grayed out. Now I move onto the other patches. Is there a way that I can save all of the complicated STEP work to like one profile and then have another profile with other options or mods that are less immersive?

You can copy the profile within the profile management window.
