I switched from SC o Scrap Everything because it scraps everything. :)

I looked at Scrap Everything, but if you go through the comments on both mods, you'll see that Spring Cleaning purposely avoids scrapping stuff that leads to navmesh crashes and similar issues.  In other words, if Spring Cleaning doesn't let you scrap something, there may be a very good reason for that.

Not that I haven't disabled the occasional annoying obstruction.  But I try to not make a habit of it, and accept that there might be a cost.

I'd like to point out (in case folks don't know) that Wearable Backpacks adds a backpack workbench; in case you don't want to use the AWCR patches. Also K9 Tactical Armor adds backpack and pouches in case you don't want to add Dogmeat's Backpack.

I haven't had that many problems with Scrap Everything.

Okay, what is the difference between tagging something [Magazine] and tagging it [Perk: Mag]?

I've linked this page several times

https://wiki.step-project.com/User:Gernash/test

I'm trying to follow this new front end before I go any further in the guide but am struggling a bit.  You show screenshots for BethINI and FO4Config tool but then the text accompanying them is slightly different (in the case of FO4Config at least).  which is correct?

Also the whole INI Settings required for the MODWIKI section is confusing.  I'm assuming these need to be put into the FO4Custom.ini file but I can't tell what sections, which are variables that need to be changing or which are completely new and need to be added?

Also looking back over the past few days (the thread moves pretty fast so hard to keep up, I can only do so as I've been off ill from work this week), Theres a lot of development in patches and this Realisim aspect but when are you planning to implement any of these in the guide?

I'm not sure when the last time you went through the guide from scratch but, while it might make sense to you and the others where who have a working guide and are just tweaking to test with you, as someone going from scratch it's proving pretty hard to follow as it's so far behind what you've put in the thread.

I'm not sure what point you are at with this ARMO INNR part you say you are working on now (not sure what that is).  But as someone trying to follow the guide and feeling a bit lost (and I'm usually good at following this sort of guide) It might be worth consolidating and doing a pass through the guide from scratch, clearing up a few inconsistencies (probably caused by you working so hard on this and things changing) and getting what's in there stable before doing anymore additions.

This is why I opt'd for Spring Cleaning. Never had a problem. But prob don't have a problem with either. Would love to see an option in the guide at some point. I like in my off time playing around with settlement building and design. For those that dont just use Sim Settlement and be done with it!

When I went to play today, the game won't load. At all. Verified the files then decided to redo to ini files. Got it loaded, got it working. Still not totally happy with the visuals but working on it.

Now I remember why I removed the components from prewar money and other currency items  ... so they didn't appear in junk and get scrapped by the workbench.

 INI Settings required for the MODWIKI

I got annoyed at this point with my motherboard as My video card could not draw enough power and kept ramping down (Slowed down to 40% speed)

And that section on is just broken.

What are your thoughts in the upper section?

I'm going to do another testing pass over it and perhaps change a few things.(Not like me changing stuff...)

I'll DEFINITELY do I High and Mid spec ENB in that section it's on the TODO. Just color and effects are Subjective and reviewing stuff like that is time consuming.

MISC Items

{Scrap} Ceramic Bowl{{{Ceramic}}}

{Scrap} : is the Icon

Ceramic Bowl : Is the Name

{{{Ceramic}}} Is what you see in the Hover Over  NOTE: if you see the {{{ }}} then you have OPPS'D and your HUDMenu.swf is being overwritten or the incorrect version.

IF you want to make an Object be unscrappable if placed in the Workbench then ADD

NotJunkJetAmmo [KYWD:000E9447] Keyword to it

IF it's a Quest Item and you want the POPUP and MUSIC Played then ADD

FeaturedItem [KYWD:001B3FAC] Keyword to it

SCRAPPING

If I play my building load then I use spring cleaning as well. With scrap everything I can kill my save.

Going throug the wiki

It's mostly a copy and Paste of KESTRA's Work the TEST page is the revision.

<tag icon='mag' keyword='Perk: Mag' hidetag='true'/>

<tag icon='mag' keyword='Magazine' hidetag='true'/>

they have the same icon

if you wanted to sort them differently i.e. Perk: Mag with your bobble heads then

i.e. BTI

BTInt_DRGN_PublickOccurrencesArticle01 "[Magazine] Publick Occurences - Special Edition" [bOOK:xx187F19] - THIS IS a magazine

BTInt_PerkMagMadBomber_01 "[Magazine] Suicide Bomber's Guide to Survival Feb. 77" [bOOK:xx003F95] - THIS IS a Perk: Mag

it has the

PerkMagKeyword [KYWD:001D4A70]

also you can see VMAD info in it.

Thanks for the explanation.

If I'm not mistaken, Spring Cleaning does not scrap the buildings in Sanctuary? And how does Scrap Everything kill your saves?

Hmmmm .... interesting. All those comics from the collecting mods seem to have the wrong keyword. Wondering if it would be changed.

On a sidenote. I did have a crash from the workshop earlier.

I notice that you have all the collectibles from BTI with the keyword small .... I think some of them are medium or large. Also you are missing maybe half-a-dozen of them.

I've not spawned all the items then worked out size sorry. If there are ones they you know are wrong point them out I'll change the keyword (USER Driven bug fixes....)
