Dear STEP community (buttering up successful),

 

 

I need your opinion on a little something. 

 

Which of the following do you prefer?

The "dark red" appears to be black. (at least on my screen)

I've replaced it with a slightly less dark version (it might not look like it, but it's really red).

I like the first (dark, ~black).

I still like the first one though I think black would fit best with the over design. I don't know if you're caring about realistic or not, but in those times you're really not going to have a way of making colored metals unless it's painted and even there they didn't have paints back then...just dyes. You don't even see colored metals very often today on heavy metal like that. Thus, silver or polished iron would be realistic. Lore to the outfit though...black. :)

I was also leaning towards the darker version.

I'd say metallic or just matt black would look better than any of the above.
