Question

Posted

I have to use this old version of MO because I use Windows XP.

I cannot move USLEEP (Unofficial Skyrim Legendary Edition Patch) above Falskaar.esm.  The load order with ESMs seems to be locked, I cannot move USLEEP above an ESM.

The STEP guide refers to a "Lock load order" button, but maybe this appears in a later version of MO?

2nd question:  Whenever I close MO or run Skyrim from inside MO, an error message appears:  "Cannot rename ModOrganizer.ini".  Is this serious and can it be fixed?

Thanks a lot.

@Aristotle unfortunately you are in a sorry situation. Your XP system is going to continue to give you grief into the future if you wish to modify your game extensively, ie. STEP based.

Too many important issues were ironed out in the 1.3.x series of MO that you will not get any benefit from. Sadly the only recourse I can offer is to upgrade. Actually I would advise this even if it wasn't an MO matter. Drivers for your hardware, software compatibility, webpage rendering, etc. are all going to become more and more an issue for you if you persist with an out-dated OS.

Sad answer is, Microsoft no longer supports XP and neither does STEP for that reason. XP end-of-life past a while back and I still can not fathom why people are using it when Win 7 is just as fast and just as good (better in some ways).
