GUIDE W3R: The Wild Hunt Revisited (Witcher 3)
mcshame replied to Neovalen's topic in Unsupported Game Guides
This game is frigin beautiful on PC, OMG! Sorry... :) I added some of the extras I noticed you added this morning. I assume I need to run the script merger each time I change a mod? Are you going to add any texture mods? -
GUIDE W3R: The Wild Hunt Revisited (Witcher 3)
mcshame replied to Neovalen's topic in Unsupported Game Guides
I know this doesn't help Darth, but I've start the game without errors or issues (yet). I have a 960 GTX 4G and with the recommended settings I'm getting just over 30 FPS and at times high 20 FPS inside the bedroom! Will need to look at the hairworks... Still looks great! And the mod to change the way you turn candles on and off is SOOOO much better! -

Question. For All NPC Scabbards 1.22 including DLC, do we follow the mods instructions to install the folders in the Mods and DLC folders? - Place the "DLCScabbards" folder inside your "[Witcher 3 directory]\DLC" folder - Place the "modScabbards" folder inside your "[Witcher 3 directory]\Mods" folder -

GUIDE W3R: The Wild Hunt Revisited (Witcher 3)
mcshame replied to Neovalen's topic in Unsupported Game Guides
The key with this game is not to step away from it for too long in a playthrough. After a leave from it, it's almost overwhelming to approach it again due to the size of the story. It's quite an investment in time, but well worth it. On that topic (time investment), those with experience with GOG Galaxy, will I be able to get achievements? I slaved over getting all of them (including Death March) on the PS4 and I guess I would like to get them cleared on the PC. -

Nice, looks quite a bit tougher. Looks like the mod author is doing an overhaul of it for Ghost Mode -

Not shocked, just overjoyed to hear this. Will definitely jump on this coming guide. GOG has a sale on the GOTY edition so picked it up. No more PS4 playthroughs for me. Looking forward to it -

Game is quite stable. Had some more purple textures, the stone fences again. Added a couple of more textures from the mod that SMC didn't pick up and all was good. If others that have done beautified have seen this, let me know and I'll add the details so that can be added to the guide. I'll assume it was a mistake I did unless I hear otherwise. I picked up 2 followers, Faendal and some smiley guy in Riverwood, figuring I need all the muscle I can find. Lost him in a random bandit battle leaving Whiterun (he wouldn't take offered amour) and lost Faendal in a wickedly hard battle to find Amren's sword. Keeping a Journal with the Journal of the Dragonborn mod, having a really good time roll playing a Nord that lost his wife and home to a dragon attack. Slowly building up skills but I still cannot improve a simple dagger for the crafting quest. Going to enjoy the expanded Companion quest line, just too scared to do the first quest! Also afraid to go to Bleak Falls Barrow! Yash is working, it's like playing the game for the 1st time, you just cannot kill everything you meet. I've never run away so much from bandits and using potions to get that slight edge....If you can't tell, I'm liking it alot. Mods I added have been Journal of the Dragonbord and Pumping Iron as I started my guy as a scrawny guy; I think that's a good mod for this build with the Yash concept. However, I had to figure out why my FPS kept dropping to 10 when I was using my Journal. It was because ENB is using shift B to go to full blown mode which kills the FPS. Figured out how to remap it and all is good again. Took me a while to figure out, but I deactivated the follower health, magic and stamina bars (2 settings in MCM) as I felt it really took away from the immersion and Gopher's immersive hud. Frostfall going ok but haven't gone to really cold areas yet. Having fun with the lantern, made a tent and backpack but mostly sleeping indoors. Turn fast travel off however had to leave waiting outdoors active because it will not let you sleep outside in shacks or or bandit camp setups. Anyhow, got some time off now from work for the next week. Looking forward to putting more time into this. Thanks very much for the work on the guide. I hope you all stay active to produce some awesome guides in the Spring when all the mods start to flow in following SKSE64. -

The first time I had the same question. However, just install the ENB, you don't need the mod ( esps) as you'll need to remove then later. -

Getting my @ss handed to me. I use the attacked by a dragon start and looted the bandits gear that were killed in the attack. I couldn't use heavy armour or anything accept leather...Brutal. Then went to Pinewatch hut right near there, pick an easy lock, and then got trapped inside when the door re-locked as adept. Didn't think doors should relock but I push on into an underground cave system just completely getting my @ss kicked as these guys are using heavy armour and 2 handed weapons...and I can't escape! I'm enjoying it but it's a very rough start... -

First, make sure you installed ENB organizer per the guide Then, do the ENB Series Graphics Modification section. It is very important to complete the Raw enblocal.ini setting as described as you will get crashes if you do not (happened to me). I downloaded the Vividian ENB from the Nexus (Vividian ENB 7), I manual extracted the folder Main files which contain the enbseries files and imported the folder as a preset in the ENB organizer and activated it. There are many videos showing you how to do this on Youtube. -

Missing mesh, right? So I went into the SMC - Output folder, looked at what meshes were in ...\Modding Tools\Mod Organizer\mods\SMC - Output\textures\architecture\farmhouse\stonewall Only ivy and slaterock were in there. Looking at the Skyrim Landscape Overhaul - Stone Walls archive, looked in the archive and saw 2 meshes for rockwallrock3. Poped them in the SMC - Output folder and presto, beautifull rock walls, still with ivy :):) https://1drv.ms/i/s!ApiYZCxbbYgDhR7ElTNIvnU8SRj6 I guess the SMC proceed just missed them? Still don't know what I'm doing, but at least my stone walls look great again! Thanks for listening ;) -

Using MFG console, I picked a couple of IDs, such as 0001f214 and 000132b4. The StonewallEndR01Ivy [sTAT:000009A1] becomes YASH2_StonewallEndR01Ivy "Ivy" [TREE:7659F062] Not sure if these name would align with textures? Really don't know what I'm doing. I do want to learn to do this, but if someone could explain the procedure, it would help me quite a bit https://1drv.ms/i/s!ApiYZCxbbYgDhR2PqGptvPDw6sW1 -

Right, not recording should give me back some CPU. for the DoF, I actually really dislike the blur effect, really bothers me. Saw this on the internet, is this correct? What do you recommend to get rid of it? "In the SkyrimPrefs.ini is line called "fDynamicDOFBlurMultiplier" under [Display], which set to 0 (normal value is 0.8 ) should get rid of the dof.Edit: The setting bDoDepthOfField=0 under [imagespace] should have the same effect." I was familiar with Vividian from Neo's guide, seems like a nice natural look...although, it's been raining or snowing so far, always looking overcast...You have another to recommend? I have another question that perhaps you could help me with. When I was swiming in the water in the video after 17:00. The water textures got pretty funky. Is there a setting to help with that? -

Will try that later today when back from work. Using some logic (which very likely is flawed), this started with the beautification process as the stone walls are fine in the non beautification build. So, I will revalidate the merge steps I did for SLO - Stonewalls and the load order they are in. Then will install the MFG console and run a conflict looser with xedit and see what I can see... -

ok, walked, died and walked again to Riverwood. In the water, my FPS dropped to about 10-15 but otherwise wasn't too bad. But I think I found this really...interesting rock wall texture. While the video is uploading, I'll link the picture here... https://1drv.ms/i/s!ApiYZCxbbYgDhRujkoB-OUNGSscK Okay, would be great grapes to make a fine Riesling Wine, but I'm sure that wasn't the purpose :) If anyone would guide me on how to fix it. I'm pretty noob, so you'll have to type real slow.... Youtube video will be here when it's uploaded and processed. https://youtu.be/qAFochlREIE -

Hmmm, could it be because of the area I was in? Perhaps it will stutter as I move into busier places? Just be be clear, I am nowhere near 60 fps. More in the 30-40ish range outdoors. I'll play it a bit more if the kids give me my computer back. You have better specs than I have. Could the multi-threading be causing an impact? I believe you have double the threads I have. -

The Yash'd Beautified Build is completed. Ran the build, and it worked and looked great! :) Very happy! It's time to put some mileage on this build and check it out. One small request. Since looting female makes them quite nude, could you advise the adjustment I would have to make so that the females have undies like the men have. I'm not sure if my youngest son has figured that out but I'm sure he will! EDIT: not to mention the explaining I have to do when my wife walks by when I just have to have that piece of armour... Thx -

Set to Zero. Will get you a screenshot shortly. If I rerun it again, do I need to clear the cache in the editscripts? Edit: note that prior to the beautification process (ie SMC), I got Dyndolod to run successfully
