  1. Yep, this info belongs in the Hardware Guide. Anyone from the community can add it, and anyone from the community can edit it ;) Also, after looking further into SSD RAID, I have determined that there is almost no benefit to using SSD under RAID0, especially for people like me on SATA-300 (2.0). https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/ssd-raid-benchmark,3485.html https://www.tomshardware.com/forum/286489-32-raid
  2. Why remove Interface Key Tweaks? I think that this one is still relevant ...?
  3. We should remove roosters though for 2.2.6 (and any other problematic mods or 100% redundant mods ... feel free to add thise to the "Removed" secion of the OP). You guys know more about these than me at this point.
  4. Thanks for the helpful detail Quitch. This is the kind of help we need from the community ;) Thanks for recognizing that these edits needed to be applied WilliamImm.

  11. Again, not meaning to be a stick in the mud (I have been saying that a lot lately ... could it be true? :> I must also say that since our team is not in support of said memory "optimizers" per se, it would be misleading to the community to pick up the otherwise-worthy aptitude of GrandBulwark at this moment. I have honestly not read his guide, so it might be very useful other than this one piece. The recent silliness with Jason2112 (ATTK author) and his false claims and clearly less-than-gallant behaviors behind the curtains with Dark0ne one the Nexus and with our admin here have made us generally wary of folks promoting these methods ... not to say that GrandBulwark is not 100% well intentioned. Regardless, I don't want to spoil this thread with a OT debate (level-headed debaters please head over to the thread I linked above for that.) ... ... OK, back to the merits of Project Stability (a noble endeavor indeed).
  12. Frame rate definitely takes a hit, and AFAIK so does VRAM (although I cannot remember testing this explicitly, I feel like I have noticed this). Check Vond's post though, which seems to corroborate
  13. Yep, needs to be treated as a separate mod though, since that is how it is packaged.
  14. I agree with WiliamImm and torminater 100% on texture sizes. Interiors and large objects in exteriors are the only places where 2K+ textures should be used, no matter the VRAM capacity. Blame the 4 Gb cap and DX9, not yur well-intentioned video card. I'd like to see a compare of this versus AOF against the More Realistic Hair background (1k only).
  15. The potential bug is worse than no animation at all IMO. Not the mod's fault, but annoying to express it if it would otherwise be latent (i.e., this is why Bethesda does not 'fix', technically nothing is broken)
  16. Thanks again for doing this. I probably would have agreed to using either competing mod over vanilla had I sided with the masses ... both TTYM and FPM have some improvements in certain examples, but they both also have some really annoying messages too. I don't prefer the journal-like treatment of the interface in FPM, and TTYM uses thing like "I can't shout, I'm casting a spell!" ... this is not something the char would "announce" internally. I prefer the game telling me why I can't perform a particular action. Vanilla seems to have nothing downright silly, so I will not be using (or recommending) the two competing mods as an improvement over vanilla (I have seen enough). Curious to know your thoughts based on this compare so far.
  17. Not the cause of the game break, understood. However, is the game bug latent otherwise? IOW, does this mod (and Frostfall) trigger the latent bug to be expressed? If so, then this one is not for Core STEP. Again, not to be a stick in the mud, but we want simplicity and improvement without additional complications.
  18. This is preferable over Realistic Teeth, since this does not require a compat patch for proper animation it seems. Simple = good. Does SR use this? Any mod being used in SR that fits the STEP Mandate should be seriously considered for STEP ;)
  19. Does this have a measurable performance impact?
  20. Sorry to be a stick in the mud, but I really don't like the BCS textures at all. Vanilla are much better IMO. I like the BCS idea for adding book titles and other descriptors.
  21. I have my SSDs under RAID0 and try to keep them under 75% capacity
  22. Good points. Could you update the Dev Release thread OP with the proposed changes? Otherwise I will get to it eventually.
  23. Thanks for the input! We'll take a look.
