  1. I think you're right. I think it's just crossfire that doesn't work. Haven't had crossfire in a while though so I can't confirm.Regarding Borderless Window and those using CrossfireX: can anyone confirm that there are incompatibilities?
  2. Accepted for STEP v2.2.6
  3. Accepted for Performance STEP v2.2.6
  4. Core STEP will remain much as it is today, and it should be a relatively simple to follow along with the install (as simple as modding can be mad anyway). Additionally, there will be more flavors of STEP as well as more advanced versions of the STEP Guide(s). We will shortly roll out v2.2.6 minor release, but we are currently planning v3.0.0, which will be a paradigm shift, incorporating much of the excellent work of Neovalen's Skyrim Revisited. This is still in the project-scope phase though and may be preceded by several major releases (i.e., v2.x.x). We'll post an announcement when the plan is solidified. thanks
  5. I have no preference ... the extent of the color variation in both seems unrealistic IMO, and I'd be more attracted to something more muted.
  6. Thank you for your continued support Solist
  7. Sounds like a good option for Performance STEP.
  8. OK, so to confirm, using EBQO eliminates the 'need' for this mod entirely. This is officially dropped henceforth unless anyone has a good reason not to drop (i.e., save game issues).
  9. Could someone explain the benefits of these mods and of Skyrim Borderless Windows"? I assume performance enhancement, but I have no XP with this, since I run all of my games in fullscreen.
  10. Woops! I pasted the wrong link Here is the proper link ... and I also corrected my previous ;)
  11. We will not be doing both ... sorry. The forums were created to support STEP, and the SR forums were created to allow Neovalen the ability to get feedback on his project without making too big a splash in the STEP pool. What is occurring, however, is that the SR crowd --and all of the mod suggestions and testing that come with it-- has begun to take away from what we had intended to capture on the STEP forums. ANY mod can be suggested or added in the main STEP MS forum. It does not matter if it is acceptable to STEP or not. We have many mods out there that will never make it into Core STEP. All we are asking is that mod suggestions and comments on already-suggested mods be place out on the mod thread in the MS forum. This is Phase 1 of integrating Skyrim Revisited into the STEP fold. Think of Skyrim Revisited as an advanced STEP compilation consisting of Core STEP and several STEP Packs or a single Pack that is managed by Neovalen. Neo will continue to orchestrate the creative direction of SR-STEP (as will the SR community), but we have a much bigger picture for STEP and consequently SR (with Neo's cooperation, of course). There is an opportunity to create a lot more sophistication for mod management in general by combining these efforts. I created the SR forum and I am going to be integrating several aspects of this forum into STEP, whilst keeping SR distinct in the most important ways. Again, Neovalen will remain as the active and creative developer of SR mods and mod integration; however, Neo will also be an active member of the core STEP team in order to bring it all together. There will be a huge benefit to both projects, which really should not be considered distinct unless Neovalen expresses a desire to keep his project strictly distinct (which he has not thus far). It is a free country and a free internet, so we do not presume to dictate any project that is not our own to dictate. Nevertheless, as long as it is on this site, it is a part of the STEP project. We are a pretty fair lot, as I am sure that most of you know.@Statmonster Mod Testing (i.e., [ ACCEPTED ] [ DENIED ]Â tags) is now separated from the Mod Suggestions forum in a Mod Testing subforum. All SR mods not in STEP will have permanent threads within Mod Suggestions, and the tags will not apply. Eventually, all these mods will be expected to make it into the STEP Anthology beneath a SR-specific subforum of some kind (TBD). The beauty of Mod Suggestions forum is that each mod thread that points to the Anthology also points to the wiki and the Nexus and all relevant information pertaining to that mod. It keeps all mod-specific information tied together.
  12. FYI, Please see this thread. I'd like to merge this into that.
  13. I want to move all posts in this thread to the relevant thread in Mod Suggestions. This is just a forewarning, Thanks.
  14. Once again, I must ask that all mod suggestions be placed into the Mod Suggestions forum on STEP proper. We use MS to track details about all mods on this site, so any new mods suggested or any talk about specific mods should be place on the relevant MS thread ... or create the thread if it does not already exist. Thanks
  15. RTG and thus this mod have the glass too transparent, IMO. Thick glass like this will be somewhat transparent to light, but one should not be able to make our details through the thickened glass, especially where there are multiple facets or where the opposing facets are not parallel. I would go for translucency but not transparency.
  16. A good idea if the "conflicts" are benign in reality. One thing to note though is that any mod that adds characters to the world will tax performance, so it will need to be tested in this respect as well.
  17. Thanks for testing this Aiyen. I am anxious to get a comprehensive assessment from someone using this. It sounds like a winner.
  18. Fair enough ... maybe I should try it more often I suppose. I think that our first formal Pack should be a 3rd-person Pack then, as lots of people play this way, and many mods are specifically created for 3rd person; however, 3rd person will be more performance intensive as well as more plugin intensive, so it makes sense to make it an option rather than core. I think we should accept this mod for the 3rd-person Pack and ask the community to help us isolate all of the best 3rd-person specific mods out there that would work nicely with STEP.
  19. Thanks for confirming Omolong. Accepted for v2.2.6
  20. Yep, I think the scroll bar is also more prominent, no?
  21. Agree. this is why Packs are not around yet. STEP sort of needs to be more finalized before we go about adding modules that sit atop this kernel. ... and that means that the mods need to evolve a bit more in general (particularly lighting and weather). As long as NPCs are affected, any third-person mod should work out fine ... it's just that mods that are only apparent in the third person seem largely redundant for many users (I personally could not imagine playing in third person ... I want to BE the character, not the puppeteer). A third-person pack is thus ideal for those player types, as anything affecting first person affects third as well, but not the other way around.
  22. OK, need one more to confirm please. I will not be able to do so anytime soon ....
