Meager budget? You could join the dark side and buy a PS4... or save those pennies for the real experience on PC, :)

Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback
Neovalen replied to Neovalen's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
It's always better to not change anything during an actual playthrough. However, if there is something you absolutely want to update then make sure to read the upgrade instructions from the mod author very carefully. -
OP updated with the new trailer, looks amazing. Unfortunately, not game play but at least rendered in engine. Official site now open as well.

There are more high quality Star Wars titles in work, guaranteed. Disney gave EA a multi-title, multi-year exclusive right to Star Wars for Video Games.

My understanding it will focus mainly on the original trilogy and also have content from the new trilogy releasing Christmas this year. I do not believe anyone has found any rumors about the prequel trilogy as of yet, I'm sure we find out more tomorrow. I only live 30 minutes from the convention center this is being held at, I'm so tempted to buy a ticket as they will have closed booth game play for attendees... unfortunately it may end up in a divorce for me if I do.... :) Speaking of, the 2nd trailer for The Force Awakens was released today. Trailer #1: Trailer #2:

Why so much MO hate? (semi-rant)
Neovalen replied to Octopuss's topic in General Skyrim LE Discussion & Support
Being a mod maker, guide writer (SR:LE), and general user I completely agree with Kry here. MO is invaluable for testing new mods, creating mods (I have a development profile), and more without having 3 or more game installs. I will admit that some of my mods comment threads were flooded with MO questions but it has calmed down significantly in recent months. In the end, 99% of it was RTFM moments the user figured out shortly after posting. I believe due to the work here on STEP, plus the dedicated work of some youtubers MO is becoming more mainstream and I view this as a good thing. As for other mod management tools, I can't even count how many times I needed to reinstall the game due to nmm or wrye leaving files behind in the data folder, getting corrupted, etc. In the end, ALL tools have their quirks and bugs but at least with MO I don't have to reinstall when something goes wrong. Not to mention it is a lot less wear on my hard drive to not physically copy/move files when I change install order. I do take offense at the hit squad line of inquiry and I'm not even a staff member here, just a long time member. There is no such entity, just individual users as any community. I do hope that in the future exchanges are more civil between this site and AFK mods as i respect both sides. I also hope that the bashing against MO calms down, as I think big red lettering goes a bit far. -

I do not get it guys... I've tried regenerating DynDOLOD and still nothing in my overwrite. Not sure what you guys are doing different. -
Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback
Neovalen replied to Neovalen's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
I kinda stopped mid way since Inquisition came out, then I wanted to finish Tomb Raider, and now I'm doing my first Witcher playthrough and playing Battlefield... last I recall the DA guide was still a good starting point tho. -
Save, Reload fix it? Have you bathed recently?

Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback
Neovalen replied to Neovalen's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
Weird.... no idea. All my json files were in the output folder. Campfires looks good, nice that it's extendable by other modders. Won't be trying it until FF 3.0 though. FF adds too much to let it go. :) -
Dynamic Distant Objects LOD - pre 2.xx
Neovalen replied to sheson's question in DynDOLOD & xLODGen Support
I meant to the latest SVN version... it's required for DynDOLOD. Link on SR:LE tools section. -
Dynamic Distant Objects LOD - pre 2.xx
Neovalen replied to sheson's question in DynDOLOD & xLODGen Support
Just a quick question, did you update TES5Edit? -
Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback
Neovalen replied to Neovalen's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
Interesting, I didn't have anything show up in my overwrite. When I updated I cleared the output mod in mo, deleted the TES5Edit cache, and reinstalled the base mod from scratch. RS is also short for Relighting Skyrim. :) Also RS kids, Real Shelter, among others... lol. -
Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback
Neovalen replied to Neovalen's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
In that case it would be silly for me to look at it now. :) In all seriousness though, don't think there will be any major changes from the version currently up, if any. -
I figure some people besides me are going to be playing / replaying the Witcher series before May 19, 2015. Therefore, I figured I'd post the mods I'm using in case its helpful to anyone else looking to do a playthrough. Bug Fixes: * Celina Wreath Fix * Missing Kalkstein and Leuvaarden Clues Fix Convenience: * Plentiful Herbs / Even More Herbs * Leuvaarden buys Salamandra Badges Immersion / Realism: * Fair Kalkstein * Sex Takes Time Gameplay: * Full Combat Rebalance (Basic install using Hard Difficulty Pack without Ecology enabled) Graphics: * Texturen Mod * Hires Character Models * Rise of the White Wolf (FCR Compatible) * Scabbard Mod (EE + FCR) * Perfect Rain So far really enjoying it, combat was boring before I installed the full combat rebalance... now its just really hard but doable with preparation. :) Doing a mostly blind playthrough on "Hard" difficulty with FCR. (That is the lowest setting of the hard difficulty pack.) Just finished Prologue and Chapter 1, so no spoilers please. :) Edit: If anyone has a list of any essential / needed Witcher 2 mods please feel free to chime in with those too so I don't have to go searching forever before the next game.

Distant Ice Floe Missing Water Texture
Neovalen replied to hazelwolf's question in General Skyrim LE Support
I think he posted about this BEFORE DynDOLOD was added... in a different thread. -
(Not) using "Auto Unequip Ammo" mod.
Neovalen replied to sketchglitch's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Nope, no dependencies. :) Just skip it. -
Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback
Neovalen replied to Neovalen's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
Conflict Resolution should be before bashed patch and DynDOLOD.esp and RSShelter.esp are directly below bashed patch. Assuming you input all the rules properly in BUM. I can definitely tell the difference, objects that previously were invisible are now visible. My understanding is DynDOLOD does provide some culling for behind mountains... but I could be wrong on that. -
ACCEPTED Relighting Skyrim (by NovakDalton and JawZ)
Neovalen replied to z929669's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
There is also the IL only version of ELE which changes the interior ambient but not the bulb colors. It's more out of date however, so better to take the full then delete the light records if going that way.
