What FPS should I be aiming for?
Neovalen replied to TuxThePenguin's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
On my rig I'm running 1600p and my fps is about 40-60 in low traffic areas... into the low 30's sometimes in very taxing areas. I would definitely get a 780Ti at least if your running this resolution. I'd expect 1080p to be much less taxing. -
You can try the new recommended ENB which is Vividian ENB, it doesn't have as big of a performance hit as Unreal did. Not sure how a 7850 will react though. :)

Wasn't planning on it as i play full screen. I believe enb has borderless full screen capability too. I believe he us getting this effect through the SKSE 1.7 alpha build. This. SSME is redundant with SKSE alpha. Sent from my XT907 using Tapatalk -
Book Covers Skyrim - Lost Library

I think skill books should definitely be included from previous titles and they should still give skill. I would say #3. Sent from my XT907 using Tapatalk -

Its because its java based. Make a shortcut then use run as admin. Sent from my XT907 using Tapatalk -
I posted this in various threads already but Vividian is my favorite ENB out of all the CoT presets. Sent from my XT907 using Tapatalk

1. Not a problem if your using Skyrim Coin Replacer Redux which loads later. If your not using it then you should fix it. :)2 and 3. Not an issue.

That's what I get for using my cell to edit... lol. I will fix it tonight but at least not a critical problem. P.S. Are mod authors off work lately? The update rate is crazy! Sent from my XT907 using Tapatalk -

Damn I must have been tired... lol. Fixed now. Sent from my XT907 using Tapatalk -
You can ignore this one. Kry worked with the IA team to ensure compatibility. Iirc those values get set via mcm in any case. Will look tonight when I get home... FIXED.

Ask an expert, but what i do, is rename the DLC compatibility patch and place it immediately after in the load order. Would be nice if we get an answer to this question, as i am concerned as you if i did something wrong :P Personally optionals I put into a separate mod line but updates get merged. This just makes it easier if a main mod is updated but the optionals don't need updates but does clutter the interface some. It also helps keep track of what is all installed for options if I want to try disabling one. Sent from my XT907 using Tapatalk -

As I was thinking I forgot RND also does a bit of cooking overhaul as well... Sent from my XT907 using Tapatalk

The other thing missing is food != poor mans potion. RND removes most of the various food buffs. Sent from my XT907 using Tapatalk

ACCEPTED Static Mesh Improvement Mod - SMIM (by Brumbek)
Neovalen replied to z929669's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
My opinion is sails, two reasons: 1) More realistic and true to how windmills work. 2) No texture/aa shimmer. -

No, because there are still png files for book art and other stuff still in there that is not covered by the optimization. (purposefully so) Looks interesting, will need to see how it develops over time. Not willing to "jump ship" so easily as RND has other features I like and more upcoming. I do like the SkyUI widget and follower needs tracking though... maybe RND can implement similar in time. -
Wet and Cold - Holidays by Isoku An addon for Wet and Cold, which makes use of Wet and Cold's features to spread holiday cheer throughout Skyrim. Villages/cities will visually change as holidays based on TES lore--some of which may have been initially planned by Bethesda based on strings found in the CK--come and go. NPCs will also react to these changes by attending various events appropriate for the holiday. If you'd like to experience the in-game holidays along with the real world, it is possible force any holiday, any day, for as long as you'd like through SkyUI's MCM. Install, update, troubleshooting, etc. instructions are identical to the Wet and Cold mod. Do not uninstall while a holiday is active. Holidays: From festive lanterns to fireworks, a list of currently implemented holidays and their basic effects in-game can be found here. You will be given notice of upcoming holidays through flyers from the courier and/or through a monthly events letter at the bar in each city tavern. Holiday Gear: [sKSE] NPCs will equip various items depending on the holiday. Currently implemented gear: Saturalia hats during Saturalia, Jester's Day costumes during Jester's Day, New Life Bandanas during the New Life Festival and practice weapons during the Warriors Festival. Go Celebrate!: A city's/village's NPCs will celebrate in temples, shops, inns and/or outside depending on the holiday. Merchants/laborers may retire early in order to attend events. All cities and villages in Skyrim will have NPCs who celebrate provided the settlement has the specific location required for the holiday (e.g. the Mid Year Celebration has NPCs gathering in temples and outside that day. Since Riverwood does not have a temple, Riverwood's NPCs will only celebrate outside on this holiday). Since this feature may interfere with some NPC quest scenes, you can A. bother them later (let them relax it's a holiday!) or B. temporarily disable this feature when needed. Notes: A "Festivals of Skyrim" book detailing all non-dynamic holidays in this mod has been added to the book clutter leveled list. It has a low chance of appearing in various locations throughout Skyrim. Useful if you do not have SkyUI/MCM or prefer reading about the holidays from a book. After the Battle of Whiterun, this mod will be disabled until the civil war is completed. However, this can be overridden using the override feature at your own discretion. All times listed are estimates. NPC travel time should be taken into account. Inhabitants of a location selected to attend an event are randomly redrawn every 2 in-game hours. After 5 PM the attendee list stabilizes. Winterhold does not hold any celebrations. Saturalia decorations will appear on Whiterun's Gildergreen only when it is fully grown and healthy. "A New Life Carol" book series (5 total) are a Skyrim adaptation of Dickens' "A Christmas Carol" by princess_stomper and can be found during the Saturalia decorations season. Randomized Start Date: If starting a new game, you will have the option to randomize the month, day and/or time your adventure begins. Compatible with Alternate Start - Live Another Life, Skyrim Unbound and Random Alternate Start.

Fixed Typo. As for the memory setting... 2000 won't "hurt" but it should be ^2 to use all the available memory. Basically your ignoring 48 MB of video memory leaving it as 2000. -

Big news of the day, SR:LE has a new recommended ENB: Vividian - Weather - Lighting and Climates of Tamriel Enhancement. I think you will find this ENB has a lower performance hit and is specifically designed with CoT in mind. I've been having a blast playing with it enabled recently. Some possible tweaks to come (likely the DoF will change) but it's enough to get started with it. I will also be integrating ELE interior lighting but it will be a bit before I add it due to conflict resolutions, so be patient. :) -
