Where in the Install Order do I put the Particle Patch?
DoYouEvenModBro replied to DoYouEvenModBro's question in Post-Processing Support
If we find meshes from the Particle Patch that should not be used or that should be overwritten by other mods, we should add a description detailing them in the ENB Guide. -

Taken from https://enbseries.enbdev.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=1499 "NOTE to users of Ultimate HD Fire Effects by BuzzDee84: Install Ultimate HD Fire Effects after my particle patch, overwriting my files when asked." Was Ultimate HD Fire Effects recently updated with the meshes? -

DoYouEvenModBro replied to DoYouEvenModBro's question in Post-Processing Support
Apparently Ultimate HD Fire Effects is supposed to OverWrite the Particle Patch as well. In that case, should I just put it first in the install order? Seems like most water and landscape mods already include the fixed meshes anyway. -

If we are using Regular Edition v186, which 2048 LOD file do we download if we want 2k LODs instead of 4k? The only 2k LOD file is for Regular v179e. Is this going to be updated? -
I've seen a ton of conflicting information. Some sources say to install it at the end, some say to install it first thing. Some say that if you use a water mod, you need to install it after the water mod (apparently W.A.T.E.R. already includes it?). Just wondering exactly where I am supposed to install this.Â

I'm currently using Audio Technica ATH-M50 monitor headphones. It's not open back but it still sounds pretty sweet with 5.1 surround sound through my sound card.

pack Weather and Lighting (by Smile44)

Ok then. Smiles, you should put a note. Realvision might have turned off ENB RAIN by default but other ENBs come with it on. Also, what is the deal with Expanded Snow Systems? It says it requires Dawnguard in the description underneath each file! -

[RAIN]Enable=true EnableAntialiasing=false EnableSupersampling=true MotionStretch=0.5 MotionTransparency=0.625 That's why Project ENB with Full Graphics Performance Option has its [RAIN] section set at. It looks like anti aliasing is turned off but supersampling is on. I still don't like how it looks. In order to use the Raindrops from CoT Patch, I have to have this disabled, right? It might be worth mentioning in the pack to turn this off, Smiles. -
Dweedle, as far as I'm concerned, Microstutter is something that happens with all Fallout and TES games, even with vanilla. I've played Fallout and Skyrim on both Nvidia and AMD and I've always had some degree of Microstutter. One thing that might help is different combinations of Vsync (Drivers and/or ENB). For example, if I force vsync on in my drivers and enb, I get TERRIBLE microstutter, but it gets a ton better when I only force it from ENB. Just try different vsync options until it gets better.

If I want to use the rain from the CoT Weather Patch, do I need to turn rain off in the enberies.ini? Also, why does it say DawnGuard is required if it isn't? Is it only that one patch that requires it? -
It is listed under the first step for both presets. Your eyes are tired Bro' date=' go to sleep. :P[/quote'] My fault. It's actually 11:27 a.m. here lol

Smile, are you using ENB Rain? I usually disable it since it makes the drops look huge and weird. Also, does Expanded Snow Systems for CoT require DawnGuard? I don't have DawnGuard but I'm not getting any missing master errors with it installed... -

Oh god. Now we have to wait for all the ENBs to be updated for this new version. Unless it didn't change much. -

If you use Recolored Basic for 181b (works fine for all Basic versions), you will overwrite the LOD as well as two snowy pines diffuse maps. I made those two diffuse maps a bit whiter and reduced the yellow tint a bit to blend better with the LOD and to look a bit 'snowier' overall. So if you overwrite Hi-Res Pines with Recolored, you will lose Hi-Res snowy pines and go back to the standard res for those. I would advise against Hi-Res Pines unless you are not installing many other mods, as this is quite taxing and largely defeats the purpose of using Basic. Alternatively, you could delete the snowy pines from Recolored, and you will get hi res versions, but they will be yellow-ish against the snowy-pine LOD (ENB will likely exacerbate). I can create the hi-res recolored as well though. Just not at the moment ;) I know that high-res pines are taxing on my system but I love them and have always used them. They just add immersion for me. What if I overwrite the recolored pines/lods with high-res pines? Not sure. I have never looked at Hi-res Pines against any LOD.When you say that I lose the hi-res snowy pines, do you mean that I lose them in only the LoDs? Or on every tree?I just looked at Hi-Res Pines (4k & 8k), and they deo not conflict at all with the Recolored textures. Hi-Res only affects the non-snowy pines, so your snowy pines are coming from Basic or Regular version. Recolored should be fully compatible if Hi_Res is based on same source as the current Regular and Basic versions. So in that case I guess the install order doesn't matter. -

I have a non-grass on steroids related question. Both the recommended optional 181b Recolored Pines/Lods and the optional High-Res Pines (i'm using 4k) file have the texture "TreePineForrestBranchComp.dds" Which one should overwrite which? Does it matter? -

Well regardless, it doesn't really matter because you can't use it currently with Vurt's new versions of SFO. I personally never noticed the plants being that tall with Grass on Steroids natural version for SFO (grass value of 75) and SFO v181b so I'm very confused. -

um, he has raised the grass density from as low as 30 (it's usually as high as i go, sometimes lower, sometimes slightly higher) to 255(!) in the editor. That's a whole lot of more grass, so it makes no sense that there would be any kind of FPS boost with this mod and that extreme amount of grass (and my test shows it too, there's no boost). But again, for visual preference, people obviously have different taste, if you're not interested in getting a natural look and you want tree-like plants then i absolutely won't stop you.. i guess it's kind of cool in a fantasy type of way... you're missing out on many of the smaller plants though, good luck seeing the rather flat groundcovers, for example. I don't remember his mod causing giant plants. Did that happen with older versions of your mod? Or is that what happens with the new ones? Which version of his mod are you looking at? He has different ones. I was using v2.0b natural edition for SFO.
