DROPPED Intricate Spider Webs (by isoku)
DoYouEvenModBro replied to stoppingby4now's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Can this mod be combined with WEBS Extended? https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/48538/? If so, which mod should be installed first? -
Yes it should be safe, just read the readme about updating. create a clean interior save. What is wrong with a FOMOD? You can if you want install everything manual, it is just more time-consuming. Best, Sounds good. I didn't mean that the FOMOD is bad. I meant to ask the question such as "which file do we need? the FOMOD one?" I can see now that the FOMOD contains all the optionals so yes, the FOMOD is the best. I should have looked at that before asking the question. Thanks for finally updating this Salvador. I know you've been busy with a lot of things. We all appreciate it.Â

Ok I got ugrids at 7 by making the change in the ini instead of through the console command. Only cost like 1-2 fps.
-
Yea. I was dping it ingame. Ill try out of game. I wish I knew the best value. Default is probably fine.
-
Hmmm. Are you using Safety Load and/or Cell Stabilizer? Perhaps it's the Safety Load + Memory Patch 3.0 combo that's bad.
-
Idk how you guys got ugrids 7,11, and above to work. I tried changing the ugrids to 7 in game looking out above the entrance to dragonsreach. I did that, launched the map to refresh, and the game crashed. Also same thing happened in another location. i'm using this patch, cell stabalizer, safety load 1.1, and obviously enboost. Seems like the fps hit from going from 5 to 7 wouldn't have been noticeable. Too bad :-/.

Not sure if this is repetitive or informative, but I'm running Skyrim with an R9 290 4GB card with Xtreme step (like, literally the highest res textures possible for every single mod, no optimizing, no ddsopt, etc. I'm evening running Skyrim Flora Overhaul 4K Pines (which no one here uses I dont think except me)) with Prod's Serenity ENB 045. I played a few hours today. Ran, fast traveled across the entire map multiple times and had no ILS or CTD. Even ran into some combat situations. Just note, I'm combining this patch with Safety Load 1.1. I just wanted to give my experience. Resolution is 1080p btw.

I've been using this mod for a while and it's a clear improvement over vanilla. I think NEO recommends the 2k Less Ash - Dense Version or something like that, with the Sulfar Rocks add-on. I believe that is the best looking one. And yea, you can't tell the difference when going from 2k to 4k but you definitely can when going from 1k to 2k.

So basically I should be able to run ugrids 7 or 9 with absolutely no problem with this patch right? And I mean along with a step 2.2.7 install.

SKYRIMLE Skyrim Realistic Texture Overhaul Dragonborn
DoYouEvenModBro replied to Smile44's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I personally edited the SRTO Dragonborn file to ONLY include just that one stairs texture (and normal). I have to agree with DoubleYou in this case. If a crappy texture pack has strong points, those strong points should be utilized. At least for a simplified case such as my example. If you're combining specific textures from 3 different packs, then yea, it can get messy. Maybe we could put together some sort of combiner and host it with all two/three? author's permissions. -
Is it normal for Skyrim to take a longer than usual amount of time to start with this launcher?

ACCEPTED Skyrim Realistic Overhaul (by Starac)
DoYouEvenModBro replied to z929669's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Not that I should be talking (I always fail to find previous answers) but this has been asked several times. I think there's even a few links in THIS thread....but visit NEO's Skyrim Revisited: Legendary Guide. He has a link for an optimized 1k-2k version. Link to Guide: https://wiki.step-project.com/User:Neovalen/Skyrim_Revisited_-_Legendary_Edition OR You can just type "torrent Skyrim Realistic Overhaul 2048k (or 1024k)" into Google :-/" There are plenty of torrent files and direct downloads.- 425 replies

SKYRIMLE Skyrim Realistic Texture Overhaul Dragonborn
DoYouEvenModBro replied to Smile44's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Oh ok. Sorry to bring that up here then. There is no BCF equivalent for MO? (I've been using Wrye Bash this entire time since it's just familiar). -
DROPPED aMidianBorn Solstheim Landscape (by CaBaL)
DoYouEvenModBro replied to rootsrat's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Unfortunately (and I guess also fortunately for the modders?), each mod has it's strengths and weaknesses in different areas. I feel like a bit of a mix and match will be needed to get the best effect. This might just come down to a matter of preference. Idk. What do you guys think after seeing all 4 side by side? -
SKYRIMLE Skyrim Realistic Texture Overhaul Dragonborn
DoYouEvenModBro replied to Smile44's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
We just need some SeriousHD screen comparisons then, right? Then we should have everything? Also, isn't that one of the reasons that BCFs are created for? To include only certain files without manual deletion? -
SKYRIMLE Skyrim Realistic Texture Overhaul Dragonborn

Are you saying Telvanni Redone doesn't touch the mushrooms? I could have sworn they did. Woops. It's probably just the same thing. Slightly clearer and darker. -

No one did a comparison of the Telvanni mushrooms (correct me if I'm wrong). I think Telvanni hits that too. -

I do have to agree that the Telvanni stairs are the best with SRTO. I forgot to mention that. That's really the only one that I like better. -
SKYRIMLE Skyrim Realistic Texture Overhaul Dragonborn
DoYouEvenModBro replied to Smile44's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I feel like Skyrim Realistic Texture Overhaul just kind of makes the the textures muddier. Like I can tell it improves the meshes but it looks too dark and "muddy" and shadowed. Does that make sense? -
Thank you all for your patience with me. NEO, thank you especially for your quick replies and helpful answers. One thing I love about your Skyrim Revisited Guide is the level of clarity and methodological descriptiveness for not only experienced modders, but less experienced ones such as myself. This is NOT a jab at the S.T.E.P. authors in any way, but sometimes I feel that Skyrim Revisited is written better and more clearly than S.T.E.P. is. I hope that NEO helps out with the language in the S.T.E.P. guide or could act as an assistant editor. Again, this is not a jab at S.T.E.P. in any way. Both guides are great and I use both equally. Anyway.....I have gone way off topic and I will refrain from posting here again unless it is relevant to the guide. Again, thank you to NEO, the S.T.E.P. authors and the Guide users who have continuously answered my questions! :-D.

Neo, did you remove Safety Load in SR:L because of this? Are you going to add a section on this mod? I've read through this thread and am now very confused as to which file is the right one/most updated to download and which, if any, skse tweaks to make :-(. This thread flows too quickly for me to follow. I also feel bad asking for help all the time in here. Neo, if you aren't too busy, could you pm me with ssome assistance? If not, it's ok. Thanks.
