  1. Discussion thread: Project Parallax-Markarth by Osmodius Wiki Link Osmodius strikes again! More realistic depth and texture for Markarth, compatibility versions coming soon.
  2. Don't worry about the code than, just check out ahc and wait for elbe's next release to get into the testing.
  3. Difficult acronym AHC everyone keeps getting it wrong, probably cause we can't remember what it stands for lol.
  4. It's not actually 2.1.2 (still 2.1.1b) yet as I ran into those errors before I had a chance to really get into upgrading it to the next version. So you can include it in any new beta release you do (but you or I should fix the out of order stuff and any other problems you've found first.)
  5. I've been waiting for either an import from csv function (preferred) or an update to the editor, so I don't have to edit the xml in Notepad++ and possibly break it wasting hours of work. Looks like it may be another week, I'll use the time to work on the new version of STEP.
  6. Start up a new thread for it on release to minimize confusion please.
  7. Updated name and category. Added some content and gave it its own tab on the main page.
  8. Discussion topic: Community Citizenship Guide A guide detailing our philosophy, guidelines, and recommended best practices for contributing to our community.
  9. That works great, thanks will use that for now. I still want this beautiful site we have here to be used to the fullest though, but I am patient kinda I see the difference clearly now, foreground (hanging leaves) still looks slightly better in 1st one in my opinion but the mipmaps (branches) are radically improved in the second. Overall a pretty substantial improvement, the trees are definitely not Aspens though (those are the gorgeous trees outside of riften).
  10. Sadly this method of comparison is completely useless to me, it takes me 5 seconds of loading then 2 seconds of white and then the next image loads. I'll get a tutorial of how to properly do comparison images (for the poor bastards with a crappy internet and/or computer) up on the testing guide first thing. :P
  11. That first picture looks quite a bit more full than the second, you sure you didn't reverse them?
  12. Let's finish the testing guide before moving on to other projects please. :D SMAA is a separate mod and has its own toggle key. Check the ini I forget what it is by default.
  13. We'll need testers for the next beta release. Probably this weekend.
  14. I'm only using smaa and no other aa, and testing with a clean install with just vibrancy mods and USKP. I am also doing my testing as an average fps from new game start up to just before entering the helgen dungeons, its an extremely good place to test as it includes so many scripts and effects running at once. I need to rerun it for version 4 and using 2 full runthroughs one vanilla and one vibrancy to compare properly.
  15. What's to know? Move archives into your bash installs folder, run bash, click files and select install. The only thing really new is that the order your mods are listed in Bash really matters, but thats pretty easy to understand. Whats intimidating for new users is the vast amount of information available to them, but you quickly come to depend on having that information and realize how blindly you were fumbling about before you had it :D NMM is to Rotary Phone your grandma uses as Wrye Bash is to Smartphone, theres a learning curve but the advantages become clear pretty quickly and you will never go back.
  16. Discussion thread: Mod Organizer Guide by DoubleYou & Step Modifications Wiki Link --> DOCUMENTATION UPDATE TOPIC This thread is for discussion and improvement of the Mod Organizer Guide on the wiki. This thread is for discussion of the Mod Organizer Guide, and should NOT be used for support/troubleshooting. Please use the Official Support Forum for support/troubleshooting.
  17. Yeah small problem, but not something you'd generally encounter so tough to test. I ran into it when uninstalling Skyrim without first enabling updates again and then reinstalling Skyrim . I should probably add that to the wiki as a best practice even though you've solved it now. :D
  18. Best advice I can give you is just stick with STEP mods and always follow the clean save routine when adding, upgrading, or removing mods from your game. But mods themselves are gonna break when 1.6 goes live and they will break again when dawngaurd is released for PC in July, XBox gets it exclusive before any other platform on June 26th. No way to prepare for that stuff, just gotta wait for mod authors to fix the compatibility issues and that takes time.
  19. Skyrim Unplugged.7z will be fine, nexus appends more data to the name like nexus number and version (if you fill out the upload forms anyway), just avoid using numbers or dashes and you'll be fine.
  20. Take all the loose files in the landscape directory (no directories) and from the roads directory take the snow files. Do the same for update 1.3
  21. These types of questions will be answered when the testing routine is formalized and wikified. Thread here.
  22. Yeah updating anything at this point is kind of useless, they are releasing 3 updates a day with some fairly substantial changes. Summer break inspiration :D
  23. I may wait for the new version of ddsopt to be released officially and the new version of DLC tweaks which is WIP ( or your version also WIP). Lot's of stuff going on.
  24. I was a bit rushed I forgot the wizard, will add that. The ddsopt section with be a 4th option, I didn't have time for that yet, next week. It will include all the optional goodies your missing :D
  25. check this thread for why your ram is completely useless and how to change that
