Yeah the game engine is now hardcoded to load skyrim.esm and update.esm at 00 and 01 on the mod list and as always the savegame is loaded last as FF. There are also new files at C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Skyrim that hold your loadorder information, plugins.txt is the one the engine uses to load all mods assigning each one a hex value as it goes down the list (with the inclusion of the hardcoded stuff above that allows for 252 mods). Now you are up to date on the tech stuff :D

Keep in mind that the bashed patch functionality is extremely minimal at this point compared to Oblivion so it wouldn't surprise me if those record types simply aren't supported yet. It is currently being redone from scratch by Plutoman using java so in a month or so we may have a completely skyrim friendly patcher :D

TES Texture Pack Merging Utility This program compares 3 different directories of graphics and gives a visual choice of each conflicting graphic so you can decide on which you want to install over the others. Tested and approved, works beautifully. Z this ones for youÂ

Black Circles, z-fighting and texture shimmering
frihyland replied to torminater's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Its caused by all the textures dynamically caching from your harddrive to memory to vram as your line of sight changes, you can lower your ugrids to 5 and your field of view to 65 to reduce the drop but that introduces other problems. You can also use an SSD to run Skyrim from or Increase your RAM and run it from a ramdrive, but its a pretty small problem to buy new hardware to fix. Try running around in the outskirts of Whiterun (not inside the city) while testing your ugrids and fov values, you will find you need to lower them quite a bit to maintain fps. -
Recommended upgrades for Skyirm with STEP

Here's the cheapest motherboard I could find that would properly support your videocard investment. (You want x16/x16 pci3 support). And heres a power supply that could feed that SLI. -

The general recommendation is that if you already have an overclockable sandy bridge there is absolutely no reason to buy an ivy bridge, any pre sandy bridge chips could receive substantial benefit from an upgrade. -
The latest version of Ruins Clutter includes 2 of the 3 missing texture mods so its not so big a loss.

Not likely, adding an object is the safest thing you can do really, editing gets more dangerous depending on what your changing, and deleting of course is outright bad.

Morrowloot Remove high level random items from the leveled lists and hand places them in various locations in game instead. Also adds several TES artifacts to Skyrim again all hand placed :D

Yeah it depends on the cpu and motherboard really, there are a lot of options out there these days for overclocking. -
Tool for monitoring internet access by programs?
frihyland replied to torminater's topic in Step Banter Inn
Just get yourself a good firewall, there's hundreds to choose from, sounds like you want one with a good logging feature. -
DROPPED Dungeon Quest Awareness (by Darkwolfn1)
frihyland replied to Farlo's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Good find, clearing out a dungeon before receiving the quest almost always breaks it so this is useful. -

RAM is super cheap here's some good choices at the $50 range If your not gonna overclock your CPU get this lower CAS is better, if you are gonna overclock get this more speed is better. Â And if you got the cash get 2 sets, 16GB will give you more options for a pretty reasonable price. -
It is gorgeous like all his work and looks like its a skyrim native as well.

Sounds like you followed the guide and wiki as intended, as long as everything was ordered correctly in Wrye Smash you can install the whole damn thing in one click. As for ahc give it another week or 2 and we'll have something worthwhile to use. Don't bet on any in depth documentation until pretty far down the road if you want to make your own custom xml lists, but we'll include a premade STEP xml for general use.

Theres a wiki page on this subject as well as quite a few threads if you search. -
I like the live action costumed rp, never played the pc version or even heard of it really :P I'd love to play a well made vampire game though, I am pretty unsure of how dawnguard is gonna go, but the best vampire game I have played ever so far was Morrowind.

ACCEPTED Lanterns of Skyrim - All In One (by MannyGT)
frihyland replied to frihyland's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
You can do that yourself with a custom esp, that's the point. -
Discussion thread: Lanterns of Skyrim by MannyGT Wiki Link Lanterns of Skyrim - All In One Great concept and I've been following his individual mods with interest. This one finally did it for me, its an esm and comes with 5 esp presets and instructions to make your own esp preset for the exact experience you want. The default without any esp preset is Oblivion lighting.

I'm only using the texture overhauls and packs from the S.T.E.P. v2.1.1b guide.I think only WATER from STEP needs to be avoided, their might be 1 or 2 more, I defer to Z.

The actual mechanics of everything is completely new, just the design is based off Morrowind and Oblivion then later updated to Skyrim. Â I am really liking their concepts for gameplay and loot, they haven't really discussed how they are handling economics yet.
