Thank you for the replies, Kelmych and Brainfever. 30 installs? Wow, I admire your patience . My current problems seem to go far beyond UI it seems. Yes, Brainfever, when I say that MO profiles get corrupted, I mean that they work for a while and after I get "Fallout has stopped responding". Initially, I fixed that by returning to the default profile, which had the original esm's, and activating and ordering all the mods in the left panel. And the game worked fine, for about one hour and a half. But then I deactivated ahud, to see if that fixes the missing compass, and I again get "Fallout has stopped responding", even if I reactivate ahud. And it seems that all profiles are affected now, even the default  I think maybe the only solution is to completely reinstall, but I don't have the energy to do that right now, especially since at the end I might have the same weird MO problem. Maybe in a couple of weeks.

Maybe I found a sort of clue, but I'm not sure. In MO I use three profiles: Default, which was there before starting with the modding, Vanilla Fallout which has the optimized textures, and Clear and Present Danger which has all mods. Of these three, with Default I can start the game. And it seems to work fine. Can this help me in some way? Edit: Solved it!!! It seems that MO got all the profiles corrupted except Default, somehow. Starting from Default, I made new profiles, activated the mods, and now it works! Thank you very much for the awesome guide, Kelmych! I was worried that I wouldn't get the chance to play it, but it seems I was lucky Edit 2: Okay, it seems I can play normally, with few problems noticed so far, like invisible hands when wearing certain suits. That's not necesarily a big problem. My biggest problem is that I can't see the compass/health/ap, no matter how I try to set up ahud and ihud

Okay, I managed to reach the end of the guide, I thought everything was going to be all right, but once I started up the game at the end I got "Fallout 3 has stopped working". I thought that maybe a mod is to blame, so I started disabling mods in groups of ten. But I reached the end of all the mods and the game still doesn't start. I don't get it... it worked after the first test. Now it doesn't work even if I try to run the game without any mods . Can you please help me? I have no idea what to do ...

Well, the original Calibr.esm exists from FWE, ofc. The problem I mentioned is that there is no Calibr.esm in the xcalibr installed mod, only xcalibr.esm. But since you say that I can keep xcalibr.esm in place, next to calibr.esm from FWE, then everything is clear now. Thank you

Okay, I will try to find the problem with the optimized textures later. For now, I found a confusing step in the guide, in the eXcalibr - ammo expansion mod. You say there to "Double click the mod in the left pane of MO and move CALIBR.esm to Optional ESPs; FWE provides this plugin." But there isn't any calibr.esm. Its only xcalibr.esm, and the 20th century weapons patch depends on it. What do I do now? Do I keep both calibr.esm and xcalibr.esm?

So I started the install, but at the first A-Okay check, I encountered the first major problem, with the game not responding after walking for a few seconds inside the room of selection of the Alternate start for FWE. After testing, this happens every time, in 5-7 seconds game freezes and not responding. And after even more testing, I discovered that the likely culprit is one of the optimized vanilla texture packs, but I don't know which or why :( . So much time wasted in optimizing them for nothing apparently.

Okay, time has to come to start the install . By the way, thank you very much for the guide, Kelmych! Its a mod players dream come true

Well, the Perma version now is 1.3.2, and it was pretty stable since 1.2. I play with STEP expanded + almost all the mods that have patches from PCaPP + a few others that are in this guide and some extra recomandations for enhanced AI made by T3nd0, and encountered no serious bugs after tens of hours of play. Only some Perma Perks have problems sometimes, but its only related to perma, not incompatibilities. Perma was made to be as compatible as possible, not like Skyre. -
GUIDE Mythic Dawn: Gateway to Oblivion WIP
dreamer1986 replied to hishutup's topic in Oblivion - Mythic Dawn
Actually, I did install the game with this guide, and played quite a bit :D . But I wanted to play Nehrim, and was thinking about uninstalling the game, and reinstalling it for Nehrim. But I simply made a backup of the game, and now I can enjoy Nehrim, and get back to playing Mythic Dawn when I'm done :) . -

I'm curious, are you planning on changing the guide significantly in the future, in such a way that we would need to make a fresh install? I'm looking for an excuse to reinstall the game so I could install Nehrim Edit: Actually, I made a backup of the whole Oblivion folder and the documents folder, so its safe for me to reinstall -

Thank you for the detailed answer, Geheiligt :) . If you like Apocalypse, which is awesome, you might also like other mods made by EnaiSiaion, which are also great, like Dwemertech, Spectraverse, and the ultimate new shouts mod, Thunderchild. -

Thank you as well. And did you install other mods recommended by Tend0 and made compatible with PCaPP? Like Obis, Civil War Overhaul, Enemy AI overhaul, Skyrim Immersive Creatures, Deadly Dragons, Apocalypse Spell Package, and others like it... -

I am curious, has anyone verified if Perkus Maximus is compatible with the mods from Skyrim Revised? I play Perkus Maximus and a few AI and combat enhancing mods with the complete STEP, and encountered no problems, but this guide is bigger from what I see, so conflicts might exist. Edit: Sorry for hijacking this thread, I thought it was a general Q&A, my bad. Still, maybe someone can answer. -
Meh, Skyrim is awesome, still play it, I bet Fallout 4 will be awesome as well, and so will TES6 be in the distant future.

Thank you for the reply, Kelmych . 10-12 hours sounds reasonable.

GUIDE Mythic Dawn: Gateway to Oblivion WIP
dreamer1986 replied to hishutup's topic in Oblivion - Mythic Dawn
Great news, Dennai, thank you :) . Once Hishutup updates the guide, I will install Better Cities as well. -
Thank you very much for this guide! As soon as I have time, in a few weeks, I will follow it to make the perfect Fallout 3 modded install. Does anybody have an estimate on how much time it takes to make the complete install according to the guide?

If you follow the guide, you should be fine. Yes, I did the complete install according to the guide and my game works great now :) . Just be careful when you play to not rely on autosaves or quicksaves, and always make new saves, even using the console: "save 315". If you die, load one of those after you restart the game.
