  1. One quick question about the merges from the "Merge Page": Should I do the merges as I follow along the guide, or should I do them all at the end?
  2. Okay, so there were more files, glad you mentioned it, didn't look inside the folder. Maybe instead of "Then replace The Great Equalizer - Main.pas file with THIS updated Script." another option "Then replace The Great Equalizer - Main.pas file from inside the folder with the same name with THIS updated Script." would be clearer? It might be unnecessary, but if I made the mistake, others might too.
  3. Finished the prerequisites part. First I have to say that I love the amount of info and detail, its awesome and very helpful. Second, while going though the instructions, I made a list of some tiny mistakes, discrepancies, or just what I noticed. I hope you consider something like this useful. Here are my observations: in Configure The Creation Kit you wrote "puroses" that should be purposes. "Then replace The Great Equalizer - Main.pas file with THIS updated Script." its actuallyThen replace The Great Equalizer.pas file with THIS updated Script which should be renamed. In Installing Mod Organizer 2 at step 4 the popout didn't show up, MO just started. To make it show up I selected Open the instance selection dialog to manage a different game. But this may be because I had another MO installed a few months ago, so a note would be helpful if that is the case for someone else? In the "Click the small screwdriver and wrench icon adjacent to the "Profile" drop-down and select "Install Mod...". * Navigate to the downloaded SKSE archive and click [Open]." section, the first time you run it MO starts a tutorial about how to fix the mod structure. We need to press the little green arrow until finished before we can do the next steps you mention. When setting up SKSE and putting Mod ID -1 you mention "The color of the text also indicates that SKSE is not available on the Nexus". But I see no color change, just black text, maybe I did something wrong? In the step "Drag the newly created mod "Cleaned Vanilla ESMs" Above the "SKSE Scripts" mods in the left pane and activate it by checking the box.", SKSE Scripts is actually called "Skyrim Script Extender" according to your previous instructions. Also, at the end of the "Clean the Bethesda ESM's" we have the backups of the Cleaned Esm's in Overwrite and you don't mention what we should do with them. At Beth ini: "Mod notes: his program" one missing letter, should be: This program In Post BethINI Tweaks you say "Create and open a text file named SKSE.ini." If you do that in explorer in windows 10, you might get SKSE.ini.txt (txt invisible) To change the file extension a note would be helpful to go to the view settings and check "File Name Extension" At the ENB installation there is "Specail Installation:" it should be Special installation: I think? And that's what I noticed, tomorrow I will move on to the main guide. Thank you again for the clear instructions, its all going great so far!
  4. Yes, its perfect. Now the next person who encounters this problem won't waste a day failing to find a solution . Lucky Kneph13 thought that might be it, it didn't cross my mind at all, antivirus yes, firewall no.
  5. Kneph13 saved me! It was the firewall that was blocking my CK for some stupid reason. I made an outbound rule in Windows Defender Firewall for the CK and it works. Maybe add a small note for other unlucky people in that section? Thank you, Kneph13, you are the best! And thank you DarkLadyLexy for trying to help me so much, sorry that I wasted your time. I am so happy, starting the install now .
  6. I reinstalled it several times, both the launcher and the creation kit, even on two pc's.
  7. I got the one from the launcher of Bethesda.net that says in the description Requires PC version of Skyrim Special Edition.
  8. Maybe its just because of a Windows update, a driver update, maybe a CK bug that will be fixed in the future, a creation club update that messed with the CK... Who knows, maybe it will simply work in a few weeks. I waited for so many months to start the install, I can wait a little more. Another "solution" would be for someone to send me the fixed esp's from the guide, but that would be only a temporary fix, in case one of those mods get an update. But that's the only thing I think can help me now, besides hoping that something will miraculously change in the future. @Kneph13 its the one from Beth.net launcher, not the one from steam.
  9. But that's just how it is by default in the archive. The archive has two folders: DialogueViews with the xml files, and the Source folder with the Scripts folder inside it. When I open it. It shows the message "Script Source zip "Scripts.zip" is new or has been updated - unpack?" and then immediately Creation Kit 2.0 has stopped working before I can click yes. I even tried to turn off the has stopped working message from the win10 registry and this has resulted in a simple crash with no message.
  10. Thank you again for trying at least. I have no idea how to contact their support. They don't even answer in the beth net creation kit forum where I posted. I guess I will wait and maybe they will answer eventually there. It makes no sense that I have the same CK major crash on two different pc's, while it seems no one else has any problems. Maybe its a silly mistake on my part that I am too blind to see, it has happened before on other occasions.
  11. Yes, I did. Once I extracted it directly. And once I made a scripts folder and extracted it there instead.
  12. 1. Steam is installed in a games folder, on a different partition. I'm playing mods for years, I know not to install anything in C. 2. SSE is installed in "a:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\" 3. CK is installed in that folder as well.
  13. Sure, sorry that I'm causing so much trouble, maybe I'm just blind to something obvious. 1. I install SSE. 2. I deactivate Steam Overlay from Steam. 3. I start the launcher, select the proper settings. 4. I start the game, start new game until I can enter the menu, then quit. 5. I install the CK from the Beth Launcher in the SSE folder. 6. Start CK and watch it crash.
  14. Even the workaround is a failure. I have the same problem at the other PC as well. And that one even has a different operating system, Win 7, while on my main I have Win 10. CK just stops working before I can click anything.
  15. It seems no one is able to help me make the CK work, on any forum. But I have waited so many months to play with your guide so I need to find a solution. I was thinking about a workaround: I started installing SSE on another PC I have, and I will install the creation kit there. And each esp that requires changing in the guide I will change there. Is this a good plan?
  16. Did that, same problem. I even completely reinstalled the game, did the first steps from the prerequisites steps until I got to the CK again, and the same problem. I have 0 ideas left, I asked in the Skyrim Mods reddit, maybe I'll get lucky there.
  17. Thanks for trying . I'll google some more, there must be a solution. Usually the scrips.zip where does it get unpacked? Maybe I unpacked it wrong manually.
  18. Got it, reinstalled the launcher in the default location, reinstalled CK-Skyrim in the Skyrim SE folder in steam, and same crash. I did start Skyrim SE before, and did it again now just in case, same result.
  19. It doesn't work, but thank you for the suggestion. I guess I will have to skip the CK steps from the guide and hope my install will survive.
  20. Awesome, thank you! I've seen the new section and it looks great, glad I waited this long. I started the install and hit a wall from the start . I installed the Creation kit as instructed, got to the step "Users should now launch the CK, choosing YES when asked to extract the scripts, and close the program", but I get "CK2 has stopped working" before I can click yes. I've tried manually unpacking them but I still get the message and crash. I've been searching for a solution online for an hour and still nothing. Any suggestions on what might be wrong and how to fix it?
