  1. I've reduced size of normal-maps to 1024k yesterday for ALL INSTALLED mods (a little custom from Revisited), just as experiment. Zero performance boost. Well, may be 1-2 fps, hard to determine if you have 35-40 with ENB EdgeAA, SMAA, SSAO. No profit for me, but can be for you. Just for note: unresized and not optimized nmaps was 10,4 Gb in occupied space, and optimized+resized - 6,8 Gb. PS. Also, I looked for long on screenshots comparing quality, visually there is no difference between after-before. Ah, yeah, funny story: I've made screens of optimized&resized texture (right), and original (left), placed it together and shown to my colleagues, they said that right have better quality. LoL
  2. Cool! start waiting for download:)
  3. Hi, I didn't tried it, since I'm personally not interested in Duel AI, stamina & stealth mechanic. But it will work as intended. Especially, if not to use SkyRe combat module, skyre enemyAI module / ASIS custom AI (that is told in the guide). In that case no need to delete any script files even.
  4. I recommend to use 1k versions of mods in foundation (I use it myself. NP.), or resize your 2k versions to 1k (not all of mods easy to find now).
  5. try to right click on right hand side and uncheck "hide non-conflict rows"
  6. you should try one of vanilla default settings. What do you mean with vanilla default settings? Vanilla ini:s? I have Installed Skyrim revisited (highest availabe resolution on textures, no more than 2k though)+immersive armors. I use all ini tweaks from Skyrim revisited guide except the z-fighting tweaks. I have ddsopted with 1k normals skyrim hd, searious hd, skyrim realistic overhaul, the official textures and all the mods that should be optimized according the STEP ddsopt guide. Have an AMD 7950 3gb card, 8 gb ram, win 8. 1920x1080 resolution. Yes. I mean Vanilla default ini's. But you can try IT also.
  7. any way would be nice:)
  8. you should try one of vanilla default settings.
  9. Thank you for information, I will seek for this solution. UPD. Found it. Guide updated.
  10. Well, I understand your point. About SkyRe stealth - seems much more realistic to me, because you still can sneak. With Duel it's almost impossible if you are not heavily invested in sneaking talents. Even if you are naked. My PC was detected in sneak mode by NPC which was in 25-30 meters from me with no light sources near, and even didn't looked at my direction. WTF? Now I'm gonna run with ASIS AI, since my custom install(I'm not about skyre+asis+.. but about all in general:)) seems works as intended. I will see
  11. that can be if animation is not compatible with skeleton/body mesh, or you checked/not checked skeleton arm fix in FNIS.so, start with browsing your anim mods and regenerate fnis patch.
  12. Updated: added Duel - Combat Realism notes. added some FAQ to introduction.
  13. I saw it too, on video he could be on low difficulty(skyre was mentioned for adept as T3nd0 tells), could be in low-level location, or with too powerful equipment, and he doesn't use ASIS CombatAi instead of SkyRe, I don't know. Yeah, it looks much easier than my experience. Also, played before with duel + skyrim unleashed + mighty magick, without skyre and asis, av, dual sheath. It was harder in some ways - and easier in another. Personally SkyRe with other patchers suits me more. More realistic even.
  14. Nice!Enemy archers as deadly as you:) It's cool then you forced to sprinting to archers defending yourself with shield, or equip heavy armor. Realistic I think. Also you can stagger an enemy with bow, and enemy can stagger you. Nice. Archer is good, stealth is cool, two handed weapons is death.(always playing on master) hehe. When I will play for real - character will be a mage. Will tell you about magic expirience in skyre, if you wish. Brighty, pm me your game profile configuration, hardware configuration and ini settings(in spoilers please) I will see if I can give you some advises. ps should go to sleep, so many errors in posts.. blah...
  15. I'm not against of adding more notes about ini tweaks to Skyrim Revisited, but I can't decide for Neovalen:)
  16. In addition, I provided reason, creator of MoMod was banned. For me they seem reasonable. Moding pages are full of people, sometimes even some quite accomplished modders, playing victim, how Nexus in banning without reason. Fans of the mod raging as defenders. But like Phill Collins sings: "We'll always need to hear both side of the story".Meanwhile - author of the SkyTEST is claiming, that there was no raports of instability on v1.30, and problems some experienced in 1.28 seem to be fixed. II. Yes. I DDSOpted my Vanilla textures, and running most if not all textures from mods through DDSopt as well. Especially, when I see texture which is like 22MB heavy (=uncompressed). Done some reduction of normals too, where it seemed appropriate and/or was suggested. Read the whole guide, and even most of the forum's thread 70+ pages (except the places, where ppl were asking over and over again about same thing). Also used BSAOpt on most of my BSAs. My shadow are as low as 1024 (and using ENB for better and more performance friendly shadow options). Slightly reduced particle count. Tweaked a bit Papyrus settings. No Z-fighting options or dangerous uGrid tweaking. My FPS is usually over 40, sometimes over 50 with SSAO and other ENB goodies, but even disabling ENB doesn't seem to prevent these freezes, and I'm like out of ideas. I did my diligence, read guide after guide, forum thread, googled, tried troubleshooting my load order best I can. Already improved performance and stability significantly in some areas. Currently investigating ASIS and WATER and they effects on my performance (areas around water and heavily populated seemed affected most). Just because, these are only ideas I have ATM. Oops, I mentioned MoMod but wrote SkyTEST, sorry. I was wrong, reasons already cited somewhere here. Or I saw them on another forum? Don't remember:( No, I will not recommend to add notes about tweaks of ini files. Neo noted his hardware configuration, and everybody have own head on the shoulders:) UPD. Brighty, about you fps drops. Did you applied any tweaks for game profile via NVIDIA Inspector? If you are NVIdia user, of course? Because, if you did - there is option that can apply fps drops in situations where many scripts are running. It is "Maximum pre-rendered frames" option. It forces CPU to do part of GPU's work - render # of frames -> less time for scripts processing, more script lags -> instability, stuttering and fps drop. So, try to reset your settings for TES5 game profile if you altered whose.
  17. This is covered in the Skyrim Revisited walk-through, correct? not yet. Neovalen made guide, but I don't think that he stress-tested already Skyrim Revisited with ini edits listed in guide. I think they will be fine for him, since he has GTX670 in SLI. But for most users, quoted tweaks (in Skyrim Revisited guide) can be the reason of instability. Surprized a little by this question o_O uploaded 22 February 2013 completely redone from ZERO (v1.30 Does not contains any new Spawnpoints, i had to rush the mod as it is in order to improve Stability, next version will include all prior features)
  18. 1. Welcome, Brighty!:)2. No problem - it's my thanks to modders community for making awesome mods and guides. 3. Yes MoMod lore-friendly version is listed here, I even played with it and all staff in guide (not long sadly - lack of time). Lore-friendly patch alters levelled list, deletes lore-unfriendly:) monsters from spawn. As alternative there is another creature mod (SIC). 4. ASIS should not cause performance issues, as it modifies combat AI, not all behavior. 5. This guide contains no mods that changes dragons (contains edits to prevent alteration of dragons). As I installed Skyrim Revisited, and thus Deadly dragons, I think they are deadly enougth:) One firebreath can kill you, couple of hits can kill you, and it was a first dragon I met) Looks realistic to me, I enjoyed:) I player with deadly dragons without any tweaks by my side.
  19. WilliamImm, going on nexus to give you kudo:) bpr5016,yes. guide updated, most of changes that have been done since first post - cosmetic, you can follow it.
  20. statmonster, infinite loading screen besides "bad mod install" can be caused by sick TES5 method of working with cells and RAM, if you tweaked you skyrim ini files to load more cells and keep more cells in memory - you can try to reduce these parameters to normal values. Also if using ENB and DoF there is not a big difference in image.
  21. it will be huge work to adapt radiance and quests to this 1st levelled game. :) Also it will be incompartible to all mods that alters levelled lists. Aiyen, nonono, SkyRe + ASIS is enough for know:)
  22. For vanilla game - nothing I suppose, you will grow in strength to the sky, you will become godlike. For this install - you will certainly find worthy opponents on high levels. Personally, I would like to play without any levels but with improvements as you progress, but such thing for skyrim is fairy tale for now... Skyrim is too binded to levelling. I'm back from lurking. I've found out that Uncapper and NoSkill Limit works together without problem, since NSL just edits global value and Skyrim Uncapper are main rule in this case. We don't need any patches for NSL if no mods loaded after change this value.
