  1. When you do, be sure to remove/rename the INI in the SKSE mod, as MO will use that instead of the one in the Skyrim folder.
  2. It's not so much as the wrong terminology used as me just being sure you didn't have another problem that you were confusing the result with.
  3. Huh! What? Why are we looking at BSAs? You were asking about the DLC plugins, ie *.esm files.
  4. Just out of curiosity, do you have modified Categories.dat files in your installation? Try removing them and see if the error spam is removed.
  5. When you cleaned the DLC the original files have been MOVED and are no longer in the Data folder of Skyrim. I was pretty sure the STEP guide has you make copies of these first, to place back into the Data folder, I haven't checked that lately. However since the 'cleaned' files exist in a mod used by MO the game will function normally. If you wish to be absolutely sure nothing bad will happen you could "Verify your game cache" with Steam and the DLC will be downloaded again to be in the Data folder. As long as the 'cleaned' DLC are placed after the "Unmanaged" ones in MO, you will have the clean files used in game.
  6. Sounds like Witcher III style quests are spilling over into the Skyrim mindset.
  7. If anyone is offended by "uterus" being in a name then the fault is with them. We are playing games where body parts are being removed/exploded/shot/eaten/or otherwise damaged. Being offended by a womb is hardly something that should rank on the scale of things.
  8. Well according to the snippet of log you provided, CASM is working, it's something else that is stopping the actual save to that directory. Can you provide the full logs, perhaps something else might show there? I have to say though, this looks more like interference from outside the game environment, such as AV or Windows stopping the final copy/save process. Can you pinpoint what is different with your system now compared to when it last worked? Anything no matter how insignificant or unrelated maybe important.
  9. hmm... try renaming your profile to get rid of the ". The extended ASCII characters are probably messing with the plugin.
  10. Ahh... that's my error. Didn't actually read your post correctly. Yes I too am having issues with 0.8.1, I was thinking this was 0.8.0! Apologies for that. LOOT's documentation did say future iterations may break the CSS.
  11. We have a thread in the [General] section for Common CTDs. Have a look through there and then examine some of the threads about mods that you have in your load order that might be problematic. We also have pages dedicated to many mods and there issues. As to your FNIS situation. Every mod that makes changes to animations requires FNIS to be run via MO so that these custom animations are generated properly. The output from the FNIS tool goes to the "Overwrite" folder and must be made into a 'user-created mod' and then activated in MO so the game sees them. This is discussed in detail in the FNIS page and you should acquaint yourself with its use. May I also suggest you read the wiki and watch the tutorial videos on the use of MO. Many of the points here are handled in detail.
  12. AV == Anti-virus I'm looking only at the issue of FNIS used via MO and all the information pertaining to how you install it or animations that need it. Your CTDs have no bearing on how MO installs or runs FNIS. However, if you have created your animations and have them in a mod you have created from the "Overwrite" folder, if for whatever reason FNIS is being removed and the game is still looking for custom animations because of your mod, that may have something to do with it. So you will need to look at this in two stages. Solve the issue of FNIS being removed Examine your mod list and load order to see where these CTDs are coming from. There are dedicated threads here in STEP that you can read to solve those. This thread is only to do with FNIS via MO, anything else will need to be discussed elsewhere.
  13. Welcome to STEP. Sounds like something is removing these files after you installed them. Check your AV or Firewall packages to see if they are doing anything to MO. You may need to set exemptions for MO if they are interfering. Nothing that happens in game will have any influence on the installed files used by MO. The game doesn't even know of the location of these files let alone have the capacity to remove them. You only need to install the Creature Pack and the Spells Pack if you wish to add mods that change animations to creatures or spells, those two packs are not needed for general installation. Also @fore has released a "Complete Fix" download that combines the version 5.5 and the 5.5 fix versions into one, it's listed in the "Update" section, you can use just that download to install FNIS.
  14. Archive the contents of the current profile and add the modorganizer.ini along with any logs in the log folder and post it here. Without seeing what MO is dealing with it will be very hard to diagnose this issue. I'll state immediately that I have never heard of this before so I will be running blind.
  15. Works perfectly for me. Check to make sure you have actually renamed the dark-theme to theme.
  16. Recent MB manufacturing and layouts render most of the arguments for discrete add-on boards redundant now. Since those links were to articles 3 or 4 years old you can consider them ancient history. Take my recent Skylake capable MB. It has an architecture that even eliminates the sharing of PCI slots when you have a GPU and perhaps a m.2 SSD. This used to ba an issue as they effectively halved the bandwidth if used together, now that doesn't happen. So to with network, audio or other "add-on" cards. Most MBs these days are so well designed, the onboard architecture more than makes up for any perceived loss of performance.
  17. SRB, you have a GitHub account? Why not just host it there? Or I can do so on mine.
  18. When I started my search I asked that very question and was reliably informed that the onboard sound is good enough these days to be all we need for gaming. There used to be issues with interference from components on the MB but that isn't the case anymore. End result == no need for another expansion card.
  19. Just now looking through the PPA mod in xEdit and it appears that item may remain because of the scripts attached to it. There's this script snippet: ;_________________________________ ; ; Destupidification ;_________________________________ IF sItemEquipped == 1 rContainer.additem PPATokenStupidFixer 1 rContainer.equipitem PPATokenStupidFixer 1 set sItemEquipped to 2 ELSEif sItemEquipped == 2 rContainer.removeitem PPATokenStupidFixer 2 set sItemEquipped to 0 ENDif If I'm reading this correctly (not at all guaranteed) then these leftover items need to removed by the script based on whether they're equipped. Which I take it means the script isn't applied to the NPC, but it is just a leftover artifact. Can PPATokenStupidFixer 2 be called from the console?
  20. I've just now installed it and ran a few minutes of the game and also used F4 to save my game. Everything for me is working as advertised so there must be an error somewhere in your installation. Can you look in your FNV folder for the nvse.log & lutana_nvse.log and post them here please. Best to delete all the logs beforehand and then just run it and try to save a game, that way they will be as small as possible. If NVSE & Lutana and hence CASM are installed correctly you should have entries stating as much. In particular the nvse.log should have entries like this when CASM makes a save: Hook_DirectInput8Create_Execute NVSE DLL DoPreLoadGameHook: systemsave William.fos Reading mod list from co-save Loading array variables Loading strings NVSE DLL DoLoadGameHook: systemsave William.fos NVSE DLL DoPostLoadGameHook: systemsave William.fos NVSE DLL DoSaveGameHook: William - Save 11.fos saving to .\__MOProfileSave__\William - Save 11.nvse saving 5 plugins to .\__MOProfileSave__\William - Save 11.nvse
  21. You have the 'Cleaned' ESMs in the wrong places. Each 'Cleaned' ESM should follow immediately after the unmanaged vanilla one and THEN the Unofficial patches come after those. What you are doing here is this: Original ESM is being patched by the Unofficial Patch and is then reverted to vanilla (albeit clean) ESM again. You have it correct for "Dragonborn" but not the others. Additionally if you have MO managing your BSAs, you should, then you don't need the plugins for the Hi-Res Patchs active in the load order. That's why they have that little broom icon beside them.
  22. Nothing you have described is a problem. Those entries in the 'Data' tab of MO's right-hand pane are from the vanilla game. Once you add mods and enable them in MO's left-hand pane the files that are contained in them will appear and override those vanilla files if you have them with the correct priority. You should however view the video tutorials and read through the wiki on how to setup and use MO.
  23. Load up your list into xEdit and see which mods make changes to that location, one of them must be doing something odd.
  24. Okay, have a look at the location that it is supposed to be saving to and ensure there is nothing restricting access to it, e.g. AV packages/firewalls/ any other software that is hindering the game/CASM from having access. Possibly see if you can set the save location to another folder, one that is completely under your user account's control.
  25. I initially shied away from Skylake CPUs but since the one I have now purchased (Core i5-6600) was only AU$10 more than a Core i5-4690 I figured I can now get better performance from DDR4 RAM. So check around you may just find some specials on the latest chips, especially if you get the non-K variants (ie. not good for over-clocking) Is your current monitor really in need of an upgrade? Seems like a reasonable monitor to me and you get to save $100. Your RAM, is that 1x16GB, 2x8GB or 4x4GB? It looks like a good price to me. I would need to pay close to AU$200 for that. Way above exchange rate markups. Check out the Toshiba HDDs if you can. I read good reports about them and they were much cheaper than the WD/Seagate options.
