Well it could be considered as a "misc" overhaul. From what I can see in MO the pack overrides (partially or not) "Realistic Mushrooms", "High Quality Food and Ingredients", "HD Misc", "Tobes Highres Textures", "HD Sacks Retexture", "Mystery Modders Shrines", "Septim HD", "Skyrim Redesigned" and of course "Bethesda Hi-Res DLC Optimized". It also overrides "Langleys Wood Metal and Stones Textures Workshop" from Skyrim Revisited and "Better Bedrolls" (yes I kept it).

Thx for the google doc, it's very interesting (well at least for me). It's a great mod, I had a lot of fun playing with some magic and experience settings today :)

Thx for the sarcasm... I really want to test it further now. From the rest of your post I assume that if you undo any modification made, you just have to save, uninstall the mod and restart and you are back to square one. But if you made so many modifiactions that you don't know how to revert back, what can you do? I guess that's the purpose of the reset section, am I right? You have to assume when you made a mod with so much possibilities to screw up that someone will eventually ask you how to undo everything and if their saves are dead or not, don't you? Edit: Don't get me wrong, I really like your mods but they lack of documentation.

It is a great mod with a LOT of possibilities... maybe too much ^^ I'm wondering is there a way to properly uninstall the mod or changes stay in the save?

As far as I know no mod in SR need the spell addon from FNIS.I don't have it and everything works fine. -

Hi all, I'm a little confused about SUM and the merged patch feature. After the patch and merged patch are generated I can see all the patch in MO selected. So I'm wondering what's the point of having a merged patch if it needs the originals patches to work... or is it just the default behavior of SUM to select them and it forget to unselected them after it generated the SUM.esp? I deselected all the patch and keep the SUM.esp and everything seemed to work fine, so I guess that's the intended behavior. Anyway maybe a little clarification in the wiki should be added. -
The pack is all in 1024x1024 for dds and normal so I guess the impact is minimal. There are already several pack in STEP that add minimal changes to the game that you just guet used to but you immediatly notice when you forgot to re-add them :)

I'm not sure here is the best place to make a request for DSR but hey... Would you consider making a patch for Crafting 300. Now I would understand you won't since there is 977 files in the mesh folder for weapon :D

Yes they are actually. To be honest that how I noticed the mod worked the first time :D

A few days ago on my daily routine to see what's new in the Nexus, while following some links I found this: https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/34494 Here is the description: This mod is a retexture for the vanilla Spell Tomes that gives them their "color coded" respective book cover. Also the retextures has hi-res textures & normal maps. I've been using it for a few days and I have nothing to report other than it's one of those little nice addition to game that make modding so great. It doesn't conflict with anything in STEP beside "Bethesda Hi-Res DLC Optimized".

ACCEPTED Skyrim Improved Puddles (by PCG4m3r)

I already ask the question in the mod page but this is very confusing.I have Dawnguard and Dragonborn but not Hearthfire, what ESP should I install? Do I need the Danwguard and Dragongorn ESP together or are they incompatible? Your "CHOOSE ONLY ONE ESP" after "SEPARATE ESP files" is confusing and contradictory. -
I guess you're refering to me.I'm not the only one in this thread who experienced save corruption or anomaly, rpsgc did too. I stand on what I said, we shouldn't use this mod, just in case.

Actually your RAM above 4Gb is still used as buffer for the game so it does help reduce stuttering... RAM buffer is still way way faster then HDD buffer. It's still no use for the Skyrim engine. It's relevant for the OS, not the engine as I said. I did with a 2Gb card but only with texture pack. Ok it didn't last long when I started to add more mod but it's possible. Well with that amount of VRAM if you just optimized the normal (and the rest of the textures in the pack of course) it should run well. It's also easier to optimize, test and then resize if necessary than the opposite.Of course if you have a 2Gb or less card use 1k optimized pack or if you feeling lucky optimized 2k textures with 1k normals. Personnaly I'm using the 2k+1k option.
-
Your RAM over 4Go is not relevant for Skyrim since the engine seems to hit a wall at 3.2Go. Optimizing texture will not only reduce the amount of VRAM it uses but will also significantly reduce suttering. So no you won't "need" to do it, but you will gain from it. The good thing with 3Go of VRAM you can use 2k texture pack without having to reduce the normals for example.

It might be a stupid question but how your mod will interact with Crafting 300? I never had the chance to use the mod because I discovered it when it wouldn't work anymore (or partially). A better question would be, why do you need the patch it for different mod? Just because of the mesh and the animation? Arf too much questions for someone that should rest :D -

Reminds me of my last Christmas holidays... I hope you'll get better soon. -
Do not rename d3d9.dll unless you are using an ENB, otherwise it won't work.

Did you update to the latest version of MO, 0.12.9? I clean update.esm after the last patch and the file end up in the original skyrim folder as every vanilla Skyrim file should. -

Overwrite folder overwrites everything. It's where created file via third party program through MO go since they don't have a proper folder. Some programs such as TESVEDIT and Wrye Bash are correctly handled by MO and are able (or allowed) to write in specific folder. Original DLC should not appear in overwrite. -
Oh you are right I didn't noticed... Maybe the author though the others were too small. I guess SGD is still a better choice for STEP in that case. I'll keep using this because I don't really care how my soul gems look like :P
-
And a lot less annoying to install than Soul Gem differ :)
-
I let BOSS order my mods. Since it isn't in STEP it is near the bottom in MO, which doesn't report any conflicting files so I guess you could put it anywhere.

I know what you were referring to, I've said it once already, I had mentioned MLAA in my second post in this thread: I've had several AMD cards in my rigs over the past few years, I know what options are there in the control panel. Whilst AMD includes a number of deferred AntiAliasing options in their Control Panel, many of them don't work in some games, Skyrim not excluded, therefore rendering them useless. Some, like the Adaptive Multisampling (which is basically transparency MSAA) are known to have issues in many games, whilst forced Supersampling doesn't work in the titles where you'd really want it to work. NVIDIA's drivers have a distinct advantage in this area. I'd rather have options than no options at all. If you don't want to get the best out of your rig for the specific task, just stick to the in-game method of AA, but bear in mind that it sucks in comparison. In what environment are they unsafe? Setting up a game profile has never screwed anything up on my PC (I fail to comprehend how that would be dangerous at all) and most advanced users would know the risk of tweaking other settings. If you don't feel safe using those options, then don't. But please, don't practice scaremongering here, as your information is at best flawed when it comes to the actual use of RadeonPro or NVIDIA Inspector software. Yes, we'd all love that, wouldn't we. But the reality isn't so beautiful, unfortunately. Case in point, Skyrim. Neither the in-game multisampling AA method used nor Anisotropic Filtering can compete with the driver solutions. And this is just one examples, whereas the vast majority of old and new games out there requires tweaking to get the most quality out of them. https://www.dahlsys.com/misc/antialias/index.html I think this will be better at explaining things than I could ever attempt to do. I don't believe MLAA is proprietary (not to mention, it's a post-processing form of AA, not a deferred one), as you can enable it on NVIDIA cards in a few games (Deux Ex and Shogun 2 come to mind). Oh my... Please don't assume anything.I'm not scaremongering anyone. I'm just separating your average user from the advanced user you refer to. And for the rest of your sarcasms, you'll excuse me if I'm going back to play.. I just wanted this thread not becoming the usual troll war AMD/Nvidia by stating that for the vast majority of player won't see the difference. And that's as fact (sadly).

I am using it for some times now and I really like it. It's fun while mindlessly bashing some monster and suddenly realize "Hey I'm getting my ass kicked!!". I'm using the full version and every encounter with more than 2 opponent become challenging, not impossible but it forces me to stop playing like in Diablo.
