Dragon's...Baywatch edition - slow motion dragons
Aiyen replied to GunerX's question in General Skyrim LE Support
lol that one was new for me! At least it is somewhat easy to actually hit a flying target then! As for reasons.... then if it would depend on which mods that affect dragon you are using. -
I know origins + all was on sale on steam in the recent past! :p

Make sure those textures have proper mip map levels... other then that then I am blank. I have seen my share of weird cell loading... terrain loading before and after objects etc. Then again popin never bothered me at all so I guess I just do not notice it that much. Sorry I do not have more in terms of tangible help. :S

Oh I know the feeling.... Character models is all sculpting and then converting into lower poly´s though... since it is infinitely faster to do it that way with the tools for that. However ofc. then come the ... insert long string of annoying swear words... nif format conversion. For all the ease and comfort that is modding skyrim.. then nif is perhaps the single largest most annoying thing... even more annoying the every curve ball that the CK can throw at ya. Such an annoying format that is not really supporting in anything modern anymore. And everything considered then nobody seem interested in making things work with it. Oh well nif ranting off! Just hope you find something good.. I am really intrigued by what you have achieved here so far! So keep it up!

Those issues are fairly "well known".. at least I recall reading about them over a year ago. They normally do not present any issue due to the underwear.. but is a major issue for nude models... hence why any replacers have that fixed. Also if you really want to get serious about body and mesh stuff then loverslab is probably a much better place to go ask/look... the people over there pretty much do nothing but that after all... Once you dig down past the nexus resentment, and the.. not entirely appropriate stuff etc.. then you can find a lot of gold mine posts with detailed instructions and hints. Overall what I found out last I digged into it was that the lighting issue is simply not possible to entirely solve... part due to engine stuff.. and unless you want to redo all animations as well! And that is probably an infinitely more daunting task then simply correcting UV´s and adjusting poly counts! :)

SKYRIMLE Optimized Vanilla Textures (by tony971)
Aiyen replied to EssArrBee's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Another thing to consider is we do not really know if some of the games shaders actually force only one level of mip to be used... it is not unheard of that certain shaders operate in this way because there is no point for them to load all levels. It is a fairly simple way to optimize GLSL and HLSL code after all. Hence even if for one texture one thing would make sense then it would not be equal to saying it would behave that way for all of them. We simply have no way of knowing. I guess one can say that this debate have reached the point where the returns are only academic.. and not practical at all. -
Eventually you will just run into a case of ... too much stuff! Your computer can only put in so much so fast. Even if you most of the time have no issues, then you can still get into a cell where the loading will take a while and there will be popin... In general you will never get rid of all popin cases. Even with low resolution textures then it can still happen... so even if you have the mother of all machines in terms of specs then it will still happen.

Different weathers will make seams more or less noticeable. Since it is not just a matter of UV and texture mismatch... there also is a very large lighting component to the mix. Depending on a given weathers image space values then you can make seams more or less noticeable. With or without ENB does not really matter. The only difference is that with ENB you got a bit more control. Simple example would be if you got a seam that is almost not noticeable.. when you then have a weather that increase the contrast image space value then the seam will get more noticeable since the area of the seam is most likely going to be a high contrast area pixel wise. Most of the shots kuroyume has just shown is mainly lighting related... since you can clearly see a general difference in appearance between the head and torso. It is not just a simple texture mismatch.

No it is not bad in that area. There are areas in the game that are just really badly optimized. If you absolutely must have 60 FPS everywhere then you would need to really lower the shadow resolutions so those areas do not require nearly as much to render. Also the intro is really heavy compared to most of the game, so take it with a grain of salt!

SKYRIMLE Animallica - Skyrim Wildlife Overhaul (by sliceandkill)
Aiyen replied to dstansberry's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
The badger with its mixed mesh of a wolf and rat just made my day! I cant decide if I find it utterly adorable or disgusting! In either case it really made me giggle. As for the mod idea in general then it is a nice concept. I do think it will add too much complexity to my list in order to provide something that I already feel I get plenty of just using AV. And in general the models are perhaps a bit too low poly in some cases. But definitely this is a mod to watch for future updates! Hope it continues to evolve. -
Looks good as it is... a bit better then what I have on my nexus page in some ways too! Thanks for the heads up Z! :)

Heyya Hmmm depending on what you mean then you can simply increase the cloud intensity (under sky) for the foggy weathers (remember to edit the specific weather.ini file) this will make everything brighter since all foggy weathers are overcast. To complement it you can also increase the ambient intensity just a bit... that should maintain a smooth transition. Finally to get everything to blend nicely you can adjust the fog multiplier. The ambient and fog multipliers are under environment. As for the sun... that depends entirely on texture choice. The effect can only be as good as the textures allow. You can try to adjust the cloud opacity to suit your needs, but that is about all that can be done other then making new cloud textures. Hope that allows you to get the visuals you want! Otherwise just ask again!

Save Bloat - What is it? - Why does it cause CTD? - Why does this fix it?
Aiyen replied to GunerX's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Just STEP core on its own will not produce save bloat etc. So issues with for example save bloat come down to people adding more stuff on top without making sure what they add will play nice with the existing list. If you do have a reproduceable CTD like you describe then it should be rather easy to locate the culprint mod and work from there. Make sure to run tes5edit and check for all conflicts and resolve them. Especially make sure to look for "cannot be resolved" errors that might have sneaked in during a mod update etc. Since those will always produce CTD´s when the asset is trying to load. In general if you need to use save cleaner tools.. then your mod list is already unstable and will continually just produce errors and the evil circle will never end. This is also why I recommend that before people get started playing for real that they do a quick "toggle god mode" and just rush to complete up to killing the first dragon in the main quest. Doing all of that should produce at the most one CTD. And have an absolute minimum amount of bugs. It wont show you everything that can go wrong, but it will go a long way to show that you are on the right path. -
Save Bloat - What is it? - Why does it cause CTD? - Why does this fix it?
Aiyen replied to GunerX's question in General Skyrim LE Support
This sounds like the classic case of I just made the mother of all mod lists but I did not perform all the proper conflict resolution and I did not create all the patches (or patch if you want a single one) that is required to make everything play nice. Not doing this will create save bloat in a very very short timespan since data from mod A gets overwritten by mod B... however now Mod A has a script that needs what was overwritten to be a certain way.. and it does not execute properly. -
SKYRIMLE Optimized Vanilla Textures (by tony971)
Aiyen replied to EssArrBee's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Guess this might sound a bit over the top so I apologize in advance! Man who would have thought the day would come when texture load order would even be a thing! Load the textures you want to use last! It amazes me how overly complicated this can be made out to be. This aftermath of bsa vs loose, and the annoying way the USKP works it just a never ending cycle of issues it would seem. -
Vividian - Weather & Lighting enhancement - CoT - RCRN and Pure Weather
Aiyen replied to Mangaclub's topic in Post Processing
As I remember then it just alters the torch intensity and color, and then add having spells out as a point light source so it would not conflict with ENB´s... but it would perhaps make sure you get more flickering with shadows etc, since you might go over the max number of active point light sources in a given cell. -
I find Gopher's Mod "testing" to be irritating. (There, I said it.)
Aiyen replied to Kuldebar's topic in Step Banter Inn
Guess if you read this then I just want to say thanks! Seeing how you did it actually did help me make a much better description and also helped me improve the preset in general, since even if it was the wrong version you did have a few gold nuggets for me! :) As for the general concept.. as long as you have some fun doing it then I do not mind the method at all. I know that you should take live stuff with a bit of moderation... hats for for your work so far, and hope you will continue doing more experimentation and skyrim stuff in the future! -
SKYRIMLE Optimized Vanilla Textures (by tony971)
Aiyen replied to EssArrBee's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Yeah it would be really really weird if bethesda is going to start a **** storm over this..... that would also mean they would have to go hunt down people who took their textures.. applied sharpen and then redistributed it! Also the textures still require the DLC to actually work.. since if you just have the textures they wont be working at all since nothing links to them. Again depending on how strict you want to be then it could be forbidden... but at the end of the day I highly doubt they are going to care in the slightest... and if for some reason they do then they will most likely send a takedown email to nexus first who will then just remove with that being the cause... end of story! -
Performance Recommendation: Pre v0.143 + HiAlgo or Something Newer?
Aiyen replied to mikegray's question in Post-Processing Support
If you got a 290... then do not touch hialgo boost... the only time you would EVER want to touch it is if you are on an age old laptop... on any modern system it is just more trouble then it is worth. Especially when you mix it with other hook based software such as ENB. 30 FPS in morthal swamp is quite respectable... it is a really badly optimized area, and if you just throw in more stuff there then it will kill anything. So you should not base your entire gameplay on just that one area.. if you get 30 fps there but on average 50 everywhere else then I would classify it as "butter smooth". You are most likely not going to be spending several days of your play-though in just the swamp anyways. Also you are running at 1440p I assume... at that resolution then you will be really hard pressed to get the most badly optimized and detailed areas of skyrim above 30 in general. Also with that much memory then ddsopt is ... essentially pointless for your performance. You would be able to run with 2k basically everything and not have any memory related issues. As for ini´s then make sure you do not go over 2k in the shadow resolution... 4k is just pointless and woefully full of potential super slowdowns. As for other ENB presets.. then vividian, skylight are what I normally suggest since I am selfish and stuff! :) -
It does not matter if you use injector or wrapper. It is just two different ways of doing the same thing.

Haven't played Skyrim since 2012--need advice, please :)
Aiyen replied to AdventureGirl's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Pre buildt are never worth the money.. you can always get it cheaper buying parts (Also they tend to come with all sorts of annoying software etc. that will just confuse you into thinking it is a good idea to actually use it.). Also modern components are almost 100% idiot proof. Stuff can only fit in one way, and if you forgot some power plug etc the system will tell you when it starts (lots of warning noise). The only tricky part is setting in the cpu and mounting the cooler. However once that is out of the way the rest is literally just plug n play. For cpu mounting etc there are scores of youtube videos as reference for just about every single model known to man, and probably also with every single cooling solution... or close to it anyways. Since you are worried about having money in the bank then I would recommend saving a few bucks where you can. -
YAY! The Dragon Soul Absorb Bug! YAY!

I assume that you are doing your tests on a new game and not on an existing save as well. -
Make sure windows see it as an ini file and not a txt file in explorer.

New profile fails to load all game assets
Aiyen replied to Aiyen's question in Mod Organizer Support
Okay tried a few more things! Reinstalled all of MO just because! Issue remains. Tried to copy over the working profile into the non working one... everything works! (phew otherwise it would have been even more odd!) Then tried to disable everything except SKSE in the profile and again nothing works! Tried to remove everything in overwrite... issue is still there. I guess I could start enabling mods one section at a time until I hit the one that is the magic one that cause the game to work.... I did try with just the unofficial patches but that did not do it. It is the same every time I make a new profile and try to launch the game with only SKSE or even the base launcher... game is only pseudo loaded. -
LOTR Aragorn Story (suggestion)
Aiyen replied to Teabag86's topic in General Skyrim LE Discussion & Support
Impossible : No Big Job : Yes Doable : With a few people dedicated sure. Straight forward : Guess that depends on how much of skyrim you want to remove and how much of middle earth you want to include. That would be about my outlook on it. For all the similarities then I would not say that middle earth looks like skyrim in terms of geography. Also the whole gameworld is actually not that vast, hence you would need more then survival mods to actually slow down progression.
