1)I presume Birdman is talking about the lifespan of read/writes on an SSD, which is more limited than a conventional drive so if you can avoid using your SSD for things like this then do so. 2) You can create it wherever you like but see above.3 3) Keep backups of the vanilla HRDLC BSAs in case you ever have to do a re-install, then you can copy these drives back into your skyrim/data folder so that you avoid the need for a 4GB steam download. I'm not sure where exactly it says to make backups and don't have time to scour the guide now but the extraction and repair steps don't take that long, but optimising does so make backups again after that. 4) No. The optimisation is about preparing this stuff before you install anything (in your case anyway, you could go back and repair/optimise if you hadn't). 5) Not sure, if you follow the guide you'll be familiar, once you've finished ;) 6) From memory I think I ignored that actually presuming the batch files did that themselves. Someone else can answer this hopefully.

WB. Still there if I reload. This is the only texture like this in the game! I've been and checked the forges in Riverwood, Riften and Windhelm amd they are all fine. WTF. I did a clean install to try and get rid of this, it makes me feel like this:Â The only other thing I could thing off was some error when I optimised the textures but how come the iron in the other forges is ok?Â

Yep everyone gets them, go ahead and clean them as recommended, it's very straightforward. For Update.esm: Load Skyrim.esm and Update.esm, but only clean Update.esm.For Dawnguard.esm: Load Skyrim.esm, Update.esm, and Dawnguard.esm but only clean Dawnguard.esm.For Hearthfires.esm: Load Skyrim.esm and Hearthfires.esm but only clean Hearthfires.esm. Download TES5Edit.Extract the downloaded archive to wherever you want.Run the TES5Edit.exe file.A dialog box appears listing all your installed plugins, with all currently active plugins ticked. Ok, new one, I actually re-installed STEP to try and get rid of this but jumped in again after clean install and finishing section F... this is Whiterun forge, does anyone else get this?

I'm using ENB, if I have that doing Anisotropic Filtering: ForceAnisotropicFiltering=true MaxAnisotropy=16 SkipShaderOptimization=false Should I turn it off entirely in the launcher? (I'm using SweetFX for AA etc...)

So, finally getting near the end of installing STEP, got up to the end of K and hop in only to find this: Imagine my delight. Anyone have an idea what the fire rocky textures are called and where they can be found? Which mod? I was hoping I could overwrite it rather than have to start again. I had a look through what I thought may be likely candidates in DDSopt but I'm not too savvy in such matters.

Soul Gems Differ - a BCF is available (on the Nexus). The BCF is double packed though...

Please add a note for HD Ore And Ingots that the optional with manager file ONLY should be downloaded. The "main" file is 75% screenshots and duplicates.

From SKYUI: Problem: There are dollar signs ($) in front of all words in the main menu (and in lots of other places, too)! Solution: This happens if you accidently removed Data/Interface/Translate_.txt. To restore it, use Steam to verify the integrity of Skyrim's game-cache (Steam -> Library -> Properties of Skyrim -> Local files tab -> Verify integrity of game cache).
