Post #4 of this thread has the dropbox link to the files, Sheson. :)

If the mod still isn't released, then there really isn't any way to know, is there? That said, it may be possible, but the CRing for it may be nightmarish. As long as you've checked (as in the tick-mark box) the proper files, then don't worry about it - this happens with a lot of the merges. Make sure you have ONLY those files checked though, or you might be in for a bit of trouble later on when you start hiding files... I did this with a file accidentally, and it made life... interesting... for a little bit until I found what I had done.

Your answer is in what you posted. Look at the instructions (reprinted here for easy reference): "Run LOOT for each merge profile......." - This should be self-explanatory. Make sure all mods in the list are activated, along with their masters, and sort via Loot. "Once LOOT has sorted your load order," (which we just did), "hand place" (Ok, we're changing the work LOOT just did) "all ESPs that are to be merged at the bottom of the Right Pane in the order described for each merge." So - the bottom of the LO should mirror the list in the guide for that merge. Which means your LO (as shown) needs to be moved around. LOOT sorting in this case is to get the masters in proper order, no other reason.

If you read the directions for the installation of the Merge Plugins Hide on the guide, you will note that you WILL be using that plugin - just with an option set in the plugin to set the ESPs to Optional instead of .mohidden. The results would be the same both ways. I just did all of the merges over the last three days using this method, and it is definately viable, easy, and very quick. I think you miss-read something, because it is not required to set them to optional manually, which is what it sounds like you were doing. Despite what Lexy said, it doesn't matter what profile you use Hide Plugins on, as (you noted) it will affect all profiles. Again, even with the normal .mohidden setting, this would be the same. Try another merge using the Plugin as it's intended to be used, and I think you'll see the time difference. Indeed - it's always nice to have a stable place to start T/S from. I think it may be helpful to have a quick summary of differences between the mods being compared - I know CHorses since we've been using it forever now, but know nothing about how IHorses compares. Given the results to this point, I see a change on the horizon, so am curious if anyone can summarize the differences?

Adding in my two cents here, as one possible way to work in anything you want to add. Normally, I have another two sections after all the ones that Lexy's Guide has - "Non Guide Mods" and "Non Guide Merges". Anything I add goes here first, and then I LOOT, Bash, and Smash with them in those positions. Test in game... if it works as you expect, let it ride. If something is off, go down the CR Route that Lexy is talking about. In general, unless you are adding in something hugely impactful, doing this should be relatively safe. It's worked for me not only on this setup, but also the base STEP install. It also gives you a fairly easy jump off point for troubleshooting those same added mods if problems do arise, and even more important, keeps it easy to tell which mods are guide and which are personal add ins, which becomes important on updates. Best of luck, and I hope this helps.

Well, barring all of those, the next thing I would do (since this sounds like a mesh/.nif issue to me at the moment) is go through the guide and identify every mod that should have been run through NIF Optimizer, then run them through again to be absolutely certain that you didn't miss one somehow. It happened to me once, and as dense as the guide is, it's not beyond possibility.

SKYRIMLE XxAwesome PotionsxX + CACO Patch for LE?
Shadriss replied to DarkPhoenix's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Have never heard of the potions mod you mention, but if you can't find it on Nexus, then I have no idea where else to look, honestly. As to back-converting, if you can run the CK for Skyrim (LE, not SSE), you MIGHT be able to do it by loading it in then saving... kind of the way you'd convert from LE to SE, but using the Skyrim LE CK settings instead of loading into SSE CK. Honestly, no idea if this would work... but it's the only thing that comes to mind. Since you did find an SSE version, perhaps a question or two on that mod page might be a better place to ask about the LE version? -
Welcome to the Dark Side. Your cookies are over there. :)

I think at this point, you should contact the devs of MO2 - I know they have a discord channel (though I've never been on it myself), so if you can find that and talk to them there, they may have more insight.

SKYRIMSE Deleted Skyrim Mods Help!
Shadriss replied to AmazingMikeyFTW's question in General Skyrim SE Support
Well... I'm not familiar with XBO setups at all, but my initial instinct is to say that you may be out of luck here. So far as I know, there isn't any program like what you suggest, and on top of that, I'm not sure that the data on the XBO drive would be readable by the Windows OS. We here (most of us) are PC players, so I'm not sure how much info we'll be able to provide, but if such a program does exist or a way for a PC to interact with a XBO HD, then it's more likely you'll find better leads through Google searches than here, I'm afraid. -
Glad to hear you got it taken care of. Have fun Skyrimming!

This. There's plenty of guides out there that say, specifically, not to install MO into the game folder. Many of those same guides recommend not having them in the Steam folder as well. I keep it in C:/Skyrim Tools (along with, amazingly enough, all my other modding tools...) for this very reason. I'd give this a try (you should be able to drag/drop MO to a new location and run it from there, though you may need to redirect the profiles path) as your next step, and see if it doesn't fix the behavior.
-
If you have the errors identified, you can remove those records in the offending ESP, then try to DynDOLOD run again. I see that you've fixed it by Unmerging, but you need that merge to ensure it all works together afterwards. The errors of Unresolved generally means that one of the records is trying to alter a record that doesn't exist, so SHOULD be able to be deleted safely... Of course, that may be a problem with the merge itself, as well, so that's something to check also.

Oldrim - Strange flickering water when it rains.
Shadriss replied to denba666's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Another user reported having some water flickering recently as well, and had tied it to DyndoLOD... are you running this as well? -
Definitely not the correct or expected behavior. Where do you have everything installed at, and (as a shot in the dark here) what kind of drive are these locations on (SSD/HDD)? My thinking here has to do with overly aggressive AV or possibly UAC (more likely the latter at the moment) preventing MO from making changes, so that when MO refreshes, the boxes go back to un-selected. I haven't actually seen or heard of this happening before, but we have to start from somewhere.

Flickering water LOD (Skyrim SE, no mods, only SSELODGen)
Shadriss replied to Zafirbel's question in General Skyrim SE Support
Here to support. -
Here to support - all part of the service. Of course, if you had looked at your own name, you might have figured it out, 'Prisoner'. :) At any rate, just as more filler, the SSEEdit Cache thing is fairly recent... was added about four or five months ago in the newer versions of xEdit, so it hasn't really been mentioned in any guides yet. I may have to recommend it's addition to both the STEP Guide (You listening, Tech?) and Lexy's Guide as well, since it's going to be a thing now.
-
Is this a consistent CTD, or just a one time thing? One time CTDs are a lot more difficult to narrow down, but if it happens every time, there might be some things to look at. Also, I'm assuming by 'modding guide' you mean Lexy's? Try to be as specific as possible when posting issues like this so we're all on the same page.

Flickering water LOD (Skyrim SE, no mods, only SSELODGen)
Shadriss replied to Zafirbel's question in General Skyrim SE Support
The thread he was trying to link to is here... though I'm not sure which specific post, and it's a LONG thread. A search within that thread might help you find what you are looking for. -
A) Assuming MO1/MO2 here? B) Everything on the right is getting unchecked? Every last plugin, not just the new ones you installed? C) Haven't seen this kind of behavior myself, so a step-by-step method of recreation may be helpful to others to try and troubleshoot the issue.

The SSEEdit Cache is something else entirely. Those are files used by xEdit (SSEEdit) to speed up its load times. You can keep those if you wish to, but they are not the cleaned files. The cleaned ones (likely) straight up replaced the original ones. I know you are using the TUCOS guide, but let me recommend taking a look at the actual STEP 2.10 guide, as it has a portion that talks specifically about cleaning mods, where the files end up, and what to do with them: take a look here to see if this doesn't clear things up a bit. Also, on a side note: His name isn't Dragonborn - that's his forum title. That's Greg.
