Is it just me, or is there an odd shadowing going up in the upper abs area, just below the sternum? Almost like there was a plate of something implanted just beneath the skin, causing a hard straight edge. Id' have thought that the shadows would more follow the lines of the rib cage than create this kind of shadowing, but I could be wrong - I don't spend a lot if time looking at female body builders as a comparison. That said, I do like the work being shown here, and as long as it carries over to the other races (which it should, from your previous testing), I'd be more in favor of the middle option (the first non-vanilla). I like the arm definition, though that odd shadowing I mentioned seems to be more prominent in it as well.

I already have put this in, and I use a COT lineup. So far, I haven't seen anything that looks out of place, but I'll need more time to test it. Vividian Vivid ENB has been working well with Dramatic Clouds, and I'm hoping this will work out even better. More news when I have it.

Like the look - and the Khajit thing is rather small. Obvious on close examination, but honestly, I don't see too many of us looking that closely at thier wrists as our faces are being bashed in. I could be wrong on that though... I'll wait for the (hopeful) compilation though - my CBBE setup is working plenty well enough, and I'd rather not mess with my body setups at the moment.

More like than not - I just can't seem to figure out where that incompatibility lies. After pulling each of the patches (with the associated individual mod), I was seeing it even with just RS children itself. Turn it off, back to normal. I can't think what the problem would be, since I KNOW it was working fine for a while... then suddenly BAM. Wierd necked children. I'll have to look at my other non-step mods, but none of them modify children at all (at least, not that doesn't have a patch associated), so I'm quite at a loss. Were it not for this, I'd be all over this mod more. As for you, Slinky... grab it. I seem to be all alone in the problems department here, and it really does look good. :) EDIT/ADDON: OK, try to follow me here, because I'm pretty sure it'll be pretty incoherant. I've looked at the order that RSchildren, it's patches, and the other mods for which those patches apply are ordered by LOOT, and I think I may see the problem. The applicable portion of the load order is thus: RSkyrim Children - 12ETaC Complete - 45ETaC DBS - 52ETaC - RS Children Patch - 82Prince and the Pauper - 112Non Essential Children - 113RSChildren - NEC Patch - 115Inconsequential NPCs - 134PnP - RS - Inconsequential NPCs Patch - 136RS Complete - 137RS - Inconsequential NPC Patch - 138RS USKP Patch - 139Now, most of this KIND of makes sence to me, but shouldn't RS Children (slot 137) be much higher in the order? Like, above the ETaC Patch even? I looked at LOOT, and I don't see a way to modify the meta rules where LOOT doesn't see the mods conflict. Now, I only JUST put in the PnP stuffs (after I posted originally on the problem, actually, since I was hoping that would somehow make it better... ok, that sounded dumb...), so I know they aren't the cause of the problem either, and as I mentioned earlier, the problem seems to be there no matter what when the RS children stuff is installed. Any ideas here? EDIT Part the Second: Now I am completely confused. I went back and redid the mod placements one by one, activating them all in turn and verifying them in game before placing the next one, using Nelkir (Jarl Balgruufs son) as the test child. It all worked. Yay! And then I went out the door, and saw little Lucia... and her floating head. Horrified, I returned to Dragonsreach, to find Nelkir's firmly attached to his shoulders. Uhm... maybe a Hearthfires patch I missed somewhere?

Saw this myself when it released - hadn't done any in-game comparison, since I was happy with Dramatic... that said, with that comparison shot, I may have to. Would love to see what Vividian would turn those scenes into.
-
I know Z posted his pics earlier on, but as he noted, that was just the Nords. Any chance of the other races getting screens as well for comparison?

I *think* you can always use the most recent ENB binaries with any given ENB profile, unless otherwise explicitly stated by the preset author. I don't think most are specific to a given binary, so right now the .254 set would be your best bet.

All stop. I took a closer look a night or two ago at the kids running around in Dragonsreach, and saw something that I either missed thier first time, or has somehow changed since initial install. I'm guessing the former. Basically, the heads and necks are not actually attached to the bodies... not sure how that's possible, but it's what I'm seeing, and it's been confirmed by at least one other player. I've tried to see if it's related somehow to one of the other mods that it requires patches to work with, but no joy - as far as I can tell, it's the mod itself. I have left a note in the mod's T/S forum, and we'll see what that brings us, but for now, I'd have to pull back my recommendation.

Glad to have helped - though credit where it's due, NeoValen posted that command and fix in a seperate thread over in the SRLE troubleshooting forums for the same issue... though he never got it narrowed down, I don't think. I'm sure he'd have mentioned it if he'd gotten here first. Either way, happy to have contributed.

Changes nothing, unfortunately... earlier in this discussion, the same kind of points came up about another mod (can't recall which), and it also had conversions done. After a lot of talk, what it basically came down to was wanting something like Better Males, where the look was changed enough to be decent without requireing ANY additional change to the armor meshes. ESP or no, that's what they are looking for...
-
A simple way to deal with it is to use the 'resetinventory' console command as you come across them. GO into console, click the 'offending' npc, resetinventory using the npc id the console shows. It's a little slower, but it DOES allow you to keep your current save.

aMidianBorn Content Addon Installation Question
Shadriss replied to AddictedxGamer's question in General Skyrim LE Support
'Cause you just gave them to him in a way he understood. :) -
He may have, but that's kind of immaterial. The team is looking for a replacer that doesn't require yet another file to acommadate it... so even if he's converted them all, it's another mod that takes up another slot in the load order. I'm nowhere near the order of modding some of these guys are, and my load order is heavy enough as is...

31KB for mine. I do run a lot of extra stuff outside of STEP Extended, but not IA, which from the sound of it is accounting for the large file size differance. As for the question about if the data is baked into the save, I have to go with Aiyen on this one - it certainly LOOKS like they are. It's always been the same people in a given game, and without a resetinventory command, they stay that way. SO yeah - bothersome, but a required evil, I'm afraid. I'll talk with Kessno when he's on next and see if we can't work something out to help with the testing.
-
I see where you get that, Red, but I know at least one other person besides myself seeing this issue who DON'T have IA installed. Jon Battle Born, the lady blasksmith in Windhelm, and Kust (?) in Falkreath are the only ones I can name for certain. I haven't started a new game to test if the DeLev ReLev on the Add on fixes it or not. So, basic troubleshooting thinking here. 1) We know it HAD to be something in the 2.2.9 update that causes this, simply because we didn't see it prior to the update. 2) Our first candidate, the Addon Content bash tags, have produces mixed results, or at least inconclusive ones. This leads me to thinking this is not it. 3) IA, though a non-Step mod was brought up as a possible, and I think we can discount that since a number of people who are seeing the bug do not use this mod. At this point, I think we look at other large-scale clothing or armor related mods. The two that jump to mind are (as mentioned earlier) CCOR and POSSIBLY (random neuron firing here) the Clothing Fixes mod that was added. I say CCOR first because I was changing my load order as the un-official guide was being updated. I am pretty certain I saw this when CCOR and the Better Males mods were added into that. I discount the Better Males mod based on the lady blacksmith in Windhelm and a random Forsworn I saw out in the Reach. I don't know TES5Edit well enough, nor WB for that matter, to even be able to check these, but given the scale of what CCOR does, and as much as I hate to say it, this has to be my number one suspect for the moment. THoughts?

True, but the Morthal choice will be a bit off just yet - Jenna's merging the non-conflicting portions first, then working on the others. So for now, he may yet be forced to give up one for the other in the short term.

ACCEPTED Skyrim -Community- Uncapper (by Elys)
Shadriss replied to skwareballz's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I can see that arguement easilly... I have to admit to some surprise that the system wasn't carried forward from MW and OB. So, the arguement then seems to be 'Bethesda broke thier own system by putting in a new system, so here's something that fixes that and restores it back to the original Lore'. And that right there TOTALLY fits the mandate. Thanks for the talking points, SRB. Random question... me being USN, I have to ask... SRB is kinda a big deal for us in the Enlisted Side. Any chance you are or have served? (If not, SRB is Selective Reenlistment Bonus... our bonus for signing on for another 4 to 6 years). -

Shadriss replied to skwareballz's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I find it more reasonable with the uncapper, yes. I don't have anything against this mod, remember, I'm just a late-to-the-party guy who is trying to understand the game. I'm perfectly alright with there being an exception to a rule - pretty much every rule has at least one, and if this is it, great. My concerns were mostly driven by the fact that it seems to have been implimented with no real discussion, which is unusual for this group. I imagine it had to have taken place at some point, but with it not being here, I found myself curious. And there is the other reason I brought this up. Was there/has there been any discussion about this and it's place in the STEP lineup since this feature was implemented? I'll be honest, I've not until this point been in a position to actually USE the Legendary skill, so apart from it resetting the skill and making the little dragon icon show up, I have no idea what this does nor why I would want to do this. I was hoping for some discussion of that as well, but again, I was left with nothing to work from. Also, since you brought it up first, were the levelling caps deemed somehow wrong? You say it was made Core specifically for that reason, (and remember, I'm OK with rule exceptions) but would this not be a matter of personal taste since the level system was by design, and not a broken system, which Double mentioned. Again, I'm not trying to start any wars here, I'm trying to be informed. Just about everything else in there makes almost inherant sense, but this one stuck out at me when I was re-examining my load for 2.2.9. So, instead of just being a cow and following the herd, figured I could gain a little info and make an informed decision (to follow the herd). -
ACCEPTED Skyrim -Community- Uncapper (by Elys)
Shadriss replied to skwareballz's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I've looked through this thread, and after doing so, I am still left with some confusion. Allow me to elaborate some: It's original purpose, as I understand it, was to all basically infinite leveling, allowing you to go beyond the in-built skill caps. Yes, I know, it allows a lot of other tweaks as well, but this is really the heart of the mod as far as I'm able to figure. The confusion springs from this: This mod is listed as Core. This changes the vanilla behavior inherently. Prior to the legendary version of SKyrim that allowed for essentially resetting any given skill once you max it at 100, this made sense. With the ability to make skills Legendary, not so much. So, my basic question is why is this a Core mod when it changes the vanilla system so basically? I don't see where the system is so broken (or broken at all, for that matter) that the Mandate would allow for this, especially since there are no recommendations on how to set up the INI. This leads me to the conclusion that the settings are purely a personal choice (not a bad thing, but again, looking at this from the STEP recommendation standpoint) and thus, by that, should ALSO not be Core. Honestly, as I understand the mandates, I'm not sure this belongs in Extended, for that matter. I'm not starting a campaign to remove it - I'm looking for the reasoning behind the inclusion. I was hoping this thread would have that information, but such was not to be. So... please? -
Saw this a few days ago, and it's exactly what the Argonians need... without these, the heads just look wrong. I couldn't figure out why (since I hadn't played Oblivion or Morrowind in... like... forever), but once I saw the screens, it was an instant "Oh yeah... that was it."

Another Naked NPC - Hunter and Fugitive encounter
Shadriss replied to DanielCoffey's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports (retired)
Now that you mention it, I think this was when I started seeing them as well... I know it was something added by 2.2.9 for certain, since I was adding those mods in as they showed up in the (then unofficial) guide, but for some reason I was associating it with the Better Males stuff... since I can't read TES5Edit-ese, I was left just kind of coping with it. THis... just won the most distrubing mental image award for the day... *shudder* -
Have the same issues, though not so often as Kessno... mine strikes about every hour or so, with a similar fix. Neither of us have touched the ENBseries portion, but out ENBlocals are alligned thus: [MEMORY]ExpandSystemMemoryX64=trueReduceSystemMemoryUsage=trueDisableDriverMemoryManager=falseDisablePreloadToVRAM=falseEnableUnsafeMemoryHacks=falseReservedMemorySizeMb=512VideoMemorySizeMb=8192EnableCompression=trueAutodetectVideoMemorySize=false This is based on Aiyen's suggestions over in the Skylight thread a few days ago. My relevant data: Intel i7 3.4GHz GeForce 770 2GB 16GB DDR3 RAM

DOn't use windowed mode, so that's out... he's investigating other avenues of information, so thanks for the effort... at least we've ruled something out. :)
-
OK, so a new question... Since I've installed this ENB, I've noticed that once every hour or so when I change locations I'll get a massive FPS drop. It's easilly cleared by doing the Alt-Tab dance, but I'd much rather find a way to make the un-needed. A friend of mine is seeing this as well, though his seems to do so much more often. I'm assuming this is somehow memory related, but any insight would be helpful.
